Straight forward task management
We recommend it to anyone in the business to manage their own workload. This is separate to the task management for projects.
PROSHaving a desktop app that provides an easy to manage task list helps me to stay on top of my workload, with a focus on priority.
CONSMaking notes about the task I’m working on, isn’t great. If it could have a markdown editor, or ability to link to notes stored locally in another Mac based note app like ‘bear’, that would really help.

Get your to-dos sorted by Todoist.
For the past 4 years, i have had the most amazing experience using Todoist. The product is easy to use and it makes it easy for me to access my to-dos anytime from anywhere. This allows me to plan both the onsite duties and the remote ones.
PROSWith Todoist, am very accurate at my daily work since it keeps me aware of my to-dos at all times such that i get to do a task at the right time and moment. It has an easy to interact and engage with user interface which allows me to access all my work plans easily and from anywhere. The automations are really making my information entry very simple since i just have to feed in some basic details and it gets the rest of the planning, sorting and prioritizing done for me.
CONSI find Todoist very cheap and well suited to solve my work organization needs. I have nothing against it at all.

Easy To Use, Not So Easy To Organice
The founder of the company really likes it to keep track of what everyone is doing so I've been using it for the last 5 months (since I started in this company). But anyway, I actually keep using the Notes App on Mac which is really similar to Todoist but I can keep my tasks private - which is something I wish I could do on Todoist, not sure if there is a way already but it's not very clear who can see what.
PROSMe and my team really like how easy to use it is. It helps keeping track of what needs o be done and lets other people know what's been completed. It doesn't over complicate things and it's really good that you can have it on your phone and get updates on notifications.
CONSI get that keeping it simple must be the main idea behind this app. However, I'd appreciate if some hierarchy could be applied when organising the tasks. The way to organise projects on the left part could be, for example, group into folders so once a project is finished you could, for example, move it to an archive folder. All the Karma points system and the notifications is a bit confusing or just not clear enough. Is it just to cheer you up when you've completed many tasks or has it got any actual purpose? But the most important: I wish tasks wouldn’t disappear from my inbox right when I complete them. I wish I could still see them (maybe in a lighter grey colour) so I see what I've completed and then I could manually move them into a project folder when I don't want to see them anymore. Also, I'd appreciate if some type of colour coding could be applied in some way.
Reasons for switching to Todoist
Todoist seems more straightforward and notifies everyone in the team.

Todoist is one the best task management tools
Great but I now switched to an other tool.
PROSTodoist is one the best task management tools and the best thing about this tool is the clean design and the fact that they constantly adds new features.
CONSThere are still some features missing like to not have to see later items on some screens.

It does 90% of what you need, I guess
It's honestly fine. It has tags, quick entry, good integrations, subtasks. But the app isn't exactly... good. It does enough.
PROSIt has a quite a large amount of integration possibilities. If you judge a todo app by 'how quick can I enter an item' it'd rank quite highly because of this. Alfred. Fantastical. Slack. You can input an item *anywhere*.
CONSThe board view. It's not exactly a logical way to do 'tasks' as you end with them just disappearing. Or you switch the view to keep everything visible but... do you really want to do that?

Amazing tool to increase productivity and manage projects. Very easy to use.
Great experience. We use it in a daily basis, with the free version. It's an excellent collaborative to-do list.
PROSIt like a collaborative to-do list. Very easy to use. The freemium version has most of the essential features and is more than enough for a small business.

Todoist Review.
I love Todoist because it helps me know what I have planned for tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, and for the month ahead. This product helps bring order to my life and my thoughts.

Simple unassuming tool to manage tasks
Simplicity is a key feature here along with interoperability across devices. This simplicity in usage even extends to the API, making it a handy tool to track quick tasks and activities.
CONSWhile it is great for quick tasks that can be done within a few minutes, it becomes less useful as the tasks get bigger. It can still help there if used as a reminder (which is a paid feature) but this is when you begin to need more sophisticated tools.

Simplicity, Speed, & Ease Of Use
What makes Todoist stand out is it's streamlined design. The design itself is minimal and clean. You organize tasks into projects, and those projects can be organized into sub-projects. One of it's best features is natural language input: you can set the due date, priority, project, labels, and more all in the name of the task. This makes it super fast to create & edit tasks, and makes it easy to get ideas out of your head and into Todoist.
CONSThe one feature I want Todoist to have is custom features. At the moment you can create "filters", which allow you to show tasks filtered by due date, project, label, etc. However the tasks always show up in a list style view. I would love it if you could display the filter in an alternate view such as a kanban board, or any of the other views offered by ClickUp's dashboards or Notion's database views.
Reasons for switching to Todoist
ClickUp has a lot of cool features, however it is a bit slow / clunky feeling. I didn't need the features that much, and I was willing to sacrifice those features for the increased speed / ease of use offered by Todoist.

The to-do app I've actually stuck with for a long time
It's superb for always being ready to go. I really love the Android widget that always sits on my home screen right next to my calendar and weather. It shows my task list for the day and I have no excuse for not knowing what needs doing.
PROSI have used Todoist for almost 3 years now and it's the one to-do product that I seem to be able to stick with. I went through a variety of to-do-list managers before this, but somehow because of the wide range of platforms that it supports, including a browser extension, a native Windows app, mobile apps, and a native Mac app, Todoist meets my needs really well. So I guess the feature I like the most is it's ubiquity and speed--it's always close at hand. It can even be the default to-do manager on an Alexa device, which is really nice because you don't have to say "open Todoist" or something like that.
CONSThe free version is really limited. I had the paid version for quite a while and then switched back, but miss a few of the paid features. Even simple things like seeing completed to-dos aren't available unless you pay, so consider the free tier to be VERY limited.
Reasons for switching to Todoist
I switched to Todoist when MS bought Wunderlist and threatened to discontinue it. I haven't looked back--Todoist has been great.

A Great Way to Keep Yourself Organized and Productive
It has a lot of wiggle room. Jobs may be broken down into smaller tasks, and each task can be scheduled. Custom categories can be created by you. On the go, there's an app to keep track of things. Has access to a wide range of equipment. And you'll get daily email reminders, with a lot of encouragement, as well.
PROSTodoist is a simple task management tool. Todoist may be accessed from a variety of devices. There are two ways to access it: online and on the go. User satisfaction will be enhanced by the fact that data is synchronized and may be modified simply. Managing task lists is a breeze because to the user-friendly layout, which makes it easy to find the most important features. It is possible to prioritize activities in Todoist, as well as add comments to each job and estimate the amount of time it will take to finish it.
CONSYou have to keep going and be aggressive in order to succeed. A to-do list might start to feel like simply another thing to check off your list if you aren't actively interested in it. That's not Todoist's fault, though. But if you're serious about utilizing it, you'll need to put in the time and effort.
Reasons for switching to Todoist
Using Todoist, I learned how to prioritize my work so that I could do the most time-consuming activities first. I can now access all of my notes, lists, and other data from any computer or mobile device. Tasks can also be rearranged according to their importance.

Todoist - A flexible and value for money work and project management tool
Very positive real world use experience over the last few years and ensures nothing is missed or forgotten and all project/stakeholder requests/asks are quickly captured and integral to how my team operates.
PROSThe ease of use for creating different 'project' areas that have unique project stages and tasks. These projects can often be repetitive in approach and nature and the ability to create 'template' saves time, improves consistency and quality of project delivery and contributes to project delivery success.Integrations with other cloud tools/email provides greater flexibility and completeness ensuring all tasks are captured at point of creation and no requests/tasks are forgotten.
CONSNothing so far - very flexible tool, available across desktop/webapp/smart devices and the price is very good for smaller organisations and teams to have a very capable project/task management solution.
Reason for choosing Todoist
Overall, the flexibility and ease of use in creating workflow that fitted how my team works, the great pricing, integration options, ease of initial set up and the number of options for working with the product ensure access to the product and features are never far away.

Perfect Your Productivity With Todoist, Not Your Trello Board
I've used them all. From AirTable to ClickUp. From Asana to Trello. I liked them all for two weeks, and then I got lost in the formulas. I desperately just wanted something that looked like a to-do list. I'm fairly tech-savvy. I'm used to Excel spreadsheets, and I enjoy automation. But when it comes to project management, I found that I was spending more time sorting out my Trello boards (or any other board) to be presentable, set up automations, and generally maintain it, than actually getting work done. I'm a copywriter, and my business revolves around creating copy for clients. As such, time management is a massive part of what I do. So, I needed to find something that was simple, presented clearly, and easily edited. Then I found todoist. It's brilliantly straightforward. You need to set up different 'workspaces', but it's literally just different lists. I use a different list for different clients. They can see only their list, and no one else's. Then, click the + button to add tasks. You can add subtasks, too, which is super useful. I personally LOVE the noise it makes when you cross off one of your tasks. A super pleasing 'click' like noise. You can set daily goals of the number of tasks you want to complete, too, which is good for productivity. Overall, Todoist has a really simple design, and an even simpler user-experience. But that's why I love it so much.
PROSI love how straightforward Todoist is to use. The design is clean and clear, and everything about it is just as simple. I was fed up with the complex formulas of other project management software. I'm a massive fan of the subtasks feature. You can create smaller tasks underneath a bigger task, which, as a copywriter, is very useful. I can pop in tasks like 'Competitor Research', and then place subtasks under this that help me finalize the task. I also love that you can set notifications as deadlines. It's almost like an alarm that pings when you need to get something done. You can customize it, too, to send you reminders a certain number of days ahead of time. That helps your productivity massively. You can also add on clients to your lists, so they can monitor the progress that has been made.
CONSThere are no massive negatives to this software. There are areas they could grow. AirTable, for example, has automations that you can set up. So, if a task has been completed, an automatic email (which you can customize) is sent to the client informing them a task has been completed. If Todoist wanted to do something like that, I think it's important for them to remember that their appeal is simplicity, so it would need to be consistent with that.
Reason for choosing Todoist

Reasons for switching to Todoist
I simply didn't like the complexity of the software. The design was too much, and there were so many features that it became overwhelming very quickly. I was spending more time sorting out my project management than actually being productive.

Using todoist since student’s years
I have been using Todoist for a few years now.it makes my time management easier and more open to possible changes.I also greatly appreciated my last year’s statistics of use, which arrived at the beginning of this year.
PROSAllowance to plan far into the future is surely a great advantage of this software. Just as possibility of prioritization is, with possibilities to diferentiate with colours. A great advantage of this software is tha I can use it all over my devices, my phone, macook, iwatch and ipad. That is also why i decided to try it out, as there are only few time-management softwares available on apple watch. Another great thing is that it allowed me to play freely even without paid subscription. I appreciated this a lot during my studenťs period of life. I use Todoist every day.it is helpful for both my personal and work life.
CONSIts unchangable colorful scheme. The red is somehow agressive, combined with contrastive white. Would surely appreciate to be able to change colours:) Even though it is great to plan some tasks in Todoist, I am unable to track my project development.I would surely appreciate a update Which would allow me to maybe create an individual calendar, in which I would plan on my doing of the project separately from other tasks. It is tiring to be using another software for this, when could there be only one. Another detail which I noticed at the beginning is a little bit unfriendly interface of Todoist. that is why I would not recommend Todoist to my older colleagues.there are many hidden functions, which I keep on discovering, which I would like to had known before, so that they could have been put to good use.
Reasons for switching to Todoist
Google calendar didnt allow me to create such a cohesive and easy-to-go-over-again schedule. Everything was chaotic. In todoist, it isn ´ t as chaotic.

The best task manager I've used; and it keeps getting better
Really good. I liked it at the start. And they continue to add more features.I can email tasks to my app. I can share sections of the app with others.
PROSIt is that rare combination of full-featured and SO easy to use.If you want to add a project, you go to the project list, right click, and choose "Add a Project."A dialogue shows up to let you add a task. You can type in "Turn in report Tues at 3 p.m." and you'll get task added that has a deadline right when you wanted. Or set up a board and track projects through stages. You can also set up sub projects and sub tasks for each task.It will tell you all the tasks due today, tomorrow, overdue, whatever timing you indicate.
CONSYou can't do dependencies. It's not great at telling you how long your project will take. You can schedule tasks way out in the future. But you can't rely on Todoist to add up the time of subtasks to tell you how long the entire task will take.
Reason for choosing Todoist
Todoist is Full featuredEasyReally good on both desktop and phone
Reasons for switching to Todoist
I like Excel for task management a lot. Particularly when I have a few projects with lots and lots of tasks. They're easy to track just as rows in an Excel spreadsheet.Where Excel falls down is a. When you're tracking LOTS of different projects and tasks b. When you want to share tasks and let different people check them off.Todoist is great for that.

Todoist: Where My Professional and Personal Lives Meet
Todoist is reliable, simple and collaborative. It's less glitchy than other options, and has streamlined my life so now I can spend more time knocking out my tasks and less time prioritizing work and personal tasks through multiple different systems.
PROSThe Projects Feature is the absolute best part of Todoist! I was working between a few different programs (Outlook, Google Tasks, Google Notes, Smartsheet and Evernote), and needed one central place to keep notes and to-do lists for my personal and professional life. The collaboration tools allow me and my coworkers to share notes and to-do lists on joint projects, and me and and my husband to share home renovation punch lists and store to-buy lists, all in one central place. My life feels so much more streamlined since making the switch!
CONSSince I've worked with so many different programs, I do miss certain functionalities of other programs: the Gantt-style like Smartsheet offers, the ability to sync with my email as seamlessly as Google and Outlook, and task contingency so that not all "to-dos" are shown at once, but overall I landed on Todoist due to it's simple interface and introducing any of the those features would take away from that. The one thing I would change for new users is that it's simple, but not intuitive to schedule recurring tasks. I had to Google the answer, and while it's easy (simple typing "every Monday" after the task does the trick) it seems like putting an icon would have been a no-brainer.
Reasons for switching to Todoist
I made the switch because Evernote was glitchy, Microsoft was great for business tasks, but not merging both joint and personal, and Google Tasks didn't have the ability to group my tasks by projects and collaborate with other users.
