Setup has been very difficult, and we received a lot of bad direction throughout the process.

The system can flow easily together, and some of the personnel go out of their way to help. I like the Roundtable Seminars.

So, you need to be flexible, and you need to have other means of catching the mistakes.

The system is built on a solid foundation of homebuilding best practices, refined over many years.

All newly acquired software requires a learning curve. The support staff at Mark Systems are always pleasant, available and knowledgeable.

Easily the best feature of this software is that there is one integrated database for all features of this software.

Mark Systems is very well thought out and constantly improving. The program is robust, so you cannot learn it overnight but it is intuitive and easy to learn.

The company has a great technical support staff who is great to work with.

The product is nice - longer learning curve was needed when it comes to making roof lines and 3d walkthroughs.

What I like most about MarkSystems is the fact that I only have 1 software that I am using for scheduling, budgets, Purchase Orders and Invoicing.

Let IHMS know what you want the system to do for you. It is very helpful when trying to get the information you need or when trying to use it to effectively run your piece of the business.

I like the ease of price updates with exporting to Excel and the ability to import back in.

It had been around long enough to have a good track record and most importantly, it was designed as an enterprise system for home building.

It is completely comprehensive and covers everything from estimating to scheduling.

The web portals saved us a lot of time and money and allowed our company to be more productive. The company overall is very supportive of our software upgrade requests and is very customer focused.

The inability to easily process changes (the idea of stage-releasing as the only way to catch late-addition selections).

We now spend much more time in planning and preparation than in correcting errors in the field.

And I don't like the idea of releasing a house without being able to review/adjust everything beforehand.

We have employed estimators that have used other competitors products, such as HCSS in the past. Once they use Sharpesoft, they are amazed with how easy it is to use and how powerful the software is.

We have yet to come upon a feature or service that we feel the need to complain about.

So far no real cons on this program however I am only 4-6 months in using the program.

Ease of use and training required are bigger cost factors than the software cost.

We have acquired over $500 Million dollars worth of work using Sharpesoft Estimator.

The scope of work report and formatting is not the easiest to use.

The ability to build crews and assemblies for recurring items of work.

The personal and live demo that SharpeSoft offered was very helpful for us. Their training was and continues to be top-notch.

There's no program for diary/timecard tracking against estimated/budgeted costs.

Analysing changes and alternatives is quick and accurate. Easy to archive estimates for quick crew and cost retrieval.

I have only been using Sharpsoft for less than a year, however it seems user friendly and the customer service is great as well.

What I particularly enjoy is the trench profile program within the estimating software.

Allows you to do estimates quickly and efficiently. Easy to print out reports.

The developers of the software understand our business and have consistently responded swiftly with meaningful updates.

A great tool for estimating and project management.

The time and heartache that I have witnessed trying programs that I was promised worked together has lost my company and other's, employee time and lost revenue.

We were doing all of our estimates by hand originally and this has saved us so much time in all of our bids and we are now able to get out a lot more and stop missing out on bids due.

The ease of building your specific crews and material lists and always having them at the ease of one click is extremely productive.

Ease of use and outstanding support. I believe this software is tailor made for the dirt / heavy civil industry.

I find Estimator easy to use. The support is top notch, I never have to wait for help.

It is a user friendly software and provides everything you would need whether it be the basic or a more complex estimate.

I use Sharpsoft after the estimators have set up the job and prepare the bid to be sent off. I mostly use this for tracking the cost of the job and mark up percentages as well.
