Pros/Cons
Pros
- The interface is great, the personalization in notes is excellent, the price is right, and the handwriting is exquisite. Overall GoodNotes is a 10/10 product, highly recommended.
- There are some excellent features, like the ability to resize certain portions or screenshot parts of my textbook and add it to my notebook. Also a good app for signing documents.
- Great experience overall. I love taking notes when you can make them organized & easy to understand.
Cons
- I have the feeling that one day I will receive news that the application has stopped support and that the files that it has been attacked are stolen.
- The text box feature could be better, the use lack of integration with a keyboard makes it frustrating to use.
- If you could cut and paste more than just one page at a time.
Pros
- I have used Mendeley as a researcher for months now. It's ability to manage sources and bibliographies is a god-send especially for people like me who researches a lot regarding related literature.
- I like Mendeley because it is free which is really helping me a lot as a student and user friendly whereby I need not more than 2 hours to get used to it.
- As an earlier adopter to Mendeley, I benefitted by greater storage capacity. I was a strong advocate for Mendeley and used it constantly to collaborate with my research team for nearly two decades.
Cons
- The only downside is that sometimes Mendeley is unable to extract all the necessary paper information automatically, such as the authors and date, and requires manual input.
- The search function would crash. The desktop app was kinda ugly.
- I dislike how when you add a new reference, you have to sync manually in the app and this is not done automatically.
