  • Pros

  • Support staff is very helpful. I think it is really important to have a good retailer to help with the setup to make sure it works correctly from the very beginning.
  • How user friendly it is and they keep updating and adding useful modules. They also have excellent customer service.
  • I am very happy with our decision to move to AccuFund. It is specific to non-profit accounting, and the company adheres to a continuous improvement philosophy.
  • Cons

  • Very unforgiving of errors and not amenable to certain transactions. For instance, invoice cancellation does not release the receiving.
  • Also, sometimes you will get the message that an illegal action was performed, not sure why this happens. There was some major confusion during the start of the ACA reporting.
  • I was able to see which vendors were missing SSN before this last update, but that is not available any more.

  • Pros

  • We like how easy it is to use. There are times we have many assets to use or purchase a new company, Sage Fixed Assets provides the ability to upload this information from an Excel spreadsheet.
  • The grouping function and Excel export is very useful. I would say 70% of the time, the customer service is really good, better than other tax software companies.
  • We have over 300 fixed assets and this software helps us contain, track and depreciate. It is a very useful tool for us.
  • Cons

  • Getting answers to questions about report availability has been difficult. Mistakes were made by the implementer during system setup and some are still not corrected nearly a year later.
  • Our implementation analyst was not very knowledgeable about the system, he had a hard time understanding our questions and guiding us in decision making.
  • The customer service - it takes forever to reach someone. When there are updates there is always something wrong with some aspect and you have to wait until the next update is released.
