## Reviews summary

- Overall rating: 4.7/5
- Total reviews: 583

### Secondary ratings

- Ease of use: 4.7/5
- Customer support: 4.6/5
- Value for money: 4.8/5
- Functionality: 4.6/5

### Rating distribution

- 5 stars: 460 reviews (79%)
- 4 stars: 86 reviews (15%)
- 3 stars: 19 reviews (3%)
- 2 stars: 7 reviews (1%)
- 1 star: 11 reviews (2%)

### Most mentioned pros

- You will get what you pay for. If you need a simple inexpensive software to jump on a computer from time to time, then it will work. If you want longevity and be able to act like you are right at your desk, then there is way better options that are not much more money.
- Many other products worked ok when connecting to computers on the same LAN, but only RemotePC provides a reliable connection when I am out of state and connecting to my computers at home.
- After understanding the setup required for "anytime" access, it works as if I were sitting at the remote site without the travel time and expense of onsite work.

### Most mentioned cons

- On some remote computers with dual monitors, I've had occasional display issues. While I can still view both screens individually, the presentation isn't always seamless on dual screens.
- Sometimes there is some lag in the connection to my remote PC even with a stable and fast connection.
- I had the need to support a series of devices, with private IPs that accessed the network through LTE routers with private addressing, so alternatives that use NAT were not suitable for me.

Amazing price. Allows me to work remotely with no issues. Using it is almost identical to sitting at my own desk at the office but allows me to work anywhere anytime.

This remote access tool has significantly simplified my workflow. The reliable, high-quality connection ensures smooth, uninterrupted remote sessions. The ability to access remote machines from any computer is a huge advantage, especially on days when I'm not carrying my laptop. The pricing is competitive, and the seamless upgrade process gives me confidence that the service can scale with my needs

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I've tried a lot of remote access tools, and this one is the simplest. The unattended access is a lifesaver. Our users aren't always the most tech-savvy, so having a one-click connection without needing their help is huge.

#### Cons

On some remote computers with dual monitors, I've had occasional display issues. While I can still view both screens individually, the presentation isn't always seamless on dual screens. However, I suspect factors beyond the remote PC software might be contributing to these problems.

#### Reasons for choosing RemotePC

Liked the simplicity compared to the others.

### Mediocre support and continuous issues

- Overall rating: 2/5

My overall experience using the tool when not running into any issues is alright, if everything was working and going to plan i was able to work as intended. Unfortunately, this is a rare occurrence for me personally. Due to the lack of EU support, we have had to wait days for an issue to get solved, sometimes even to not get an answer back till we contact support back ourselves. Because of this support and the continuous number of issues we have run into we, at the current state of the product, would not recommend it to businesses planning on using it in the EU region. I feel like the product would be a lot more useable if you have the phone support the US region does, this is why i recommend getting an EU line.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 2/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 1/5
- Functionality: 2/5

#### Pros

What i like about the software is the availability is has, you are technically able to do anything you have to be able to do in a remote session to be able to work normally in a remote session like; printing, file transfer and the fact you are able to launch certain apps only through RDP Connector.

#### Cons

What i currently do not like about RemotePC is the lack of support for people in the EU region and the number of issues we have run into. The support for people in the EU region is slim to none, the chat support is great, but they are only 1st line and are not able to perform any actual support actions other than tell you where you can get help, help you with FAQ and check the status on your support tickets. The actual support (via email and phone) is poor. We have only an hour a day where we can get proper support via phone and even then, we usually end up getting forwarded and told to wait a few business days before an issue can be resolved and that we should check our email through the week. This has cost us a lot of time and because of this we have not been able to finish the work for a client for nearly a month now. The email replies are a lot of time very minimal and sometimes we dont even get a response back for days or at all, we ask support again and get told to wait a few more days and give the team some more time. As an IT provider this is unacceptable and can cause for a loss of clients, this also causes for a company to look into other alternatives to this product. Therefore, my biggest suggestion for RemotePC is a support line for Europe or a general 5 day 24 hours a day call line.

#### Reasons for choosing RemotePC

We ended up choosing RemotePC because the trial we did felt good and had all the actions we needed to supply this program to our clients. But because of the number of issues we have been having we are now in doubt of said decision again.

#### Reasons for switching to RemotePC

Mainly the price of the product, splashtop is a lot more expensive than RemotePC.

I have used this software for many years as an end point user. I have recently installed Remote PC for a non-profit to enable me to work from home with all aspects. Accessing other online sites is extremely helpful in using all site that the non-profit uses exclusively. Remote printing is the best!

So far, RemotePC has proven to be the only software that gives me the confidence that I can connect to my PCs at home when I am away. I'm usually afraid to reboot my remote machines for fear I won't get connected again. But this has not been a problem with RemotePC. It's the best software in its class for a fraction of the cost.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5

#### Pros

Many other products worked ok when connecting to computers on the same LAN, but only RemotePC provides a reliable connection when I am out of state and connecting to my computers at home. I have used GoToMyPc in the past and had success also, but the price of GoToMyPc is soooo high. RemotePC is both reliable from anywhere the internet is available and very cost effective.

#### Cons

I have not run into any cons yet. The software is running great.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5

#### Pros

After spending a year with a competitor, I loved that the switch to RemotePC was painless, quick and provided all the same functionality at a fraction of the cost with added Backup Options that are also easy to deploy and use. Something the competitor had but was not very clear on regarding the pricing. RemotePC was very direct and upfront on what you got for what you paid.

#### Cons

I have yet found something I did not like. Maybe not learning of RemotePC a year prior when I first paid for the competitor.

#### Reasons for switching to RemotePC

Pricing, for what seemed like a very simple product was to excessive with TeamViewer. Overall, TV worked well and worked well for me but the price always seemed excessive. Especially considering that with TV i paid for the single user/single pc option and with RemotePC, I was able to get the SoHo 5pc option for a fraction of the cost, even including backup.

A totally satisfied customer who rates this software as essential, reliable and simple.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Pricing is realistically based rather than 'have you over a barrel' prices from other solutions. Definitely a lot of features for the price, easy to install and straightforward to use. This puts many other solutions that cost 3 times the price to shame. Excellent product!

#### Cons

Honestly, it is hard to fault. I run this software on linux, windows and mac systems but one tiny thing I haven't managed to do yet is complete the installation without errors on an old Linux system. I think the system is up to date but I am still struggling. However, I have successfully installed it 1st time on another identical Linux system so I think the problem lies at my end rather than the software. No problems installing on several windows machines and macs though.

#### Reasons for choosing RemotePC

More features, better mobile interface, better desktop interface, better user experience and file transfers.

#### Reasons for switching to RemotePC

Teamviewer is a rip off and there autorenewal system is outrageous. Minimum 28 days notice is required or they bill you for a FULL YEAR! Dodgy tactics from that company and eye-watering prices. Customer service was appalling too.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Remote access, unattended access, and the ability to move files easily have all been game changers for our small agency. It was really easy to deploy across all of our computers and it has made it a breeze to be able to log in, move files, provide real time support, and ensure that our machines are as functional and safe as possible. We had previously been using an alternative that cost more and did not deliver as good of service without some limitations. We've been super happy with the switch and aren't planning to return to our prior program.

#### Cons

Overall, we have been really pleased with the product and haven't found the features that we use to be lacking. However, we are a really small organization with simpler needs and I can see that larger organizations with more complex needs may find the overall product to be a bit simple for their needs.

#### Reasons for switching to RemotePC

We swapped as the overall cost was quite high for our needs and we were constrained by the number of devices that we could log in from which was challenging in a period of high growth for our company.

I have used RemotePC daily for the last week in support of a client. It works exactly as I would have liked it to work. In one case, the keyboard stopped working, but I quickly fixed it by disconnecting and reconnecting. I love the fact that you can use the Attended Access feature without even installing the software on my PC.

#### Ratings breakdown

#### Pros

Great price. Works well. Has two modes: Unattended and Attended Access. (The latter is perfect for remote support professionals.) From a trusted company.

#### Cons

Better documentation or user interface needed. Two examples: First, when an entry-level user wants to enable a second person to access his PC, the software should explain that the PC user must upgrade to a Soho account. This would not only reduce confusion but should also result in more upgrades. Second, the software should do a better job of explaining what the software does in Unattended Mode. RemotePC is basically two programs in one: Unattended Access, for someone who wants to access his own PC, and Attended Access, for someone who wants other to help other people.

I called my IT specialist to recommend a remote service. He said, Remote PC. I used Remote PC through the Pandemic. When I returned back to work onsite I no longer needed it. I let the subscription run out. Circumstances came about that I had to work remotely again. Again I called my IT and he still recommended Remote PC so here I am again.

With my bookkeeper retiring I needed a quick, easy, affordable, temporary way of accessing the computer with our accounting software to keep up with the book work while finding a new employee. So many of the software solutions available are complicated and expensive. RemotePC was perfect for solving my needs!

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I tried out several programs to access my computer remotely but found the set up cumbersome and complicated. I was totally impressed with the ease of setting up and using the RemotePC software. I was up and running in minutes!

#### Cons

I admit I have not used RemotePC for very long but so far I do not have anything I do not like about it!
