Very powerful, supporting a highly growing team easily, easy to use, no learning curve for employees, very nice mobile apps.

PROS

Impressive free package, can support growing teams of all sizes, simple and easy to use, nice mobile apps!

CONS

As for our current use case which is tracking day-offs and work from home, none!

Value for money vacation system

So much cheaper than the competition, use from anywhere and works

PROS

Can use from anywhere easy tracking with calendar add on to sync

CONS

The notifications for vacations are 23:00 in UK, I would rather have no notifications Could have better toil tracking - earn toil use toil

Often errors

PROS

We were excited to use the app for our employees to request & coordinate time off without a staff member needing to constantly monitor their free days

CONS

The app often has errors and complications that we end up having to spent time on/calling customer service

Have been using sucessfully for years

Overall I would suggest trying Day-Off. It replaced a custom developed program we had been using for years. Our organization is small, so it is easy to manage. I am unsure how it works for larger teams.

PROS

We started with the free version. While limited in features, we were able to use it the way it was and accomplish the task at hand. After a couple years we decided to upgrade and take advantage of the features that ultimately make our PTO tracking more efficient. Pros: Easy to use! For both employees and the administrator

CONS

Cons: Really just features that were unavailable in the free version, like taking time in hourly increments and multi level approvals.

Pros and Cons based on your needs

PROS

It is a great visual dashboard if you need a quick overview of who is off and when, it is easy for employees to input their own time so there is less management oversight required

CONS

When requesting leave the week starts on Monday instead of Sunday so employees are often requesting the wrong day due to the calendar being incorrectly formatted, it also does not have any kind of app for phone access without having to log into your browser

Day-off is very helpful

In general, it is very helpful for us, to have all the relative to time off organized and controlled

PROS

All collaborators can create their requests, it's important to have the option of two steps of verification and see all the requests by month in the calendar

CONS

Sometimes the calendar has issues showing the correct days for the month selected, the reports are too basic, and we don't have enough options to personalize the report.

Day Off- Value for the Price

PROS

Price is great and it's a user friendly platform. The calendar feature is great to see when everyone off, and it's easy to add holidays to the calendar.

CONS

Overall, Day Off was easy to implement among our staff and serves it's purpose. I wish employees could request hours off (instead of half days or full days) and that I could set up an unlimited PTO policy.

Great product for small business!

Overall, this has been a great solution for my small business.

PROS

My team love being able to request time off using the mobile app and to be able to see available PTO in real time. My managers like being able to see all employees' scheduled time off on a single calendar. Price is very reasonable for small business.

CONS

We occasionally get logged out of the mobile app and have difficulty logging back in. I also wish there were more support tools since there is no live support offered.

Great system to track time off

Having a way to track everything has been SO helpful for our office

PROS

Day-off is incredibly user friendly and has been the only way our agency has been able to keep up with employee time off/sick leave

CONS

Only thing I wish Day-off offered was a request to increase catergories by the employee. For example, we have unlimited sick days but I usually only have the bank at 10 until those have been met. Would be nice if the employee could request an increase

Best PTO Tracking Software

Its been good. They have expanded the product to make it more usable for our teams with different holidays and custom time off such as birthday time off.

PROS

We love the ability to easily add and manage employees time off. We have multiple teams world wide and this allows for multiple holidays for different teams.

CONS

It still needs more integrations with other products such as O365 so it can add employees to the company calendar instead of having multiple things to look at.

better employee optimization planning

I can better plan the staff slack scale, and plan better in relation to scheduling vacations. and I don’t get lost when an employee is on sick leave, the app shows me when he will have to go back to work

PROS

it is possible to schedule the days off of the employees to be able to schedule the stopover, the application is simple and easy to use. you can register sick leave and schedule a vacation too

Day Off is one of the best Programs to use

PROS

I loved how easy it is to set up and to use throughout the year. The request comes to me via email and I easily go online to check if anyone else has the day and then accept or deny the request within a 60 seconds.

CONS

When they add the capabilities of going to Microsoft Outlook calendar that would be a big help.

PROS

Love the look and ease of use, the customer support with issues was good.

VERY hard to say up and so many confusing different things like jobs, leave types, leave policies, teams, etc. It is too much and very hard to use.

Good, straight-forward, works

PROS

Day-off is easy to deploy and use. It's fairly basic, but that's what I was looking for. Simple is often the better choice.

CONS

There are issues when requests cross months. Our employees have to submit 2 requests if dates fall across the month change.

Fairly easy to set things up and easy to use (even for people who are not very computer savvy).

CONS

Day-off cannot prorate vacation days. For example, if a new employee joined mid month, I will have to manually calculate vacation days earned. I wish Day-Off can add this feature.

So Handy

PROS

I'm still on the free trial, but I am loving the calendar view that combines holidays and requests off. It makes it easy to see at a glance when vacations. I also love the reporting/approval process. Easy and straightforward! Finally, I am using the leave categories extensively. Really helpful for what I need to track.

CONS

There are some paid features that I'd love to have, but I'm not sure I will be able to pay for it. I'm testing it out right now, and even though it's a very affordable $1 per user, I can't just buy any SaaS that I like. I can't remember the paid features I was checking out--sorry!

Keep track of your team's time off with this easy solution!

The app has been really useful for our team! Before Day-off, we had to email an admin, then put our PTO on a shared calendar. Now, our PTO request, approval, and tracking is much easier & better.

PROS

Day-off is an incredibly easy to use software that keeps everyone in-the-loop about when their teammates will be out of the office. It has a great user interface, so we have very few questions when employees want to submit time off. Also, the free offering is very robust!

CONS

The 1 admin limitation is not ideal. We have a couple different people who manage PTO requests, so this is a bit of a pain. It would also be great if they added functionality to support multi approvals.

Saved me so much time!

It's been amazing and saved me so much time as a manager.

Time saving and accountability. Employees are able to do everything on their own and I don't have to track via a spreadsheet anymore.
