Huge Help with Multi-Staff Pastoral Care

Seamless. They were a huge help transferring date at the beginning and when we have questions they are very responsive.

Notebird helps us manage and coordinate pastoral care for our congregation among the staff, reducing repetition and being clear about needs/care we can provide.

We wish it synced with our church database, ACS/Realm

A lifesaver for pastoral care

Notebird has really enhanced our ability to provide timely pastoral care and keep on top of situations.

PROS

We love the way that Notebird allows us to consolidate information in one place for our congregants' pastoral care needs. It is a secure and convenient way to keep all those who need to be aware in the loop. We appreciate having a central location for information, reminders of special events, and the ability to set follow ups.

CONS

Being able to set push notifications on mobile devices would be very useful.

Reasons for switching to Notebird

We used to track pastoral care needs on a spreadsheet, but quickly discovered that this was causing extra work and was not very functional.

An amazing tool !!!

Note bird has made my line of work as a leader of multiple pastors under me so much better and effective and has allowed for us to better integrate our relationships among the people

The ease of use, and yet the depth of its value, was one reason we invested on the entire team!

I would have liked for it to be an app and not just an extension of Safari or Google Chrome on my mobile device

Note bird is the data tool your Church Needs

We have a consistency of care for our members and the ability to reduce texts between our Care Team as information is in one spot. It also gives reminders of birthdays and significant milestones and you can tailor it to your church and ministry needs.

PROS

It allows us to keep care notes, track, and follow up with needs if our members. It has features you can use to aid in your ministry. It is a necessary communication tool if your organization is large or small to keep people informed of necessary information.

CONS

Nothing really. It doesn’t have an app, but you can easily use it in a mobile setting by saving the page.

Reasons for switching to Notebird

Needed a better system and it syncs with our church membership database.

Great tool - needs database integration

PROS

Best pastoral care note taking software I’ve ever used. It allows our team to seamlessly communicate about our care loads.

CONS

I would like for it to be integrated with Realm. We currently have to manually synch every contact info change.

An excellent support for Congregational Care

I highly recommend this product. It is like having a personal assistant in Congregational Care. The daily updates keep me abreast of the larger scope of congregational care and the milestones feature provides a joyful excuse for reaching out to members regularly. The capacity to text from Notebird makes those "Thinking of you" and "Happy Birthday" notes so easy to send.

PROS

Notebird helps support a vital discipline of recording important information about congregational care, either for yourself or for a ministry team. It helps recall when you last had contact with individuals, important dates in their lives, and provides prompts for timely follow-up care.

CONS

I wish it synced with Realm so that Notebird notes would be captured by Realm. Notebird is so effectively interactive that I do not want to stop using it in favor of Realm, but when thinking about who will come after me, Realm is the more permanent location for congregational details.

Notebird is a MUST HAVE for Pastors!

PROS

We use Notebird specifically for our Congregational Care. We have a large church body (3000+) with up to a couple hundred of care cases at any given time. I love being able to track notes chronologically all in one place. The best feature is being able to assign tasks for follow up. Having all of our "care" cases in one place with notes, and tasks in one place, has saved creating different to do lists across different platforms.

CONS

It would be nice to have a little more ability to change layout of the profile, including adding customizable information fields. There is information I would like to see attached to a profile, which is possible, but only via the "Notes" category. I would also like to be able to add a photo within Notebird itself. If our database has a photo, that is transferred to Notebird, but you can't attach files, or picture directly in the app.

An Essential Tool for all Care Ministries!

I really don't think I would be able to scale the Care Ministry at my church had it not been for Notebird. People no longer fall through the cracks!

PROS

Making and tracking notes about various care provided to members of the church is vital. This is difficult to share across a large team and is even harder to scale. Notebird solves this problem!

CONS

Notebird is a bit too worried about privacy. Having the email notifications list the update would be nice. The "task visibility" and "groups" feature is strange and I have not found an optimal use for it in my organization.

Reason for choosing Notebird

Planning Center Online (PCO) is entirely too complex and disjointed for "older" deacons in our congregation to effectively use. Plus, PCO just doesn't notify folks as well as Notebird. The beauty of Notebird is its simplicity! It does a few things, and does them well!

A simple and effective way to care for church members.

Overall - very positive. I would definitely recommend the product to fellow pastors and administrators.

PROS

As a pastor and pastoral counselor, I have researched and used a number of different pastoral care and counseling records management programs. Notebird is the only one that I have found that allows me "real time," away from the computer, quick record keeping. It also allows my reporting to the Official Board easy - while also allowing me to maintain appropriate member confidentiality.

CONS

I would like to find a way to more easily alter records so that, if there is a significant delay in my recording, "old" stats can be removed.

Shepherding in the Growing Digital Age

From implementation to daily-use, Notebird has been an overwhelmingly positive experience. Even utilizing customer support has been beneficial in ways that I can't fully comprehend. Our team LOVES using Notebird.

PROS

As a pastoral team we've been able to track contacts of our growing congregation like never before through Notebird's collaborative structure.

CONS

If it can be considered a negative, it's not Notebird's fault: that this has to exist outside of (other) existing management systems we are currently using. In a perfect world, we wouldn't need to utilize this outside of our other current systems.

An indispensable tool for employee care

Exceptional and indispensable tool when caring for people. Many times it has saved me when I was trying to recall an event, encounter, or detail of a person's life.

PROS

This application cuts out the clutter of a church / employee management software while also allowing multiple users to record content.

CONS

The reporting has room for improvement in data manipulation. Having a user defined dropdown list in profiles would be helpful.

Reasons for switching to Notebird

As an absolute database novice I was attempting to create my own employee care database and tracking with Zoho. It was nearly identical to Notebird but had a completely inefficient user interface. Desperate for a better solution, I was intensely searching when I read an article several years old about pastoral care which mentioned use of Care Notebook. Notebird's predecessor. The rest is history.

Game Changer

This product has been so helpful in making our pastoral care systems more manageable and more efficient. Our whole team can stay up to date on each member we are caring for without waiting. It makes collaboration easier and we are able to communicate needs and work together to meet them. Most of our team onboarded very easily and is using Notebird as a part of their daily routine. We are so grateful for this tool that is helping us care for our members and not let people fall through the cracks!

PROS

The pulse indicators that we can set at desired times - these are very helpful. I like the option to view by people or by activity. I like that I can follow certain people and that I can not only archive, but I can Unarchive someone to bring back all of the notes from a previous time period.

CONS

The limited number of groups we can create.

Best Product for Church Care

I am more than satisfied with the product. A friend recommended it to me and I do not know what we would do without it.

PROS

The ease of use is the best feature. I was able to train our team in just a few moments with only a few clicks. We have a team of 10 who have access and we are able to care for people at a higher level. From birthdays, anniversaries, surgery dates, and updates on situations, this product allows our leaders to be in the know about our congregation.

CONS

With so many people adding information and updates, I wish there was a feature (almost like a LIKE button) so that when an update is placed into Notebird, other members can respond by letting the original person know it was seen. Some of my team wished it was an app, but I like that it is web-based.

This was the only product that we researched and it met our needs.

Notebird helps us keep track of our growing congregation

--It has been very helpful for our team to have a "feed" of the contacts/visits we have done...it also is very helpful to have milestones brought to our attention each day. --We also like having a "permanent" file on people where we can check back on our visitation history, etc

PROS

I like: --Ease of adding an update --The speed/responsiveness of it --That it's basic but customizable

CONS

--The cost, the individual user monthly charge makes it cost prohibitive for start up and small ministries that need it most --No push notifications...this is a critical feature that is missing

Reason for choosing Notebird

I switched to Notebird for pastoral care over our CHMS (breeze) because the data is visible on the surface rather than drilling down in 4 layers.

Better Pastoral Care

PROS

It allows me to be a better pastor. I can send daily birthday and anniversary notes and track who, how, and why I have contacted people. That allows me to look back over time and keep a personal and staff team timeline of pastoral care.

CONS

I would like my notes in Notebird to be posted in PCO, too.

Very Pleased With Notebird

The support has been wonderful. Also accessible within a reasonable amount of time, easy to understand, unlimited patience!!!!

PROS

Notebird is intuitive and even those of us who are not very computer literate can learn to use it. It has a place to enter all the information we need for weekly visits with our parishioners when they cannot attend church. Love the "real time" entry of information and immediate access, as well as the on-going history of activities. Using Notebird has totally changed our lay ministry program.

CONS

I cannot think of anything I don't like or anything we don't use.

Using Notebird for Pastoral care mangement

Easy to use and makes pastoral care done so much better at our church.

PROS

Notebird is easy to use and gives our pastoral care staff an instant notification of who has been visited and any concerns by the clergy who went. It is very useful at our weekly pastoral care meetings to go over the visits of the week, and if we need to visit more or less to a person who is homebound or sick

Pastoral Care Coordination Magic!

Very positive. Highly recommended, as it feeds our needs perfectly!

Can write substantial notes to keep track of longer term pastoral care needs. Can also share those notes and updates with designated individuals in the pastoral care team.

CONS

Nothing I can think of, we have not had any significant issues, and customer care is quick and efficient when needed.

Integration with PCO and ease of use

PROS

The integration with PlanningCenter Online has made this a valuable tool for communication across multiple areas of ministry. As a large congregation of over 5,000 in attendance each weekend, the needs can be numerous for a Care Pastor and Ministry Teams. Notebird makes it easy to effectively communicate and follow up on the needs of our congregation.

CONS

Finding names by typing some letters works well in PCO but cannot be done as easily in Notebird.

One of the best decisions ever!

Outstanding. I am pleased with the ability to integrate this software into other church management software. They communicate beautifully and update each other. It's very handy. I really enjoy the notifications and being able to assign visits, etc. to team members.

PROS

Notebird allows me and my team to track members, their health concerns, visitations, and other important information which allows us to serve them and provide care as needed.

CONS

That I didn't discover this sooner! Notebird on occasion has a few bugs, but the tech team is quick and responsive, and always finds a solution.

Reason for choosing Notebird

This is accessible by my visitation and care team, and everything cloud-based.

Great tool for Ministry

It is very user friendly. We can't recommend it enough to pastors and church staffs.

PROS

Notebird is a great resource to keep up with and minister to your people. It seamlessly integrates with Planning Center and we use it everyday to keep up with the various needs of our church family.

CONS

We do not know of any issues with the app.
