### Rating distribution

- 4 stars: 1,193 reviews (26%)
- 3 stars: 172 reviews (4%)
- 2 stars: 28 reviews (1%)
- 1 star: 24 reviews (1%)

### Most mentioned pros

- It has streamlined our sprint planning, process automation, and asynchronous communication across departments. While optimizing the workspace hierarchy takes upfront effort, the return on investment in team productivity and consolidated software spend has been substantial.
- Collaboration has become more efficient through builtin tools such as Docs, whiteboards, task comments and real time chat that make it easier for business teams, agents and brokers to coordinate without losing context across conversation and deliverables
- The repetitive reminders are automated through process automation and the collaboration tools ensure that finance and operations are synchronized without the need to go back and forth all the time.

### Most mentioned cons

- The platform loses simplicity in favor of strong customization, and the calendar view can easily overwhelm and slow down when dealing with multiple simultaneous event schedules.
- Automations also feel limited compared to competitors, setting up more complex workflow triggers often requires workarounds instead of just working natively out of the box.
- Honestly, the UI is my biggest gripe, it feels cluttered and layouts aren't always intuitive, especially with nested spaces, folders, and lists.

Overall, ClickUp has been a strong project management and collaboration tool for our team. We use it primarily to organize projects, assign responsibilities, establish deadlines, and track progress. Once the workspace and workflows are properly configured, it provides a clear overview of what everyone is working on and helps reduce unnecessary follow-ups. The platform is very capable, but keeping the setup simple is important if you want strong adoption across the team.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

The biggest advantage is how much you can manage from one platform. Tasks, projects, deadlines, documentation, and team responsibilities can all be centralized, which gives us much better visibility across ongoing projects.

#### Cons

There is definitely a learning curve. Because ClickUp offers so many features and customization options, the interface can feel overwhelming at first. It also takes some time to build workflows that are simple enough for the entire team to actually use consistently.

#### Reasons for switching to ClickUp

Trello didn't allow us to scale as much as ClickUp allowed us too with all the AI connections and functionalities.

A lot has changed in the platform, and only for the better. The devs do a great job at addressing feature requests by the community and have implemented a ton of long-asked-for functions.

#### Cons

### Transform work into results with Clickup, A smarter way to manage, collaborate and deliver

We've been using Clickup for over 2years as our primary work management platform and it has become one of the most valuable tool in our day to day operations. Before adopting Clickup we explored other platforms but ultimately found that Clickup offered the right balance of flexibility, functionality and value for our business needs. Since implementation, it has helped us streamlines processes, improve visibility across teams and create an organized way of managing our work and projects. The platform continues to evolve with new capabilities and the support experience has been positive whenever we needed assistance. For the cost and range of functionality, Clickup has exceeded our expectations and has helped us to rethink and improve how we manage our workflows across the business

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

We have leveraged Clickup extensively to improve work management and operational visibility across our real estate business. One of the biggest advantages has been it's reporting and dashboard capabilities, which allow us to monitor key metrics such as sales pipeline, project completion rates, team productivity and overall business performance. It also provides us with a centralized digital workspace that has simplified data management by consolidating property listings, contracts, client communications and supporting documents in one location, making retrieval easier. Workflow visualization tools including Kanban boards, gantt charts and calendar views help us map sales activities, manage marketing campaigns , monitor deadlines and keep priorities visible to the team. Collaboration has become more efficient through builtin tools such as Docs, whiteboards, task comments and real time chat that make it easier for business teams, agents and brokers to coordinate without losing context across conversation and deliverables

#### Cons

There are no many major issues, but one area that requires additional attention for our business is security governance. Clickup's security controls are strong on paper, however because we manage sensitive business information such as property documentation, financial records and client identification data, we found that stronger security measures were necessary to align with our data handling standards and had to reinforce permission structures and tighten access management practices by adopting other security tools.

#### Reasons for switching to ClickUp

We needed a more scalable work management platform that offered deeper reporting, advanced workflow customization, stronger collaboration features and better visibility across projects and business operations

The all-in-one platform makes it easy to centralize work. The flexibility to create custom fields, statuses, and workflows helps support a variety of operational processes.

#### Cons

Because ClickUp is so feature-rich, it has a steeper learning curve, and new users can find it overwhelming at first. Some advanced configurations require ongoing maintenance, and occasional performance issues or interface changes can disrupt established workflows.

#### Reasons for switching to ClickUp

We switched from Asana to ClickUp to gain more flexibility and customization. ClickUp's ability to centralize project management, documentation, dashboards, and automations in one platform made it a better fit for our evolving operational needs.

#### Cons

There is a lot to learn, so it can be a bit complicated. Frankly I don't even use the fancy tools they provide.

Well, my overall experience has been exceptional. I was blown away by an AI that cares and can help me organize and automate my work: Task management is 100%. The only problems have been the interface and the learning curve. It takes a while to get used to.

#### Ratings breakdown

#### Pros

I like the AI agents system, The ability to create various agents and allocate tasks, the ability to integrate with my outlook email and other platforms

#### Cons

The UI/UX mainly: I feel the options, menus, and items could be better organized, and it takes a while to get used to it. I had to use the brain AI for my first few days to help me work and also to point me in the right direction. There are usually a lot of things happening on the screen when you sign up, which can be confusing for a first-time user.

#### Reasons for switching to ClickUp

It wasn't as organized or focused on task automation and integration

So far it's been the most robust and intuitive project manager. I like how it blends project management with onboarding and document management to avoid switching between apps like Google Drive and Harvest

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Customer Support has been very helplful to ensure my certifications. As a recent project manager who migrated from TeamWork, I found their interface way more resourceful because I was able to store SOPs and onboarding processes to blend them which allowed me to also enable project collaboration between team members and thus, a leaner and more intuitive team collaboration approach to avoid cluttered manual processes and enable fasten process automations without much effort. The calendar is also highly intuitive which makes time slots and bookings much more efficient and the client management also faster when we want to onboard new clients. It's ease of use makes it so accessible that even casual users may find ClickUp the best work and personal life management optimal.

#### Cons

It can sometimes have too many features. I have to find a good reason on a personal level to use all these features.

#### Reasons for switching to ClickUp

Too archaic to my perspective, I found it very outdated.

It is a powerful all in one tool for managing tasks, working on projects with others, coordinating teams automations processes and making plans. When set up correctly, it makes things a lot easier to find, work together, and get things done by keeping everything in one place. ClickUp is an incredibly flexible, feature-packed hub that handles project collaboration and automations beautifully. However, the learning curve is quite steep, and the interface can feel overwhelming with options at first. It offers great value for tracking work, but it requires patience during the initial setup phase.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I love how incredibly flexible ClickUp is as an all-in-one hub for project and team collaboration. The ability to customize dashboards, view tasks in multiple ways (like lists or calendars), and set up custom process automations has completely transformed how I track my work. It offers massive value for money given how feature-packed it is.

#### Cons

The learning curve is incredibly steep, and the user interface can feel very overwhelming and cluttered when you are first setting things up. Because it does so much, it took me a long time to figure out the best workflow without getting bogged down by the sheer number of options and occasional minor lagging issues.

It's definitely made our departmental project management and tracking easier with ClickUp. It may take time to configure up to begin with, but when it is, it is great for keeping teams on track and on schedule. The automation capabilities have saved us tons of time on repetitive tasks, and the team collaboration tools kept us informed across teams. It's a wise thing to invest in businesses like ours, which are small to medium sized.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

ClickUp has helped a lot for organizing our department plans and projects. We have the flexibility to customize task views which helps when it comes to managing cross team workflows. The constant task of automation is useful for maintaining regular administrative tasks. In addition, the calendar function is helpful in coordinating deadlines between departments and the company's overall roadmap.

#### Cons

The first time installation was daunting due to the many available features and took more effort than anticipated to get set-up as needed. There was a problem with slow loading times while performing larger projects in which the numbers of subtasks to be worked out were high, reported by some team members. Onboarding would be less cumbersome for less tech-savvy colleagues, which would help adoption rates in all positions.

Overall, it has been very pleasant to work on ClickUp and get organized in a 200 FTEs organization. Yet, it has been necessary to streamline our way of working and centralize how to use the tool as it can become quickly messy if you don't administrate it.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Clickup is really easy to use but also really customizable. We have several teams in my company and each of them has its way of working, ClickUp is enabling us to fit their requirements. Also, it's very visual and there are a lot of automation possibilities, helping us to gain significant time.

#### Cons

The UX is sometimes too heavy: it can become difficult to navigate from one view to the other as there could be lot of items on a single page. Also, it can become difficult to go through icons list, especially if you set lot of different possibilities - the system does not help managing replicates at scale.

Overall, it's a good system for managing workload, especially for a diverse remote-working team functioning in three different time zones. I know what I'm doing even when I don't know what I'm doing.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

It makes it easy to manage tasks, to-do lists, and priorities across a whole team. As we collaborate together on our project, ClickUp keeps everyone on the same page. I don't just have my own list, but I can see my coworkers' lists and keep tabs on upcoming items I can start if I have time. I can prioritize and organize with flags, custom tags, and the ordering of tasks. It also helps us keep up with our calendar as we can set deadlines and see our progress on that front.

#### Cons

Sometimes the process of moving tasks around within the site is tedious. I'll be trying to move a task within a section and it gets sucked into being a subtask instead. The subtask tracking is something I want to like, but I don't, because the subtasks end up with less visibility and some confusion about what's done or not done.

ClickUp serves as a highly sophisticated command center for anyone looking to streamline complex operations. It bridges the gap between granular task tracking and high-level project oversight beautifully. While the premium tiers demand a higher financial investment, the sheer depth of consolidation and time saved makes the price rate a highly justifiable expense for professionals who value a truly comprehensive digital environment.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

ClickUp’s greatest strength lies in its unparalleled flexibility. It successfully moves beyond the rigid structures of traditional project management software, allowing users to customize views(from elegant Kanban boards to detailed Gantt charts)without cluttering the user interface. Theres ability to centralize tasks, docs, and goals in one cohesive ecosystem eliminates digital friction and significantly elevates daily productivity. It feels less like a tool and more like a digital workspace.

#### Cons

While the platform is incredibly powerful, its vast feature set comes with a noticeable learning curve. Initial configuration can feel slightly overwhelming for new team members. Additionally, navigating the pricing structure requires careful assessment; while the entry-level tiers are quite accessible, unlocking advanced features like complex automations and resource management requires stepping up to the higher-paid tiers, which can add up quickly for growing teams.

Overall, my experience with ClickUp was positive. It is a powerful project management platform with a lot of flexibility, which makes it a strong option for teams that need detailed organization and customizable workflows. While it can take some time to get fully comfortable with the platform, once everything is set up properly it can be very effective for keeping projects on track and improving visibility across teams.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

What I liked most about ClickUp was how much it brings into one place. It made it easier to manage tasks, projects, deadlines, and team communication without constantly switching between different tools. I also liked the level of customization, especially the ability to set up views, statuses, and workflows in a way that matched how the team actually worked.

#### Cons

What I liked least about ClickUp was that it can feel overwhelming at times, especially for new users. Because there are so many features and settings, the platform has a bit of a learning curve. In some cases, it felt like simple task management could become more complicated than it needed to be, and the interface could feel a little cluttered.

Overall my experience with ClickUp has been very positive. As an IT manager coordinating offshore hiring projects, it has helped centralize communication, streamline workflows, and improve transparency across teams. Its adaptability allows us to tailor workflows to our needs, boosting productivity and collaboration.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

ClickUp is an incredibly powerful and flexible project management and productivity tool. I appreciate its customizable views (List, Board, Gantt) and the way it consolidates tasks, documents, goals, and chat into one platform. The built-in time tracking, automation rules, and integrations with tools like Slack and GitHub make collaboration seamless, which is essential for our offshore teams.

#### Cons

Because ClickUp offers so many features, it can be overwhelming for new users, and the learning curve is steeper than simpler tools. There are occasional performance lags with large projects, and some advanced features are available only in higher-tier plans. The mobile app could also be more polished.

### Murky UX but otherwise efficient.

Overall it's just fine. I've used others like Trello and Basecamp - I'd recommend those before ClickUp.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

ClickUp keeps everything all in one place. Assign deadlines, change the scope of a project, assess timelines... you can even submit invoices if you create them right. Chats are easy to collaborate and you can also speak one on one with your colleagues. Overall, it's fairly straightforward, though not the easiest collab app on the market.

#### Cons

The interact is cluttered and it can be hard to navigate. Everything's there, but it's all there in ONE PLACE - no way to organize by category. For instance, if I wanted to view all of my upcoming article briefs I can not do that. I have to go back and forth to click individually on each one.
