Good UI, extensive library of support materials in the Academy. Great features and functionality designed around the needs of modern marketeers. Comprehensive reporting enables clearer attribution of marketing to closed new business to prove ROI. I like the landing page builder and the ease of assigning sources to different campaigns. Dashboards are great for at a glance metrics.

Cons

Implementation was a little too light touch, expected more support from a strategic perspective. Double opt-in feature does not quite work yet. Does not support multiple Salesforce pipelines although due to be fixed later this year. Social tool does not have the ability to repeat posts.

Highly recommend if you're starting from scratch and don't have expectations for how to run email marketing campaigns. They give you all the tools you need to succeed. However, if you have something specific in mind, you may not be able execute on a process that doesn't align with "The Hubspot Way".

Pros

Very easy to get started. Significantly easier to use than Marketo, but still has a learning curve. They emphasize learning how to do inbound marketing "their" way, which is very good for SMBs looking to break into generating inbound leads. Their 90 day onboarding coach process is incredible - we've learned so much about inbound, blogging, webinars, and general email marketing automation. They train both for best practices AND for how to do the technical set up, which is nice.

Cons

While this is expensive, this contains everything a company needs to do inbound well. However, if you need more flexibility and already have something in mind for how to generate leads and use email marketing, then you may need to opt for a Marketo. For example, they only offer 2 unsubscribe options: "unsubscribe from all" and "manage preferences". They do not offer a "unsubscribe from THIS TYPE of email". They also do not let you integrate the subscription preferences page with a user's profile on the main website, and do not have a flexible way to manage re-subscribes via API.

For a small startup, everything you could need for marketing and sales is included. It's helped to have everything integrated.

Cons

Setting up some of the forms and landing pages isn't intuitive, but Hubspot includes a lot of helpful documentation to guide you.

If you have a team for internet marketing and are looking for a comprehensive platform, Hubspot is a great solution. If you just beginning or intermediate level of marketing and a small company, it's not the best ROI till you are ready for it.

Pros

It can do just about everything you or your team need to accomplish. It has great flexibility and covers most areas of a complete marketing department. The support is great and willingly given. Good automation.

Cons

Requires an extensive training ramp. It is almost like high-level programming to use the flexibility. Its capability is not for the small marketing department.

I'm still getting to know the software and know there are beneficial features I'm not yet taking advantage of-I'm excited to get more proficient.

Pros

Customer support is stellar. You can get someone on the phone very quickly and most are able to resolve your problem or question right away. Online training videos are very helpful. Interesting reporting statistics are available.

Cons

Switching from Eloqua, there are some features I took for granted and viewed as more basic that aren't in Hubspot. I don't love working in templates and having to edit the template in order to change the email versus just making a change on the fly and wish you could create a workflow for specific dates.

Hubspot succeeds as a platform for companies with fewer territories, product lines, or audiences. Ease of use is clearly their main driver and is best suited for a company without dedicated staff for marketing operations or automation. Uniquely designed tools with a great user interface.

Cons

Hubspot is limited and won't match up well at all with enterprise level automation software. Workflows are clunky, and an experienced marketing automation manager will not be satisfied with Hubspot's suite of tools for processing data. All major data manipulations will need to happen in your CRM, which can be a challenge for many organizations.

Cons

Beware of the hard sell. They use lock in contracts to keep you paying even when the system is clearly not working for you.

Hubspot is way over priced and the complexity of the system makes it hard to fully understand what you are buying into until you are bound by a lock-in contract. My advice is to thoroughly do your research as there are much much better and more economical solutions out there. Do not believe the hype from the sales team.

Pros

The CRM is free, but the rest of the system is overpriced and a waste of money. The tool is much more of a marketing course than it is a useful tool and you can get this information easily online without paying every year. Do not believe the hype!
The marketing course info is also very shallow and way to sales-y for most businesses.

Cons

The system has lock in contracts that are there to force you into paying and selling to the system to your customers and for me, I liked my customers' way too much to force them into lock in contracts. Lock in contracts are only used when companies struggle to demonstrate value over the long term.
The system did not work for us as it was way to salse-y for our clients base and despite numerous attempts to communicate with Hubspot about this they just shut it down.

Over promise and under deliver, cost too much, you will spend way too much time

You only buying the product, Support and training is the additional cost, also it is a commitment and even if you can't use the product if you don't have time to learn it and implement which is a full-time job, no refund.
I wasn't aware of the time and I need to spend to learn the product and training cost till I signed up and after that I was told there is nothing that they can do, that I will have to make time to learn the in and out of the product and implement it by try and error.

Love the drag and drop template builder and the capability to easily share content across different mediums.

Cons

Basic features like background images and the concept of child pages are missing and must be manually added or coded in by someone with developer knowledge, which makes all the surface ease of use a bit of a lie. The output code for webpages is also not pretty.

It allowed me to know if my emails were getting through and it gave me the ability to concentrate my efforts on those Leads.

Hubspot made keeping track of the emails that I sent out. Knowing if they have been read or if I needed to look or try something different.

Cons

The system would sometimes not connect properly but this was resolved fast. The price seemed a bit to much for me to continue use though.

Hubspot allows me to instantly receive notifications when some one opens email I sent them. I can call or email my prospect knowing my business is top of mind!

Cons

Constant notifications prompting me to upgrade my service with them. Logging into other emails automatically prompts Hubspot to integrate with another personal email not for business.

I just used a free trial but really liked what I saw. Unfortunately I don't make the decisions on the final decision.

Pros

I like the features that are offered for tracking clients/marketing/opportunities won/lost. We didn't purchase this software though as we are currently using one that we're fairly happy with. I had no cons, it wasn't my decision not to consider purchase of another software. We are a sales organization and need a good CRM that allows us to track progress of our clients interests, sales, etc.

A simple software for everyone starting to use a CRM, it is not the most complete one and that allows it to be simple enough for everyone to use.

You can achieve a lot with it though, it integrates with the browser and it allows you to control more aspects of it with gmail.

Pros

EASE OF USE! After using a competitor and working with both side by side the most obvious difference was how easy to use HubSpot was! It made navigating contacts and tools extremely easy to help convert leads into sales. A clear step a head of the competition in this category for me.

Cons

The Cost. Compared to some other similar softwares it was a bit pricey. However you get what you pay for, if you can afford the jump your company will notice a huge difference in overall quality.

I love that I can recommend HubSpot to clients of all shapes and sizes. It's a great platform with good supports in place. The UX/UI design is excellent and even the most novice users seem to be able to navigate the site fairly easily. That makes my life as a consultant that much easier, I can focus on the foundations of a good marketing system and sales funnel, and give clients a detailed overview without the hassle needing to create a tutorial program for every facets of the system from A to Z.

Pros

Great marketing automation set-up with a variety of key and core features, the HubSpot user interface and site design makes it easy to use. The system practically walks you through the process, as long as you have a comprehensive, well thought out strategy, HubSpot can get you to your online sales funnel goals.

Cons

The free options are nice for starters and the Basic level is a good step up. However, once you go beyond HubSpot's Basic level price point (calculated on a monthly basis), it gets quite pricey for smaller and local business entities.

This software was not user friendly as we would've liked. We use higrise now and I felt like this was more user friendly.

Pros

The best feature I like about this system is that I get a notification whenever a receiver opens an email.

You can easily keep records of all the customers

Cons

The basic package should be free or they should add a free package (With limit total number of users)

I am not to proficient with editing websites. This software does it basically for you. It helps with making sure that my future clients read what's going on with my company. I get more leads that are generally interested in what I am selling.

Cons

Other than the pricing. But for a software that helps me market get more qualified clients I am willing to pay for the software.
