Also the only place we could get totals was at the bottom of the stack which doesn't''t translate well to a an actually readable working budget. #### Reasons for choosing Stackby Generally this is an invaluable tool. I've used airtable and Infinity and for the value and constant commitment to dynamically adapting their toolset, Stackby has been essential to track our growing list of clients and where they are in our onboarding process. There were a couple of initial things we didn't understand, but they were very patient with us and explained them — and also made changes so that it was easier for us to use. I like that it's affordable than airtable. I am using it for monitoring applicants. If it doesn't delete my files, I will love this product. #### Cons At first, when the records are not yet too many, I don't experience problems. Yet now, I experience it often. The product seems not yet mature, that's why it has lot of bugs and downtimes. I do hope that later on they will improve the product. The app I was previously using simply doesn't have the functionality to hold up, and I tried Stackby and Airtable. While Airtable is an institution, Stackby is just as good in nearly every way, offering plenty of functions and customization, easy to learn to use, and great to keep up with. Additionally, we have created a Employee Loan Tracker stack as well.Loving all the features! #### Cons Their Type conversational Form is very similar to TypeForm- which is awesome. Only slight tweaks needed:-If the Initial welcome title & description can go away once the user begins taking the survey/ completing the form (this would allow focus soley on the questions at hand.)- On laptop, if the user is completing the form with a mouse, the page seems to skip over multiple questions at the slightest touch to mouse wheel. #### Reasons for choosing Stackby Was sold on the Form Features. I’ve been following them for a few years and they are constantly adding new functionality. One on the horizon is the ability to link between stacks. A huge deal when one wants to link the “database” stacks to one another. They have a great phone app to make using the app on the go actually possible. Wouldn’t want to do a lot of heavy work on the app. But I find that you can actually use for looking up data results quite easily. Pricing compared to other options is very competitive, if not the best in value. #### Cons As I mentioned, Stackby is constantly adding new features and functionality. That’s great, but it also means as a growing company they don’t have everything at the level I know they want it to be. I find many of their templates are too simplistic for real world applications. That doesn’t mean that the functionality isn’t there it’s just that you may have to dig in a little more than you anticipated to get the functionality you need. That said, you can reach out to the Stackby team, and their support team will help, they may even help you build a template that you’re looking for. #### Reasons for choosing Stackby Looked for the best database no-code solution for the money. Being able to embed specific views, lock views, filter, sort, etc. Also being able to share individual views instead of the entire stack or table with people is very valuable. And, while I haven't use it yet, the API integration is also something I really like about this software. #### Cons Being a new software I can appreciate they won't have 100% of the functions yet. I'd love to see being able to import and match records; currently, you can only append. This is a BIG need when it comes to keeping data up-to-date and not duplicated. This helps us avoid double-entry data: we only need to input contact information in one place and can access it from different stacks. As a young company, Stackby works hard to ship new features. They listen and respond to user input in a way that I've not seen in another company. I also really like the effort the team has put into making Stackby easy on the eyes. #### Cons This software still behaves like an advanced beta. You may find a bug here or there, and some functionality hasn't been fully built yet. The most difficult part of this is that there's no way to link the live database with a desktop app such as Outlook for mail merges. You have to save a CSV copy in order to work with the data that way. You need to use plugins and pay premium, which can become very expensive, also, with a lot of moving parts that can go wrong. Stackby is now an essential tool on our tech belt, it's a spreadsheet, a database system and a lot of API integrations, you can also set formulas. We are saving a ton of time, and a ton of money using this tool. I love it that I can use for almost anything I want, and I grow to love it more everyday as I have been seeing the non-stop improvement by the team. I admit that at the beginning of the year, I did not quite like it. But once I gave it another try recently this beast becomes another monster on steroids! I love the API and the integrations that the dev team have been adding weekly, or even daily lately. #### Cons I wish the app could be a little faster. I still have a lot to learn to use it to the fullest, but it is solving so many of my data organization problems, Stackby will give you a ton of your time back. Google sheets are great but fall short when you want to integrate data from 3rd parties. With Stackby, I can have prospects in a spreadsheet and update their data based on 3rd party api's without any programming skills; it's like magic. I also like that the functionality is similar to other products. What I like the most though is that the company continues to develop more features that help it move and stay ahead of the competition. Customer support is responsive, and the company is transparent about the direction they're headed in.
