Pros

Cons

Pros

Love the drag and drop template builder and the capability to easily share content across different mediums.

Cons

Basic features like background images and the concept of child pages are missing and must be manually added or coded in by someone with developer knowledge, which makes all the surface ease of use a bit of a lie. The output code for webpages is also not pretty.

Great for a holistic view. Aggregates all social networks in one dashboard which is very valuable for a comprehensive view.

Cons

It's my second implementation of Hubspot and the company has changed. Asked to pay an additional per month to achieve basic functionality only after we signed the contract. Not notified of fees prior to signing contract.

Hubspot did review our SSL enabled website before we came onboard but did not disclose we would need this necessary add-on. Without the “add-on” we cannot gather inbound marketing analytics, the page performance and source tools will not reflect what marketing efforts are resulting in the most traffic – leads or sales. This is the primary purpose of inbound marketing, the sales funnel and the software. Where does it say in your sales information that these tools will not work if you have SSL enabled on your website?.

Currently, there is no performance analytics on our account so we can’t gauge what is working. We are being forced to pay additional fees to get the software working as advertised.

Pros

As it currently stands we can't access any performance analytics because we can't afford the additional fees. Looking into other solutions. Disappointed we need to move our business after time consuming setup.

Cons

Not transparent pricing. Only after you've signed notified of more fees.



Advice to Others

Buyer beware - many other options available at a much lower cost. Same tools.

I Couldn't rate the customer support as I haven't needed to contact anyone yet. I guess that is a good thing. I do like to helpful online video guides that move you through every process. I am familiar with many other CRM's, and now Hubspot. It almost seems too good to be true. This CRM is perfect for the guy that isn't a tech head. If you are wanting to have a CRM that is ready to use (rather than having to create every facet of your program), then this is the CRM for you. Honestly? I have only used the free side of things so far. My guess is that the other leg will drop soon, and I will have to pay for such a wonderful program. It might be an easy pill to swallow, considering how much time I have missed in sales to put together all of the pieces in other CRMs. I give these guys a 4-star rating until I see the price tag or have to use customer support. Thank you, HubSpot.

The only thing that I would like to see is this:

Once a task is created, It would be helpful if it hovered a little higher or was highlighted slightly to separate it from the rest of the notes at a glance. It would speed up the process of sifting through dialogue to get to the task at hand

Advice to Others

Check out the free side of Hubspot. I was pleasantly surprised. I'm hesitant to bring this to my boss' attention.

I used a trial version of Hubspot at the encouragement of a co-worker. It's a pretty amazing tool. Hubspot seems to be one the leading companies in this market. It really pulls together a ton of date and organizes it into a package. It's really a must-have for promoting your website and helps you convert traffic into revenue.

Pros

Tons of useful information to help you turn your web traffic into business.

Cons

It's great to have all the data, but if you don't know what to do with it once you have it, you might not need this software.

Advice to Others

Don't spend $1,000s on CRMs that crank out unuseful data. Get Hubspot

would like Hubspot to improve it's SEO functionality to include more inbound link tracking and other features to make it a complete SEO tool.

Recommendations

Invest time in trying out the solutions beyond the demos. Demos always look great until you try the software yourself. If possible run campaigns from all systems to ensure that they work the way they are supposed to.

Hubspot pricing makes it difficult to apply it to any project. Some new features they're launching and that I find very interesting, like paid campaigns management, require an "extra" payment to your monthly bill. SEO tools included are not intuitive so it's difficult to take the most from them.

Recommendations

Try their DEMO before taking any decision. Evaluate your real needs and your budget, and be aware that it needs pretty much time of configuration and continuous work with the tools to keep growing.

It categorizes individuals very well. I like the calendar scheduling feature and the auto text features as well as auto documents for email. It connects with google mail and gmail.

Being new to the field of sales and marketing, and having to manage all my leads on my own, I really like how Hubspot is able to collect all the information I need automatically. The best benefit for me is having profiles with a communication feed so I can quickly look someone up, see what we have already spoken about, and keep notes on their progress.

I wish that it was more "user-friendly" in that you do need to learn how to use and manage it. I have seen some other software demos where it has more familiar tools and processes that I could probably figure out on my own.

Recommendations

The pricing for this software is done on the number of leads your bring in, not the number of users. So if you are just starting out and you need something small, it may be cheaper to use this software since you aren't anticipating a large number of leads and profiles to manage. As it grows though, it might be better to switch to a software that charges according to the number of users instead.

Everything is in one system. The CRM is linked to both the sales and marketing platforms. Emails can be auto-logged to contacts in the CRM. Hubspot also integrates with Google calendar to create and log meetings.
Customization. You can create custom properties for contacts, companies, and deals, making the system work for your company's needs.

the website editor can be a little limiting - however, if your website is hosted elsewhere, like Wordpress, this won't be an issue.

Recommendations

If you're looking for an all-in-one system to manage sales and marketing efforts, this is it. It's affordable, offers integrations to popular third parties, and is more affordable than comparable systems like Salesforce.

Speaking as someone who wears both the sales and marketing hat in my organization, this tool has been incredible. Everything I do on a daily basis can be done from this one tool. And even more than that, all the data connects giving me one big picture of the marketing and sales process.

While it is amazing that the tool is rapidly evolving and improving with new features, this often means there are some aspects that don't function properly. These are usually small bugs that get ironed out pretty quickly. It also is a big investment. Yes, monetarily, but also time wise. Getting started with HubSpot required A TON of upfront time. However, HubSpot provides an on-boarding consultant that works with you one on one to ensure you are getting the most out of your investment in the first 6 months. OR, a number of agencies, like us, have partnered with HubSpot to help onboard our customers. We've undergone the same training their internal reps have so that we are well equipped to help.

Recommendations

You will need help. You need someone at least familiar with code (for implementing the tracking code and various other features they recommend putting on the back end of your site), a designer or someone comfortable creating images for landing pages, blog posts, and calls to action buttons (which is all created via templates in the tool itself), a content writer (this is a big one--in order to maintain the momentum recommended, you need to be producing new content constantly), and finally a marketer to manage and monitor the campaigns (perform testing, segment target lists, make any updates or changes as the campaign runs).
