H2X made my life easier, it's easy to use once you get the hang of it! It made me excited to get on with my drawings as soon as clock in. They also have the Best Customer Service! I 'm guilty for asking a lot of questions, and [sensitive content hidden] responds to me very quickly with answers to help me with the projects I'm working on.

I know it's straightforward enough, but maybe it would be handy to have a handbook or a cheat sheet.

H2X is a fantastic software. I foundH2X very intuitive. It feels like a 21st century software and has an app like appeal, It is very easy and quick to use and takes a lot less time to teach new engineers how to use the software. I have used H2X on several projects . Generally I have used it for sizing domestic water systems and the associated plant items, the speed and simplicity in using the software defiantly makes my life a bit easier. It's a very comprehensive design software which I would recommend anyone to try.

Personally I found H2X very intuitive. A computer literature engineer could pick up the software in a day with no training. I like the flexibility in design, for example you can change the piping material or velocities across the whole project in a few clicks, alternatively you can manual change individual sections. Being cloud based and not being tied down to a specific desktop is very useful. The ability to output to Revit is a fantastic time saver.

The way it outputs the notes in the results page is limiting. Ideally you would be able to drag and drops the notes so it's cleaner, as in a busy drawing it can be difficult to read. Sometimes the error warnings may not be pertinent to the project for some reason, but there is not an option to hide or turn these off. However, if you submit the calcs to the client and their is a big yellow safety warning, it makes them nervous. I think it should be possible to turn on/off the warnings.

This software provides different calculation methods and can provide all the calculation result that may be rrequired.

Sometimes it's a little bit hard to change things. For example, if i want to increase the pipe size to minimise the friction loss, i will need to select all the pipe one by one ( they are separated by the fittings).

As a heating installer we use H2X for all of our pipework design and now heat loss calculations aswell from PDF. It save us so much time, not sure how we survived before...!

Its well thought out for installers who don't use CAD but still need to be able to design systems, which is all installers. its alot of drag and drop and not alot of remembering which key does what so its easy to come back to if you haven't used it for a while

as a future ad on, it would be great to have radiator size choices generated from the room output required would maybe require manual input from a manufacturer data sheet though??

H2X has proved to be a useful and powerful tool to add to our office. The basic operation of the program is easy to adopt and the learning curve is reasonably linear. Like every program, there are tricks a tips to increase productivity and ease of use. The friendly and helpful staff are more than willing to help you adapt and progress with your operation of H2X.

H2X is an easy program to learn and use. The user interface is designed with an intrinsically logical progression of functions and operations. The calculations can be performed at any point during the design development to capture design errors and the effects of alterations immediately. The ability to select and fix pipe, fitting and fixture details and selections is very useful for design proofing and fault finding in new and existing service designs. Uploading and manipulating .pdf background documents is also easy and hassle free. New levels and relevant information are easy to add into the project. Scaling of .pdf background documents is easily done with a high degree of accuracy. Bearing in mind that a .pdf document is an image file with little intrinsic data relating to line accuracy or drafting limitations, H2X willingly creates usable design models with limited fuss. H2X is capable of calculating pressure systems to many different national and international design standards. The selection of design standard can be changed and recalculated at any point within the design process, the projects can be copied and saves as parallel models thereby allowing for side-by-side comparison calculations as required.

There are no warnings within the planning tab advising of the potential to move .pdf backgrounds within the H2X model, nor is there an option (that we found) to lock the .pdf back grounds into place. While we understand that H2X is a stand alone calculation program with output drawing frames to showcase H2X, it would be useful to have more flexibility with regard to drawing output framing and title blocks. The output drawings are centered about the H2X model as a standard and do not allow for nonstandard drawings or plot layouts that have additional information that displaces the model information. We understand that this is a web based program that enables H2X to be centrally controlled and located, however this is also an issue for those users with unstable / unreliable internet connectivity. H2X does not offer (within the trial version) an option for local installation, work and save on and of models.

Incredible...... is all I can say. I have implemented a lot of software, some good, a few bad... but this one so far has been a breeze. You ask a question and within minutes (regardless of the time zone) it gets answered. These guys are on POINT. Well done boys

I had been searching for a product/software of this nature for many years. I stumbled across H2X from a consultants design when I seen a tiny reference to H2X website..... Low and behold I found the holly grail of plumbing design by clicking on this link.... I started a trail version, got a wee demonstration from [SENSITIVE CONTENT] who was more than happy to help with any questions I had, in an extremely timely manner. This software is intuitive, super easy to use and has many great features to help any old humble plumber with a simple or even more complex design without the need to engage a mechanical consultant .

I can't find many yet.... Been able to undertake Stormwater Calculation with rainfall intensity would be amazing.... I hear this might be in the pipeline. Exporting designs in PDF's to show all pipe sizes would be ideal as well.... No all sizes and pipe products can be shown on the one document

H2X is very easy to use and is very simple to make adjustments to once the system is designed. Calculations are quick to complete and make adjustments to throughout the duration of the project. The amount of time H2X has saved us in invaluable.

H2X takes a small amount of time to get to grips with and understand the way information needs to be inputted. However once that is understood it is very easy to use. It also sometimes has a tendency to lag which can be frustrating at times.

H2X has dramatically cut down our design and calculation times and allows us to easily trial different system configurations to help select the most appropriate. It has allows improved our QA and record keeping process.

H2X is very simple to use but generates incredibly accurate and detailed results and selections.

Integration with other drafting software would be a valuable improvement as this would eliminate "double handling".

I personally need to use it more but i think this will be the main hydraulic tool of the industry in the future it is great that i can get a grad/intern to use it and get going relatively quickly, then i can come in and tweak to get the final answers, i don't have to go through the ins and outs of calculations.

bugs, we have had issues on a number of times, ie rendering errors. This has impacted on deliverables and meant we had to revert back to the manual process

H2X is a great software, our company use it nearly every day. The ease of completing a design and passing on to a draftsperson is critical for us to keep advancing with ever growing workloads. Jonny is also extremely helpful and more than happy to help at any time.

Can be a bit 'clunky' at times, Unknown errors pop up from time to time. No confirmation of errors in design mode.

I had the pleasure of a free trial for the software after seeing it advertised on LinkedIn and having a positive discussion and interactive training with both [SENSITIVE CONTENT]. I have used the software on two projects, a residential project and a care home, it has been a pleasure to use and I will defiantly not be changing back to previous pieces of software I have used.

The complete software package was a breath of fresh air compared to alternative hydraulic calculation software's on the market. The usability of the system was effortless compared to it's competitors in the UK. It is a free flowing piece of software which allows the user (on the basis the user have a good knowledge of Public Health Engineering) to design, distribute and calculate domestic water services simply with a few clicks of a button.

The only piece of the software which confused me slightly was the hot and cold water defaults on the appliances, however I believe this is a regional thing. Once I was aware that I need to allow a hot connection to the outlet (rather than warm), the issue was easily resolved and caused no delays.

This software is super user friendly and easy to learn. The visual aspect of it makes learning and understanding plumbing far more interesting. This software allows you to save so much time and enables you to see your design flaws almost instantaneously. The response time for any inquires I've had was astounding regardless of the time difference, and the effort put into explaining and answering all my questions was truly amazing! Job well done :)!

I don't have any negative comments as i know the team is constantly do their best to improve their software. although if it would be possible to do stormwater calculations, that would be awesome but like I said before I'm sure this too is in the works and I can't wait to test it and any other new features that may come along.

Very, very useful tool that is likely to make a real impact in the industry. The dev team are extremely helpful, proactive and knowledgeable - able to provide general hydraulic design advice as well as that pertaining to the software itself. Can see this type of software eventually making its way into the Autodesk suite and becoming as ingrained in the industry as CAD or Revit

The versatility of providing instant calculations using a variety of methods. This allows us to instantly compute different pipe sizing methodologies and showcase the subsequent cost and time savings that can be achieved by using alternative standards. This can streamline workflows in the order of days depending on the size of the project and has the potential to be a big driver in a revolution in material and engergy usage in plumbing installations in Australia

The markup/drawing UX is still in development, however this is being continually improved. Minor discrepancies in usability between H2x and more typical modelling/drawing software (AutoCAD/Revit) can hinder markups of larger projects. Just needs some more in-built toold to really bring upo the fluidity of drawing and modelling

It is easy to use and is very helpful to redesign when the building layout changes. It also takes out the human error when we do the calculations manually.

It could be great if the features such as roof water design can be included.

H2X has helped us streamline some areas of our workflow by consistently allowing us to size and analyse our designs at markup stage accross a broad range of projects. Currently it is being used in residential and commercial projects.

Being able to size and anayise pipework sizes and test pressures and pump duties required in real time has been very efficient and has also increased confidence in the design.

Setting up the drawings and levels is a little tedius at times, and the height and base of risers would be easier to understand if they were in reference to the levels of the project rather than the over all level. for example, base: 2.3m above floor of basement and top: 2.9m above floor of level 6.

So far we are very happy, it gives us more confidence with design as well as the ability to review other options easily without having to go into detailed calculations. Im looking forward to developing our skills with the program and using it to its full capacity.

Integration was very easy. The support is amazing and most importantly ongoing! we are finding it a great way of cross checking and undertaking detailed QA on critical areas of a design. We have definitely only scratched the surface on what this product can do and its only getting better with more and more features.

Only issues we are having is working out input of data and meanings of the warnings, however we never undertook any real training and most of the issues Jordan answers within hours (most of these are our input errors anyway). To be honest we cant really fault it.

H2X was easily integrated into our business to fast-trak engineering processes we do within our field of hydraulics. The system is simple and easy to understand, and provides an array of information. Integration with revit software will also reduce drafting lead times, and a bonus as its sized prior to input.

A few bugs throughout the year with some downtime, however the customer service team was ready to help out.
