Umbraco is an easy to use system which I use daily in my role to build website pages, sharing information with members.

Umbraco is mature and has wide community support.

Basic stuff that should come out of the box like rel canonical tags etc. have to be custom coded - at least for the sites I have encountered. The search functionality within the CMS is horrible.

The flexibility to create  a range of different webpage layouts, without the need to do any coding is great, and the preview function is particularly useful.

Steep learning curve, especially for people unfamiliar with CMS software. There is no official support and no drag-and-drop functionality.

Built our new site using Umbraco and it was easy.

For the most part it was very straight forward to building our new public website using widgets and how it is structured. It is a much better CMS than our previous site.

The labelling is clear and there are a wide variety of content blocks available to add. I find that Umbraco helps to create content which can be accessed by everyone.

Umbraco is a full featured CMS with many useful features. As knowledge  grows with use of the product so too will utilization.

The pages can be updated fairly quickly and the WYSIWYG page editor is straightforward. What I liked the most was how quickly a page can be saved and published.

We are using Umbraco to roll our a new digital banking platform. We are still in development, and it has proven to be stable.

Sometimes experience errors and deployment failures when too many users are in at the same time. Syncing issues from prep to prod cause problems.

This helps to ensure that the right information reaches the right group of volunteers.

Even then it was a hit or a miss which was not ideal. And even with a CDN in use, it was hard to get good PageSpeed scores with Umbraco.

The documentation  and user forums are quite helpful. When building a site, it's preview function is useful to visualize how your site will look on different devices, quickly.

Therefore links become broken and you have to re-link post courier and then courier again.

It is hands down, our development teams preference for coding in. And any time we've needed help, our CTO has had great support from the company.

Also, it has a professional community and support team.

It's much easier to use than a CMS I had used previously.

Can be slow at times and often won't work well if multiple users are performing similar tasks at the same time.

We use Umbraco to manage our websites, it's a great CMS that makes managing a large and popular website slightly easier.

Easy to use, often self-explanatory. Always finding more and more helpful features.

But I guess this is in each and everyone developer's hand. So maybe a guideline on what not to do to avoid performance losses.

The only problem I have is when updating the version and the pages tend to have problems of accommodation.

It does create good websites, with pretty much good features and integration among objects, which facilitates structuring and maintaining.

It is very easy to use and it has a lot of features. Everyone can build amazing website with beautiful templates.

It's a very helpful software/website in helping you learn and create your very own website for an affordable price.

Also when there is an error it is very difficult to figure out how to solve it because there is no support (obvious for open source but still a problem).

Wordpress is really great for people who do not code but want to have a website. It has lot of additional integrations available which help you build websites which are scalable.

The customer service is the worst. Whenever I email them with a problem, they sometimes don’t fix it for weeks and I have to keep reminding them.

My overall experience with Wordpress is Fantastic. It is one of the best software I have come across.

Currently my website had all the plug-ins crash, and they all disappeared, so keep in mind that WP is notorious for needing to troubleshoot your website once in a while.

On the beginning I have a problem with some message about a having an error whic I did not find.

Easy to install and use, with a huge community developing and improving features. It's a great tool for almost everything, from a simple Landing Page to a huge E-Commerce.

I love that I was able to accomplish what I wanted, on my own by using help features and just by clicking around and trying different things.

I enjoy Wordpress for the flexibility to setup my personal website. They several templates to choose from and each have unique abilities with them to make your webpage fantastic.

It was excellent, down to the whole designing process and the company itself. The customer support is also fantastic.

Some plugins are very bad, and also very bad translated, or make some other plugins crash so you must be very carefull with what do you install.

WordPress is really one of the best things to ever exist. The ability to create websites that look so sleek and beautiful, modern and attractive, is incredible.

I learned a lot and saved tons of time using it. I'd highly recommend it for most of the people as it has a very pleasant UI and it's easy to use even for not tech people - your client.

It is the best and biggest platform for creating content I have ever known. Wordpress allows you to have very high quality websites, for a super symbolic price.

The templates are amazing and just like all of wordpress very user friendly you dont have to know how to code to use wordpress.

But don't let the price put you off, you're getting the best blogging software on the market, in my opinion. Plenty of extensions and themes, great community support and very nice admin interface.

Being non profit, It is imperative that I keep costs as low as possible while ensuring the quality is as good as can bee.

My Experience with WordPress is awesome and I highly recommend for those learners who want to develop their own sites.

The dashboard and preview ability is nice. The theme changes are pretty simple to navigate as you see what works best.

Wordpress has an impressive amount of integrations with other products. For example, we use the Yoast SEO plugin, which is awesome.
