As the expense approver, I'm presented with a list of expenses my team has submitted and can either go through them one by one or approve them in a batch. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Functionality: 3/5 #### Pros I just need to upload my invoice, receipt, etc., to the correct place, and the software will read everything on its own, extract the correct category for the expense, and keep you in the loop for the final confirmation or adjustments. It's easy for the finance team to return expense claims that lack specific data points, and you can correct them without the need to go through everything over once more. #### Cons You can upload receipts and additional evidence only with the initial submission; you cannot submit them later. It is only possible when the Finance team returns the expense, which typically requires additional messaging with your team. No incentive was offered Payhawk has been a major disappointment for us. During the sales process, the platform was presented as being “almost free,” while the actual costs turned out to be nearly €3,000 per month. In hindsight, only part of the pricing and contractual obligations were disclosed transparently. They managed to convince our controller with an incomplete picture, while important commercial and contractual details were not properly highlighted. Once signed, you are locked into a very restrictive 3-year contract with little to no flexibility. Our experience: extremely expensive, lacking transparency, and highly aggressive commercially. Our advice to other businesses: think carefully before signing with Payhawk and have all pricing and contractual terms thoroughly reviewed before committing. The system is really easy to use, the how guides have been really useful when we did get stuck on something, and your customer service is responsive and helpful. Our guys on the road were up and running with minimal training because it was so intuitive. The ability to have virtual cards means that new starters aren't having to submit expense claims any more. #### Cons Would be nice to be able to hide some of the payment categories depending on users. There are some invoices from certain countries for which I have to use a regular bank to pay the invoice that is already in Payhawk.
