PCRecruiter is a web-based tracking and recruiting solution for Human Resources departments across the globe. PCRecruiter houses a complete solution for contact management and applicant flow in a central hub, allowing access to everything from requisition submittal, on-line job inquiries and hire logging to customizable candidate assessments and surveys.

Inhaler, Linkedin Chrome feed, easy to status candidates through the process, you can set up different position question profiles tied to each postion for candidates to complete when submitting their resume. There are automation rules for candidates that can be set up to decline low skilled or highlight highly qualified candidates. Nice time savings features!

Cons

Many steps require multiple page loads to move forward. Their software team should consider to have all the decision items on one page through drop down lists for selection to allow to move forward, rather than separate page feeds.

Overall the Pros outweigh the cons and for a small business like ours, PC Recruiter meets our needs allowing us to spend more time doing the work we should be doing.

Pros

It has all of the features that we are looking for in an applicant tracking/CRM system. The customer service rep that was assigned to do our training was excellent. She spent all the time we need and followed up quickly on open items. The cost is also very affordable.

Cons

Navigation is a bit tricky and sometimes not as intuitive as we would like. There are some short cuts that appear to be missing. We do much of our work from roll-ups but it does not appear that everything can be done from the roll-ups which requires us going out to a function we want. The scheduling of follow-ups is not up to standard and does not interface with Outlook well.

Very responsive and able to get us started in a short amount of time. The software is very user friendly and easy to understand.

Cons

We had expressed interest in having an automatic posting to external sources like we had with our previous ATS. We were told they partnered with LogicMelon for that and it was supposed to be affordable. After getting a demo, we found out it was double the cost of the ATS, so it is unfortunately not an option for us. That means manual posting to multiple sites which is very time consuming.

The product isn't overly expensive and has everything you need with regards to tracking, reporting and connectivity. But you need to know the "ins" and "outs" to navigate effectively and efficiently. In today's world, most ATS's can be used with little or no training. Not the case here. We are opting to change directions after about 6 months of fumbling around with PCR.

My organization is an RPO company in which we engage multiple clients. In most of these engagements, we bring an ATS solution. We use PC Recruiter as our primary system. We have worked with the team from PC Recruiter for almost a year now and have had great success with their ATS. Overall we are very satisfied with the functionality and features of the system.

Pros

The greatest "Pro" that I can point to is the team at PC Recruiter. They have been extremely responsive to our needs and have been there every step of the way as we configure and deliver their system. They have also been very willing to receive feedback and develop upgrades that have been "game changers" for the way we work. The Customer Service team is fantastic. Very knowledgeable and timely in their responses.

Cons

Some of the system terminology and field names are confusing. The system is not overly intuitive. There is a bit of a learning curve if you want to leverage all of the bells and whistles that PCR has, but the Customer Service team is very helpful in helping you in your education.

The system seems to be able to do many things, but putting everything just does not work.
It's like "Yeh, let's put everything that we can come up with, so it's very helpful when you need it!" well, in fact, it just makes everything messed up and too complicated.

My experience with PC Recruiter has been positive. When I was looking at ATS', I had a list of must have features. PC Recruiter was one of the few, that could deliver and at a better price than most.

Pros

I like that we can produce templates for our interviews, with the questions we want to ask. The recruiter can pull up the template, ask the questions, not the answers, makes notes and save the document to the candidate's profile.

Cons

Mobile app allows the user to view contact, company, or position details, but adding details like conversations, notes or schedules is not possible. It would be great to be able to have full usability on the app.

As a user of their recruiting software, the transition to their ATS was simple. There are a lot of features so for new users it can seem overwhelming. However, asking a lot of questions on the front end and setting up the system to mirror your recruit flow and taking advantage of the automated systems will greatly enhance your experience. Great technical support and quick response at all levels.

Pros

Lots of features, as a user the dashboard information is incredibly helpful, the system layout can be customized to accommodate your personal workflow.

Cons

It's a complex system so for new users it will seem a little overwhelming. Manager portal is very weak from a UI perspective.

Advice to Others

If you're looking for a system that will help you not only manage applicants but also act as a database for candidates for future use this is a great system. Be sure you have a defined applicant work flow process and ask questions on how the system can accommodate your needs.

My experience with PCR is not the best. It takes a lot of time to upload all the information about each and every candidate to this system. Everything has to be put manually, if the layout of the resume is not standard the system does not recognize the right information and then all that wrong info has to be changed manually again.
When I look for some candidate who I know for sure is in the system PCR tells me sometimes that this person is not found.
Also what is not convenient is that it doesn't collect resumes from the job boards. The layout is a bit complicated, you have to open every window separately, so when you open the candidate's page you can't see the whole info right away, you have to open notes and then if he had an interview you have to go to those notes to find out the feedback. This system does not save your time, but takes a lot of time to use, for no reason.

Pros

The only think I like about PCR is that it can capture profile from LinkedIn.

Cons

There are several features of the program, however, there are several steps to do an action that should take one or two clicks to accomplish. The viewing and setup aren't user-friendly and could use some work. They make it difficult to edit things such as lists or "rollups" you create and the search function isn't ideal. I would like to have more flexibility when searching for candidates within the system. It would also be nice to have an easier way of reporting and matching candidates to open positions as well as seeing the activity in that position. Definitely, more account manager/sales driven.

Pros

The parsing or "capture" capability from LinkedIn is a nice feature as it will use the picture and put it in the system as well.

Cons

It is more company focus rather than candidate overall. I would like to have something that was more of candidates with more detailed profiles and easy to navigate searches.

I completed a demo with a sales representative. The functionality was impressive. It was fully comprehensive with nicely color coded activities. It was mobile, , web / cloud based which is nice. Integrated with job board companies was also very easy to use. As a start up staffing agency it was more than what we wanted or needed. It was a little out of my personal budget but I would absolutely recommend this software.

The initial conversations/demos that we went through worked very well and the functionality that was shown was extremely appealing. PCR worked well for about the first month and a half and then issue after issue kept coming up...first the LinkedIn integration tool wasn't working on one employees computer which then slowly made it to the rest of the company. Then, the Outlook stand-alone browser (which you have to use in order to have PCR log emails) didn't work. Over the course of the next two months, neither of these tools were ever resolved and after bringing up the issues over and over again (that kept getting ignored since it was clear they didn't have a solution) we cut ties since they weren't even willing to offer us any sort of refund or discount and seeing that those were the two items that we were the most excited to use, the product held no value.

Pros

Unfortunately, there aren't too many things that come to mind.

Cons

The lack of solutions was the biggest, any time an issue arose, there were always "very helpful" people to let us know that they were on it right away (but then tried to sell us on some new functionality). The price they charge for a tool that doesn't work was very disappointing.

Advice to Others

Have a backup plan for them to refund you if certain tools aren't working. They're not in any rush to fix existing issues since they're more concerned about pushing out new functionality so be cautious.

It is an applicant tracking system that I started using regularly (after intensive training) in June 2016. The software is pretty user friendly, once everything is set up. It took them a while to start the training (not sure if it was circumstantial or if this is regular practice). Then, it took a little while to get everything set up for the connections between the PCR and the web and email extensions. Once all is set up, it’s relatively easy to utilize, however gets a little cumbersome when you need to make changes or add fields, etc and training is a must.

I found the product to not be very user friendly. I can recruit faster from out Outlook email - I simply type in a few key words and boom, I get many applications at my finger tips. I'd like a software to have an option to enter an applicant and track them all the way through to termination/layoff, with readily available tags showing his reasons for leaving, eligible to be rehired, etc. PCR just didn't have that that I could find. There were multiple click you had to go through to get to the tracking part. Egh, we don't use that any more.

I have used this for about 10 years and am going to a new system. Support has always been great, but the software itself is very cumbersome to use, IMO. It's not intuitive and processes are very lengthy, even to attach candidates to jobs, which should be one - two clicks. Search isn't that great and again, cumbersome. I am a sole proprietor so perhaps this may be better for a larger shop, but I still think there are systems out there that are much easier to use.

We have been with PCR for close to 15 years, the new tools they have come out with making it easier to use than ever before. The "Capture" feature, the Outlook, portal, and the ability to integrate with our Outlook calendar are game changers. The training and tech support have been excellent as we are in the midst of a major database update.

Having used PCR for about 14 years, I've been very pleased with the company, product, and support. The ability to customize various fields, forms, etc. allows us to really sharpen the saw in our business. Example? We are able to produce robust client reports driven by metrics and share them with our clients.

As with most tools, PCR does require new user acclimation but the intuitive web-based interface is fairly easy to navigate. More detailed knowledge is required to program certain customizations but the Main Sequence Team customer support is excellent and they stand ready to assist!

The company also asks its users what features are important to them and most often, deploys them. The hallmark of any strong software company is paying attention to the voice of the customer.


Advice to Others

In sum, PCR should be on your short list if you are considering a robust ATS.

We have been using PCR for 6 years now and wouldn't change a thing. the platform is easy to navigate and also easy to teach other people how to use it. The updates are highly anticipated and we appreciate that the support team really LISTEN to our needs. The depths of PCR seem endless - there is no limit to what you can do.. At times it can be a little too technical to get to where you need to be, but with PCR support its doable.
