TimeSolv Software

TimeSolv is a cloud-based project management and billing solution specifically designed for law firms, but it can also be used by accountants, consultants, architects and freelancers.

TimeSolv integrates common project management features such as time tracking and assigning tasks with billing functionality, allowing users to track billable hours and budget in real time. It also provides case management features.

It offers a full suite of billing functions, including invoicing, batch billing and integration with LawPay, which lets clients pay their invoices online.

TimeSolv also provides reports so law managers or practitioners can track their billable hours over weeks or months.

TimeSolv charges on a per user per month basis, with discounts in the mid-range and enterprise tier for organizations with more users. It is compatible with most major operating systems and web browsers, and offers Android and iOS apps.

This product is easy to learn. We work in Marketing Communications as opposed to legal and we find TS very workable for our billing needs.

I just want to say that as a prior and long time subscriber to Time Slips, our recent conversion to TimeSolv has been AWESOME. What a breath of fresh air! Thanks for developing such a great product; we love it already and am sure we will continue to be impressed as we keep uncovering new features.

And BTW - the customer service is unmatched. the customer support is great, the personalized training they provide is unbelievable, and there are tons of great videos and webinars to walk you through the various features.

TimeSolv does not offer users deep granular level editing or advanced settings like some of its competitors, the dashboard for monitoring your time is of limited use, and it could stand to have some more reports. I like to tweak things to make everything perfect the way I want it, so I was initially concerned by how basic the settings are after using TimeSlips for the past 12+ years (which allows users to edit/tweak just about anything but practically requires a computer programming degree to set everything up).

With TimeSolv, you don't need to tweak anything because everything is fantastic as is...seriously...check it out. Law firms lose billable hours by the bucket load when tracking an attorney's time requires learning and then using complex software. A friendly user interface and straightforward features that any technophobe can click through WILL result in a firm capturing more time. TimeSolv fits that bill and within the first week of implementation paid for itself with the user adoption rate and increase in the hourly capture ratio by everyone. As additional features and updates continue to be rolled out, TimeSolv will set itself apart from the competition.

Recommendations

I have tried them all and after a long search settled on TimeSolv. This is the best legal billing option on the market for a small to midsized firm.

The look of the site and the ease of use between tasks are most appealing. Also, most importantly, billing electronically is easy! Customer service is excellent.

The fonts for the invoices are too small. Would like to see options in the "design" of the invoices.

All features are great. You won't need to research a bunch of programs if you first start with TimeSolv!!

There are many things TimeSolv cannot do, i.e. you cannot get a list of payments and how they were applied. TimeSolv can do things, but a lot of what we need is not in the program, so you have to download reports in csv or excel, then download another report in csv or excel and then write a formula to connnect the 2. The training is non-exsistent.

Recommendations

Keep looking. There are other programs out there that might suit your firm better.

I would prefer to have an actual "stop and start" clock feature so that if I forget to turn off or turn on a timer, it's easier to recapture the lost time.

The software is really intuitive and doesn't try to do to much. I just needed something to generate invoices, track A/R and keep up with expenses. This fits the bill for a nominal price. Anytime I have questions they are really quick to respond and solve any issues (typically user related).

Use the free trial period and you will be up and running in a matter of minutes. Definitely the best software I tried.
