## Reviews summary

- Overall rating: 4.6/5
- Total reviews: 4,630

### Secondary ratings

- Ease of use: 4.3/5
- Customer support: 4.5/5
- Value for money: 4.6/5
- Functionality: 4.6/5

### Rating distribution

- 5 stars: 3,212 reviews (69%)
- 4 stars: 1,194 reviews (26%)
- 3 stars: 172 reviews (4%)
- 2 stars: 28 reviews (1%)
- 1 star: 24 reviews (1%)

### Most mentioned pros

- It has streamlined our sprint planning, process automation, and asynchronous communication across departments. While optimizing the workspace hierarchy takes upfront effort, the return on investment in team productivity and consolidated software spend has been substantial.
- Collaboration has become more efficient through builtin tools such as Docs, whiteboards, task comments and real time chat that make it easier for business teams, agents and brokers to coordinate without losing context across conversation and deliverables
- The repetitive reminders are automated through process automation and the collaboration tools ensure that finance and operations are synchronized without the need to go back and forth all the time.

### Most mentioned cons

- The platform loses simplicity in favor of strong customization, and the calendar view can easily overwhelm and slow down when dealing with multiple simultaneous event schedules.
- Automations also feel limited compared to competitors, setting up more complex workflow triggers often requires workarounds instead of just working natively out of the box.
- Honestly, the UI is my biggest gripe, it feels cluttered and layouts aren't always intuitive, especially with nested spaces, folders, and lists.

It has been a good experience for our team. It integrates with PageProof well, and I was able to create custom columns to track our projects' progress in PageProof right in our ClickUp dashboard.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

ClickUp has helped us increase collaborative efforts by providing transparency so we can see what other teams are working on. It is easy to use and also allows us to track projects and identify bottlenecks so we can hold people accountable. We were able to automate a lot of functions which also helps with keeping us all on track and accountable. The customer support has been good. And you can also request new features and if enough other users agree with your suggestion, they may be implemented. We also like that ClickUp integrates with our proofing software.

#### Cons

We had an expert help us with the initial set up and creating automations. It difficult to figure out how to set up automations if you don't do it regularly.

#### Reasons for choosing ClickUp

We liked the usability of it and that it integrated with other software.

#### Reasons for switching to ClickUp

The way Asana was set up did not work for our team. We had no input in the way it was set up.

### Powerful Project Management With Plenty of Flexibility

Overall, ClickUp has been a strong project management and collaboration tool for our team. We use it primarily to organize projects, assign responsibilities, establish deadlines, and track progress. Once the workspace and workflows are properly configured, it provides a clear overview of what everyone is working on and helps reduce unnecessary follow-ups. The platform is very capable, but keeping the setup simple is important if you want strong adoption across the team.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

The biggest advantage is how much you can manage from one platform. Tasks, projects, deadlines, documentation, and team responsibilities can all be centralized, which gives us much better visibility across ongoing projects.

#### Cons

There is definitely a learning curve. Because ClickUp offers so many features and customization options, the interface can feel overwhelming at first. It also takes some time to build workflows that are simple enough for the entire team to actually use consistently.

#### Reasons for switching to ClickUp

Trello didn't allow us to scale as much as ClickUp allowed us too with all the AI connections and functionalities.

We use ClickUp mainly for finance team tasks and recurring month end and year end work. It helps a lot when there are many deadlines at the same time. I can quickly see what is done, what is overdue and who is working on what.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Recurring tasks are very useful for things like month end checklists, reconciliations and regular reporting. We also use dashboards to get a quick view of overdue items instead of going through each task one by one. Comments inside the task help as well because the discussion stays within one place

#### Cons

There are so many features that it can feel a bit confusing at first. We tried some automations but didnt really need anything advanced. Pricing can also get a bit expensive when more users are added.

#### Reasons for switching to ClickUp

Task management became harder as the team got bigger and the management decided to give this a try

Overall, my experience with ClickUp has been positive. It has helped me stay organized, manage tasks more efficiently, and keep projects in one place. The collaboration and customization features are especially useful, although there is a bit of a learning curve at first. Once I became familiar with the platform, it made my workflow much more productive.

#### Ratings breakdown

The interface is easy to navigate after getting familiar with it, and the collaboration features make it simple to stay organized and track progress. I also appreciate the customization options and automation tools, which help save time and improve productivity.

#### Cons

### My Most Favorite Tool! Operational Dream

Overall, my experience has been great. The price point is fantastic for all that I get with this tool. My operations are now more organized than ever, and it's easier to collaborate on projects with my team without having to spend an excessively heavy amount of money adding seats to my specialized accounting CRM for team-members collaborating on projects with me. For a growing firm, this is a big deal. I can set permissions in ClickUp appropriate for what I need, communicate seamlessly, and track every little idea that pops into my head and keep those organized rather than in a million different phone or sticky notes. It's a backend of operations dream and now replacing my other lead funnel software now that I'm having it professionally built out for me and I couldn't be more excited to use this software to its fullest potential.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

ClickUp has been a massive game changer for my business! I love the ability to organize every aspect of my business and keep it in one centralized location. Having separate workspaces for different departments aka "hats" (even as a solopreneur) is instrumental in keeping things running smoothly- such as an area for Marketing Planning (as well as tracking campaigns and promotions), Operations planning, Networking tracking, Referral partners, memberships, and even a lead tracking pipeline. The team collaboration aspect is also incredibly helpful and well-built. It's very neurodivergent friendly and although can be a bit overwhelming to set up by yourself, there are numerous free templates, as well as an array of professionals who have dedicated their businesses to helping get this setup and streamlined. Automations are also fantastic and the number of integrations available really goes a long ways to truly being one centralized hub of operations. I also use a different account to help with homeschool planning and it's amazing even on the "home-front". I could talk about my favorite features for a long time- to sum it up: automations are fantastic, the layout is as well, variety of views from kanban to list, etc. It has something for every sort of person. I also love the meeting recorder ai function so I can streamline my tech stack.

#### Cons

If I had to pick on one thing (ok, maybe two things) I would say that what I like least is the limitations on sub tasks in the lower tiered plans. Having them be a set amount permanently and not renewable is not ideal, however there are alternatives in setup so it's not too massive. The only other challenge I have is just how involved setup can be to get it running smoothly- it can be overwhelming if you're not the type of person who has experience for this. That said, it's still fantastic and better than other similar programs I've tried in the past. I really love the layout and features so these things can be easily overlooked.

#### Reasons for choosing ClickUp

I loved the suite of features, layouts, and price point of ClickUp more. I also had many colleagues praise ClickUp for their businesses which helped my decision.

#### Reasons for switching to ClickUp

I found Trello to be challenging to navigate and overall the layout didn't work well for me. Dubsado had a lot of fantastic features but still didn't have quite what I needed to fully organize the backend of my business- such as Marketing planning and things like these. ClickUp checks off every box that I need it to and has customizable views.

Our overall experience with ClickUp has been very positive. It has become the central hub for managing projects, coordinating teams, and keeping track of deadlines and workloads. The platform has helped us improve organization, increase transparency across departments, and automate many repetitive administrative tasks. Although there is a learning curve due to the extensive feature set, the flexibility and customization options make it well worth the effort. ClickUp continues to evolve with regular updates, and it has played an important role in making our project management processes more efficient and collaborative.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

What I like most about ClickUp is how much it helps centralize our work in one place. We use it to manage projects, assign tasks, track deadlines, and collaborate across different teams, which has significantly improved visibility and organization. The platform is highly customizable, allowing us to adapt workflows to our specific processes without feeling restricted. Features like task dependencies, automations, calendars, dashboards, and multiple project views make it easy to keep projects on track and reduce manual work. Collaboration is another strong point. Team members can comment directly on tasks, share files, and stay updated without relying on long email chains. The interface is intuitive overall, and new team members can become productive relatively quickly. We've also had positive experiences with customer support whenever we've needed assistance. Considering the breadth of features included, ClickUp offers excellent value for money and has become an essential part of our daily project management.

#### Cons

While ClickUp is extremely powerful, the sheer number of features can make it feel overwhelming at first. There is a learning curve before teams can take full advantage of the platform, especially when configuring custom workflows and automations. Occasionally, some pages or dashboards can feel a bit slow to load, particularly in larger workspaces with many projects. I would also appreciate more flexibility in reporting and dashboard customization for advanced project analytics. That said, these are relatively minor drawbacks compared to the overall value the platform provides, and new features and improvements are released regularly.

My experience with ClickUp has been very positive now that we’ve got it dialed in. It’s highly customizable, which means you can really make it match your team's unique process, but you have to be willing to invest the time to set it up properly. If you want a simple, 'out of the box' tool, this might be too much, but if you want complete control over your project management workflow, it’s an excellent choice.

#### Ratings breakdown

#### Pros

ClickUp is incredibly powerful and flexible. I love being able to view my projects in so many different ways. List, Board, Calendar, and Gantt charts all in one place. It’s a true 'all-in-one' hub, which has helped us stop jumping between five different apps to manage tasks, documents, and collaboration.

#### Cons

The flip side of having so many features is that the platform can feel very cluttered and overwhelming at first. There is a definite learning curve, and it takes some serious time and effort upfront to get your workspace set up in a way that actually makes sense for your team.

And like many users have noted, you really get the most out of it if you decide to go all in and integrate it fully into your processes. The free version is more of a starting point, and you’ll eventually need to commit if you want to unlock its full potential. So in summary, it’s a strong tool if you’re ready to embrace it fully.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I found ClickUp really intuitive and easy to use for all the basics. It made collaborating with my team simple, allowing us to assign and manage tasks seamlessly. I also appreciated its AI features, which added a nice boost to handling tasks. Overall, its strength in task and project management stood out and made the whole experience really effective.

#### Cons

While ClickUp was easy to set up for the basics, its wide range of features could feel a bit overwhelming. In other words, its strength was also a bit of a weakness, because there were so many layers that it took some time to really get to grips with how everything worked. Another downside was running into paywalls fairly quickly. You’d see what you wanted to do, but then you’d hit an upgrade prompt, which could be a bit limiting.

Overall, it's a good system for managing workload, especially for a diverse remote-working team functioning in three different time zones. I know what I'm doing even when I don't know what I'm doing.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

It makes it easy to manage tasks, to-do lists, and priorities across a whole team. As we collaborate together on our project, ClickUp keeps everyone on the same page. I don't just have my own list, but I can see my coworkers' lists and keep tabs on upcoming items I can start if I have time. I can prioritize and organize with flags, custom tags, and the ordering of tasks. It also helps us keep up with our calendar as we can set deadlines and see our progress on that front.

#### Cons

Sometimes the process of moving tasks around within the site is tedious. I'll be trying to move a task within a section and it gets sucked into being a subtask instead. The subtask tracking is something I want to like, but I don't, because the subtasks end up with less visibility and some confusion about what's done or not done.

Overall, my experience with ClickUp has been good. It’s a powerful all-in-one productivity tool that works well for managing complex projects and teams. However, it takes time to learn and set up properly. Once configured, it becomes a very efficient system for organizing work and improving productivity.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

ClickUp offers a wide range of features in one platform, including task management, time tracking, docs, and goal setting. It’s highly customizable, allowing me to organize my workflow exactly how I want. I also like the different views (list, board, calendar), which make it flexible for different types of projects.

#### Cons

The platform can feel overwhelming at first due to the number of features. It has a learning curve, especially for new users. Sometimes the app can be slow or laggy, particularly on large projects, and some advanced features are only available in paid plans.

### It has finally helped us to connect all the aspects of our marketing effort.

It turned out to be the backbone of our companies campaigning process. Automation of the process manages the repetitive handoffs among the team members and collaboration tools make projects move forward without necessarily having to check-in with team members to sustain the momentum.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

The presence of campaign work, team work, calendar due dates and process automations all in a single location eliminated the coordination overhead that was silently consuming our real creative work each and every week.

#### Cons

The amount of features is twice as much during the initial stages. To bring our entire marketing team to a unified understanding of how to use it was more orderly than I had originally intended.
