Grow BI Dashboard is a fully integrated, cloud-based business analytics solution for small to midsize organizations. The system includes over 100 metric templates that users can utilize to customize their dashboard.

Grow takes all of a user’s data, from a variety of sources and integrates it into one dashboard. Grow has data connections with Salesforce, Dropbox, Google Analytics, Twitter, MySQL and many more. The solution can also support custom integrations. The system is private and secure, with read-only access to data, and all data is transmitted over the internet via SSL encryption. Grow brings real-time data into the dashboard, allowing the user to view trends as they occur and share information with their team. Mobile access via iOS devices gives users access to their business’ performance stats on the go.

Great way to visualize your KPIs and Amazing Support

The main business problem Grow solves for us is visibility into all areas of the business. When everyone understands how their counterparts are performing, we all can work together and unify our efforts.

Pros

Grow makes it easy to put together information from every part of the business onto one page. They also make things like sales dashboards very easy to do. I haven't found a data source that Grow doesn't support. My CSM has been extremely helpful and responsive.

Cons

When we started using Grow over a year ago there were some minor frustrations with scrolling and general navigation. These have been resolved. For the basics needs to which we put Grow, I have no "dislikes."

The easily read graphics, and information sharing is clear and concise. When not using SQL, it is really easy to use.

Cons

Really hard to set up special metrics if you don't know SQL. The Growmies are a lot of help, and I am looking forward to the release of the new Beta.

very easy to display bi visualizations

Pros

very good for fast analytics, i like specially the multiple type of graphs, and the intuite way to add colorful layouts and combine trends with forecast type of visualizations.
I found also cool the canvas size is more versatile than other market solutions as tableau or power bi. The way to build the formular resembles the way excel works, and that is easier for my clients to understand.

Cons

is a bit difficult to find data source.
I have some issues to find how to edit all data sources features

We use the tool to eliminate some of the data silos we have in our operations. It has wonderful functionality of bringing in multiple data sources - from social media, website analytics, POS data, etc. - into one dashboard.
We've been able to get important data, from multiple sources, into the faces of our managers every 5 minutes (that's the least amount of time between data updates). Which has allowed us to be more agile when it comes to saving money and reducing risk.
It has great flexibility and the team at Grow definitely works hard to impress. They build an integration into one of our software to make it easier to work with their system.

Pros

Their UI is awesome. I love the overall look and feel for the entire system. Graphs look updated, clean, and they are fairly easy to customize. Making the dashboards look good is fairly simple.

Cons

Not data warehousing the data is an issue. Long load times really get me frustrated with the software. It seems to take a minute to edit a metric, load a new metric, or even sometime update a metric. Updating a dashboard can take 2 minutes at times.
Drilling down and looking into the data is very underwhelming. Dashboard filters don't exist so you're stuck loading filters only to individual metrics, not the whole dashboard.
Email triggers that send reports on a set schedule are limited to only 7 am MT on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule.
Time zone offsets have been the death of me in the system. They use SQLite to format the data coming in but their out-of-the-box data filtering overrides all SQLite filters. It's been super frustrating trying to get the data we want.

You can really connect it to most software and get most numbers that you want. Their customer support is amazing. They jump in and do a lot with you.

Cons

It's not the easiest to use once you want anything more elaborate than basic metrics. But that's the tradeoff you make for the immense flexibility.

Customer support, flexibility, integrations with other APIs. Ability to script in SQL as well as have spreadsheet functions available.

Cons

Some APIs are more developed than others. For instance, the Twitter Ads API could use a bit more automation, so that I don't have to manually select the relevant campaigns each month. Ideally, there's be a way to automate this for a given month.

Grow allows my entire agency and all of our clients to see the metrics that matter most. In turn, we are able to make adjustments 10x faster than when we had to manually pull reports and create visuals on a weekly/monthly basis.

Pros

I have been using Grow for over a year now and I am in it every day. When initially researching realtime dashboard systems I was drawn to Grow because it offered all of the integrations I needed as a digital marketer. It was extremly easy to learn how to setup the metrics and to integrate multiple data sources such as advertising spend versus customer data from Salesforce. The recently added a variety of new capabilities to allow for the user to modify the data present using filters which has come in very handy when presenting to clients.

Cons

The only drawback I can think of is I would like to have more flexibility with customizing the visuals with the size of the fonts and having a few more options with the types of charts.

We can implement the adage, "You can only fix things you measure."

Pros

The integrations and metric setup UI makes it easy to get visuals up and running quickly. All you need is experience with spreadsheets to get started.

Also, the visuals look really polished. We're starting to use it in decks for VIP audiences.

Cons

If it's not an integration, you can't pull in the data without some exotic workarounds. I'd love a custom API builder to pull in data for smaller vendors.

My favorite thing about this software is that it integrates a lot of other data from different kind of applications. Some of my favorites are Google analytics and Trello. It also has unlimited users which is nice when your company is continuously growing.

Cons

The demo which they provide does not really allow you to see many of my favorite functions of the software but once again it is just a demo.

Grow is incredible. We rely on it for our daily operations to measure the effectiveness of our product solutions as well as internal processes. Grow enables decision makers at various levels of responsibility in our company to be predictive for both internal and external forces that affect the bottomline. As a COO, it affords me the ability to establish goals and benchmarks for my leaders to digest and make decisions on without long meetings just to get up to speed on the data. Everyone uses the moniker "Google It"; our team says "Grow It". Grow software has completely shifted how we see our business. If we can't take a KPI and "Grow It" we will not use it. My only warning is once you start you can't stop! The business intelligence and strategic guidance we've acquired from converting our non-human spreadsheets to visually stimulating Grow metrics is unparalleled. If you're on the fence... go for it.

Cons

Trash in trash out. Working on your business not in your business. This isn't a negative on Grow as much as the user. You have to learn the system, collect data, and accept the results. Grow pairs well with a strategic plan, but you have to start with a strategic plan.

I have had limited experience with Grow, but all that I've had has been great! Customer support representatives are very responsive and show me tips along the way, so I may make minor changes myself if it is pressing. The responses are quick, professional, and the open-dialogue is much obliged as well.

Pros

The simplistic way it can be organized and viewed, while still being able to give us all the information we need without having to build anything beyond our Excel sheets or take the information from our existing internal platforms.

Cons

I wish some of the font could be changed as far as size and colors to have it be more of an aesthetically inviting display.

Grow has designed excellent software that is flexible and easy to use. They seem to plug into almost all of the other tools we want to work with, and when they don't we can work something with a Google sheet or something else. They've got a good API as well. Their service is excellent. Love this company.

Pros

Easy to use, great design, flexible, excellent integrations, fast customer service.

Cons

Doesn't include a few features, like sparklines with hovers for point in time data, that I with it did.

Advice to Others

Our Grow dashboard has been pivotal in giving us realtime data to increase velocity on our Dev team. We put together a bullet graph that had a moving target so that every day the dev team knows if they are behind or ahead of the target. This instant visability, tied into Jira, was a huge motivator and part of the reason we have increased velocity on our Dev team by 3X in the last 6 months. We use it throughout our company for various KPIs.
