Easy Implement, Easy to Use, The Essential Data We Need

Prior to implementation of Simfoni, we had general information by supplier spend, but didn't tie out with any business unit, stakeholder, commodity, etc. Simfoni's implementation resource worked closely with my finance team to help extract the required data from our systems. Ideas were shared when there were road blocks and there was always a partnership to what can we do, versus what a system only allowed - which has been my experience in the past with other larger software solution providers.

PROS

Easy to configure. I am able to easily pull both macro and micro detail in relation to the information that we provide on a monthly basis to our spend. We include GL, Cost Centers, and Line of Business filtering to allow me to have a data based discussion with my stakeholders.

CONS

I have not encountered any issues thus far that I dislike about Simfoni's Spend Analytics Tool.

You CAN teach an old dog new tricks!

My experience with Simfoni products and their staff overall has been excellent. We were looking for a system that could act as an onboarding process for incoming requests before they were entered into our ERP system. We are expanding our range of KPI and how we can further improve our processes. This system is user friendly, is filled with help instructions and new enhancements being implemented. I feel that I more than got our money's worth with the modules that we have started with and I look forward to continuing to grow with this company. They really listen and deliver what is needed.

PROS

Firstly, the initial salesperson impressed me over other companies with her friendly, authentic, non-salesy conversation. She got my attention which led to questions, demos, and eventually the right fit for my team that I didn't think existed. By implementing the Workflow and eSourcing modules into our very niche procurement process, we were able to improve the transparency, efficiency, and reporting capability by tenfold. My department was able to capture all incoming needs from global requestors, upload items, source vendors, compare best bids, report and communicate the findings all within the same system. I am relieved to have found a program that will allow my team to move away from antiquated procedures which were a high risk for errors and revolved around a high volume of emails, PDFs, spreadsheets and good old fashioned pen and paper. There is room to grow with the Simfoni products too. When we are ready...we can connect our Simfoni modules to our ERP system and also manage our spend better! We would not be where we are today if it weren't for the knowledgeable and patient Success Manager who helped us every step of the way.

CONS

Given our specific business needs at the time, Simfoni had a little too many 'bells & whistles' which felt overwhelming at first. We were accustomed to a much more simple design and it took us a while to adjust our mindset to see where this platform could take us.

Reason for choosing Simfoni

Simple, user-friendly design. It was made for procurement by procurement people. It was an agnostic system that we could build as needed with modules. The sales, training, and management teams were reputable and trustworthy. They were a small company that continued to show growth over a long period of time.

Simfoni feedback

It is a good tool. But stakeholder engagement is vital to ensure that detailed analysis across all categories and functions is possible

PROS

The Software is easy to use. As an general information resource it works fine. But when you need to get to what the details are of actually managing spend and analysing data, there has been no consideration building in the stakeholder requirements to capture critical data.

What I like about Simfoni

[sensitive content hidden] is a wonderful teacher! He walked me thru all the screens with ease. He offered any extra help if I could not find something I was looking for.My experience with Simfoni has been a good one. Thanks [sensitive content hidden]!!

PROS

Easy to use. Not a lot of steps to get the end result - excel spreadsheet. Suppliers can easily navigate thru the screens to find any documents and to input their information.Exporting is very easy. Communicating with others (Suppliers) is very easy - and important to keep track.Add/Delete is very simple. I am very impressed with the new U/I.

CONS

So far, I can't tell if I have any concerns at the moment.

Efficient & Resourceful...

PROS

Firstly, [sensitive content hidden] has been a huge help - wholly reassuring, very clear and has provided consistent support throughout the implementation process. He has been hand-holding whilst empowering me to jump right into using the system. Secondly, the analytics tool is just beyond exciting! Being able to have the dashboards already set up using our historical data and drilling down into information has fuelled curiosity to explore new projects, identify new efficiency or cost saving opportunities and has helped save hours of time every month.

CONS

I think being left to explore it can sometimes feel a little scary because there's so much the system can do.... but a lot like learning to drive a car - doing the projects in real time with the Simfoni teams' live support has been instrumental to being able to use the system independently quickly. Instead of bombarding me with everything the system can do on day one, [sensitive content hidden] was particularly good at scouting what I needed to do with a particular project, working through it together, and then advising how to use the additional features as and when they became required. It is a slightly pricier system than the others we reviewed, however given the functionality and the support, I'd justify making the same decision.
