Depending on your needs, Hubspot could be an over kill or just what you need.

Value for Money

If you have a team for internet marketing and are looking for a comprehensive platform, Hubspot is a great solution. If you just beginning or intermediate level of marketing and a small company, it's not the best ROI till you are ready for it.

Pros

It can do just about everything you or your team need to accomplish. It has great flexibility and covers most areas of a complete marketing department. The support is great and willingly given. Good automation.

Cons

Requires an extensive training ramp. It is almost like high-level programming to use the flexibility. Its capability is not for the small marketing department.

Beware of the hard sell. They use lock in contracts to keep you paying even when the system is clearly not working for you.

Value for Money

Hubspot is way over priced and the complexity of the system makes it hard to fully understand what you are buying into until you are bound by a lock-in contract. My advice is to thoroughly do your research as there are much much better and more economical solutions out there. Do not believe the hype from the sales team.

Pros

The CRM is free, but the rest of the system is overpriced and a waste of money. The tool is much more of a marketing course than it is a useful tool and you can get this information easily online without paying every year. Do not believe the hype!
The marketing course info is also very shallow and way to sales-y for most businesses.

Cons

The system has lock in contracts that are there to force you into paying and selling to the system to your customers and for me, I liked my customers' way too much to force them into lock in contracts. Lock in contracts are only used when companies struggle to demonstrate value over the long term.
The system did not work for us as it was way to salse-y for our clients base and despite numerous attempts to communicate with Hubspot about this they just shut it down.

You only buying the product, Support and training is the additional cost, also it is a commitment and even if you can't use the product if you don't have time to learn it and implement which is a full-time job, no refund.
I wasn't aware of the time and I need to spend to learn the product and training cost till I signed up and after that I was told there is nothing that they can do, that I will have to make time to learn the in and out of the product and implement it by try and error.

Pros

None

Cons

You will need to spend way more time to learn the ins and out of the product.
You will need to spend more money for training
No guarantee on ROI
You can't get out of the contract weather you continue using the product or not.

Buyer Remorse. Not upfront or transparent pricing - charge extra fees for necessary functionality

Ease-of-use

Functionality

Product Quality

Customer Support

Value for Money

It's my second implementation of Hubspot and the company has changed. Asked to pay an additional per month to achieve basic functionality only after we signed the contract. Not notified of fees prior to signing contract.

Hubspot did review our SSL enabled website before we came onboard but did not disclose we would need this necessary add-on. Without the “add-on” we cannot gather inbound marketing analytics, the page performance and source tools will not reflect what marketing efforts are resulting in the most traffic – leads or sales. This is the primary purpose of inbound marketing, the sales funnel and the software. Where does it say in your sales information that these tools will not work if you have SSL enabled on your website?.

Currently, there is no performance analytics on our account so we can’t gauge what is working. We are being forced to pay additional fees to get the software working as advertised.

Pros

As it currently stands we can't access any performance analytics because we can't afford the additional fees. Looking into other solutions. Disappointed we need to move our business after time consuming setup.

Cons

Not transparent pricing. Only after you've signed notified of more fees.

Advice to Others

Buyer beware - many other options available at a much lower cost. Same tools.

I Couldn't rate the customer support as I haven't needed to contact anyone yet. I guess that is a good thing. I do like to helpful online video guides that move you through every process. I am familiar with many other CRM's, and now Hubspot. It almost seems too good to be true. This CRM is perfect for the guy that isn't a tech head. If you are wanting to have a CRM that is ready to use (rather than having to create every facet of your program), then this is the CRM for you. Honestly? I have only used the free side of things so far. My guess is that the other leg will drop soon, and I will have to pay for such a wonderful program. It might be an easy pill to swallow, considering how much time I have missed in sales to put together all of the pieces in other CRMs. I give these guys a 4-star rating until I see the price tag or have to use customer support. Thank you, HubSpot.

Pros

User Friendly!

Cons

The only thing that I would like to see is this:

Once a task is created, It would be helpful if it hovered a little higher or was highlighted slightly to separate it from the rest of the notes at a glance. It would speed up the process of sifting through dialogue to get to the task at hand

Advice to Others

Check out the free side of Hubspot. I was pleasantly surprised. I'm hesitant to bring this to my boss' attention.

I used a trial version of Hubspot at the encouragement of a co-worker. It's a pretty amazing tool. Hubspot seems to be one the leading companies in this market. It really pulls together a ton of date and organizes it into a package. It's really a must-have for promoting your website and helps you convert traffic into revenue.

Pros

Tons of useful information to help you turn your web traffic into business.

Cons

It's great to have all the data, but if you don't know what to do with it once you have it, you might not need this software.

Advice to Others

Don't spend $1,000s on CRMs that crank out unuseful data. Get Hubspot

Pros

We liked the ease of use. The decision to evaluate marketing automation suites was driven primarily because we wanted to get a single view across the different campaigns we were running on eMaill, social, SEO and landing pages. They keep adding features to help keep up with the changes that are happening in the marketing space.

Cons

It would be nice to have a pricing structure that is more adaptable for new business units/start up mode businesses. This would help us to get the single view up front and pay more as we get more subscribers/grow.

I learned quite a bit about marketing to drive SEO and engagement using the correct content. I just needed to find a more affordable way to do get that done.

Pros

It's great to have everything in one place. Professionally done. Lot's of content, both written and in video form to help during set up and learning.

Cons

The cost is very high and for a small company, it's not a good fit. The ROI (economies of scale) is incredibly low if you don't have a full-time marketing person or department to use all of the features available.

The features in this software are actually the same things that I do every day for the company I work for. While I'm not sure if they would be interested in utilizing this software, I have definitely heard of it at work.
The benefits on my end would be more aligned with my boyfriend and his business partner. Both of which do not have the time to take on these tasks but would LOVE a system that can do it for them. I will be talking to my boyfriend about it tonight as I believe this can help not only his business but the two or three additional businesses that his partner owns!

Pros

I love how everything is right there in one system! The efficiency levels increase so much by being able to access everything you need without having to jump from system to system.

Cons

The pricing is a bit too high for individuals who are starting their own business. I believe there definitely is a lot of value and for a business that is established, the prices are amazing. I would suggest having an additional option for businesses that are less than a year old. i really believe this system could jumpstart a lot of the issues new businesses come into contact with.

Our entire inbound marketing efforts and so much more.

Pros

Once mastered the software can measure everything from CTA, Sales, Blogs all your inbound marketing needs it is exceptional and fairly intuitive to learn. I was blown away with how powerful a tool it is.
Creating templates for CTA and customizing is easy. I like being able to quickly create and clone a template to use for multiple purposes.
The support members are the most knowledgeable. They will step you through your issue, and make recommendations to what else to further learn.
I am impressed at how the support team wants you to learn and leverage all the features of the Hubspot software.

Cons

There is a lot to learn.
I am fairly skilled in tech and take to learning new software, but there is just so much. I had to call in many times to get assistance. They have a comprehensive online university as well. But it is not the same as implementing a work project.

It's freed up a lot of our workflows that we were doing manually. The CRM has been extremely helpful, as with our other CRM's prior, we were needing to setup Google Docs and what not to cover everything we needed to track. Hubspot has been able to take it all over.

Pros

The CRM was incredible, after having tested out a couple others (Nimble and Pipedrive), I was really impressed with how it integrated with our email, allowed for flexible email sequences and had the ability to manually enter actions.
The marketing piece has been great over the last few weeks of integrating it. We're already very impressed with how it integrates with the site. More on this to come, but already our marketing person has been raving about all the capabilities.

Cons

Some of the features need to be tested out a little bit more before being set into the wild. The message function, while still barely out of beta, hasn't worked very well at all. It's supposed to be used on the marketing site, to chat with prospects coming on for the first time, however, the settings don't allow for scheduling. When you click offline and hit the refresh button, it puts you back online, so hard to tell if we've shut if off properly.
Outside of that, no big complaints really. But like I mentioned, still getting accustomed to a lot of features.

Pros

This can make your marketing life so much better whether it is with analysis needed or actions to be taken.

Cons

It is extremely robust so even when you think you have it down pat, there are likely many other features that you haven't learned about yet - keep exploring the software to get the most for your money!

The company I work for had no landing pages, we had no calls to action. We essentially just had a bunch of pages of text that weren't driving any business. Since starting with HubSpot we have been able to get more targeted marketing to the clients we want to reach. We can tell who is hitting our website on a daily basis.

Pros

I can generally get done whatever it is I need to do in HubSpot. I'm not a web developer, therefore the tools offered by HubSpot really help me out a lot.

Cons

Editing a single page may require going to a few different places in the application, as well as several edits.

Pros

Easy to use, great customer service and support, very helpful and highly knowledgable team we work with, and the platform overall

Cons

Custom workflows are difficult to set up. I wish there were templated options to make the process simpler
