Ben and coworkers

I recently used my L&D allowance to acquire a few courses and it was easier to use than I expected.

PROS

I really enjoy the option to have all corporate benefits on the same platform, as well as the other options available on Ben.

CONS

It's more my own limitation than Ben's. I'm still learning how to use some of the features, understanding if they are applicable for people living in Portugal (which is my case), and to what extent I can use some of the features as a Scede employee.

Global benefits program

PROS

Easy to scale product, works great for companies in multiple locations. Ease of administration and gives you complete control.

CONS

Area of development rather - can scale into a great recognition tool with manager to employee and peer 2 peer recognition aspects.

Confusing system with poorly articulated benefits

PROS

The portal is relatively easy to navigate around, but had conflicting benefits £ info on the summary dashboard vs what is within the dedicated page about each benefit, making it really difficult to keep track of what you're spending on your benefits.

CONS

The service our business received has been really quite poor. They were late to deliver the portal, meaning our launch was delayed by a few weeks. They then miscommunicated various things about some of the benefits, particularly the Thanks Ben Flex Wallet. It was made out that by having a flex fund on your Thanks Ben card, you would get tax relief on the money that you spend via that card, upto a fixed amount each month. However, it later transpired that there is no tax relief, so there is no benefit whatsoever to using the flex wallet vs just having that money go into your salary and spending the money as normal. It's literally a completely pointless product!

Where has this been all my career?

Overall Ben and the people we've worked with have been amazing, helpful and quick to respond.

PROS

This enables us to be super flexible with our benefits, it's easy to get set up and they are always improving their platform.

CONS

We are a globally distributed team and Ben continues to work to address our use case. They are really good about taking feedback and putting it on their roadmap, it can just be normal growing pains.

Reason for choosing Ben

Ben was the only one in this field that was set up to support a globally distributed team. Their pricing is fair and their support team is quick to respond.

Great tool to manage benefits for a global remote team

Really great platform to administer benefits for a global remote team. Allows each employee to use their allowance however they want!

PROS

ThanksBen is pretty easy to use and straightforward, the UX is really intuitive.The way employees are using the benefit is super flexible especially now that we can even upload the credit card on Google Pay/Apple Pay, it gives a real flexibility to use your benefits however you want.

CONS

Thanksben is a great platform, I do not have any negative points to share.

Fantastic product

As an employee I really love ThanksBen - everything is in one place and the customer service are really helpful too!

CONS

Some things aren't always the easiest to find but the customer support is second to none so that really isn't an issue

Great platform for employee benefit

- Great tool to manage benefits, acting as one stop shop for all things related benefits - Easy to use, great design and good variety feature - Lots of benefit providers - Ben card is good, can be added to Apple Pay/Google wallet and make it really easy to use allowance for personal purchaces

Why you should use Ben

I found out many good things through Ben. I started using Treatwell which I did not know about before since I only thought that Ben could be used for online payments. Was refunded the correct amount when I expensed a receipt. Was kept update re the refund date which was good.

PROS

Easy to use, nice design (personalised by my company). Good way to encourage yourself to spend more money treating yourself.

CONS

Did not like that I could not receive a physical card. Only recently found out I can add Ben to my wallet. Maybe this feature could be pushed more? Heard about it through a colleague, as before I was uploading receipts to the site which is less efficient.

Great employee reward platform

Easy to navigate as a user and administrator, easy to upload receipts via my mobile and super convenient to pay via Google Pay

Great platform for monthly incentives!

Overall, great. We've had a month or two where cards where slow to process but it seems to be resolved within a day.

PROS

Ben is great for issuing a monthly allowance for whatever you want to encourage employees to do be it activities to help to their wellbeing or L&D. It is a great way to be flexible about what people spend allowances on rather than to restrict it to a set list.

CONS

The only con I think it in using just one feature set and not the whole suite, it looks like there are lots of thing you could run through the Ben platform.

What a convenient tool for employees

PROS

As a new employee with a company that uses Ben, I've been delighted by it. When we have team meals or other perks, instead of having to submit a separate expense, it's like we all have a company card. You can spend on it and ditch spending time expensing a receipt. It's also convenient for tracking roll over benefits and has an easy to use dashboard. Auto reminders about expiring benefits are clutch so you don't forget about use it or lose it money.

CONS

Using the card numbers in a different country than the billing address has occasionally been tricky, especially when a zip code is required to complete purchase. That said, having the flexibility to purchase yourself and submit a request for reimbursement makes this a minor inconvenience.

Ben Card - Monthly Benefit

PROS

User interface is easy to use, customer support responds rapidly.

CONS

The billing address cannot be changed for the card, therefore I cannot set it up so I can make purchases for everything.

no 3D secure codes for Turkey

PROS

I like how they provide individual cards for different bonuses and how it locks cards with one toggle. Also the customer support is really active.

CONS

It doesn't send a 3D secure code for purchases made in Turkey where I currently live, and that's why I can't really purchase anything that uses a 3D secure with my Ben card.

Simple and Brilliant

PROS

It's so easy to use - I love all the retail discounts available to me and the simplicity of the site.

CONS

Would love an app version to be able to check my balance on the go. It would also be awesome to be able to have the ben card in my apple wallet.

Overall good

Good, it could be great considering some improvements mentioned above.

PROS

The convenience of having a card and being able to spend the funds my company disburses

CONS

EXCHANGE RATE! Either you publish your own or strictly follow and explain how MasterCard's work. It's annoying having to try several times with each purchase in foreign exchange
