mPower Beverage manages point of sale, inventory, customers and pricing levels for liquor stores with industry-specific features.

mPower Beverage is designed specifically for liquor and beverage retailers. Features such as case management (single/six-pack/case), pre-loaded beverage items, remote access, customer rewards and ordering/receiving custom-tailored to the beverage industry make this a great system for both new and existing liquor stores looking to update their outdated software.

This system includes a preloaded database of the most popular UPC codes, size and case back quantities and item descriptions to help users get started. It also allows retailers to create new orders based on the selling history and previous quantities on-hand. Inventory is always updated so users can have an accurate view of item levels for reordering.

mPower Beverage includes support for multi-store retailers and allows users to remotely access their inventory and sales information. mPower also assigns a project manager to make sure implementation, setup and training go smoothly. mPower also provides e-commerce and wireless integration for retailers looking to complete web orders and have employees use mobile terminals for sale and inventory assistance.

The Retail Package is a very user-friendly program that is versatile.

Ease-of-use

There are multiple easy-to-follow prompts. If you can read, then getting through a sales transaction of any kind is a walk in the park.

Functionality

So far, I have not found anything it cannot do that I want it to.

Product Quality

It's very user-friendly. The program is easy on the eyes. You don't have to search for what you are looking for; it is all simple 1-2-3 steps to follow.

Customer Support

The team I have spoken with so far, consisting of a total of three people, from sales to training, to set up, is wonderful. You don't have to remember several people's names whom you have spoken with or given instruction to. And the people are very friendly and very understanding of the different situations that creep up on retail. You don't feel stupid when speaking with them or feel as though you are being a bother. Most importantly, these people all speak very clear English, and take time to laugh if a joke is cracked. Every day, I deal with people overseas who either don't understand what I am saying, vice versa, or have no personality. The three people I have dealt with in this setup and training have all made me smile and even laugh a few times. That is good customer service.

The vendor is there is help assist in your setup and initial training. If you have problems or questions after the initial training, they are very willing to continue assistance until you have a better understanding.

Likes Least

So far there is nothing I have found in the program that I do not like. It is very adaptable and versatile to change, when certain circumstances or sales arise that are not in the initial setup.

Recommendations

Make sure you provide accurate spreadsheets and data to the team for them to load data into the software for you prior to opening the business. To load it in afterwards is a bit tedious if you have lots of inventory with different data (e.g., wines, liquor, etc). To start with a full setup is much easier than to load as you go along. Overall, I have been happy with mPower.

Ease-of-use

The point of sale is very user-friendly to employees with minimal PC experience. The back office takes a little more experience, but someone with basic computer skills can navigate it pretty easily.

Functionality

There were minor glitches and bugs with the previous version that appear to have been fixed in the new version update.

Product Quality

I like that there are instructional videos in the help menu to refer to. Because of this, I rarely have to call tech support.

Customer Support

They really help by communicating with me via email if a problem should arise with the credit card processing company being down or when updates become available.

Likes Best

It's user-friendly. They have good tech support. I'm able to install the back office on multiple devices for remote access.

Likes Least

I wish there were a faster way to input inventory (e.g., data collector or scanner capabilities for back office).
