It's the most frustrating thing I've ever had to deal with.

I like the ease of which the system is set up, its very user friendly. Even for people who struggle with this new technology.

Easy to use and navigate around and the ability to open a tab without keeping customers card.

First system I have used with tablets at table, which I like.

After using this system and growing our brand new business after 8 months I can honestly say it is the worst system I have operating between 7 locations I am involved with.

Customer service was difficult to contact a few months after Covid in 2020. And our card swiper broke 4 times in 2 years and was difficult to get another one quickly.

This was a really good option for the money. They give me the ability to track sales and inventory across all of my stores with ease of access.

The whole Lavu system is frustrating and not user friendly.

Easy to use, easy to set up and it is self-explanatory. You can go into the backside of the program and checks your sales for the day, how many customers you yourself have waited on.

The missed up of this POS are the total of revenue doesn't matching, has to be manual counted after cashier closing.

Overall, we have great support. All specialists are knowledgeable and helpful to resolve any issues, questions or concerns that come up.

The best part about it is flexibility and the pizza builder that is integrated into the system.

Good for new tiny restaurant who does not need so much integration and etc. You can get regular hardware.

Maybe I should start with the fact that they billed me today for Quickbooks integration that I DON'T EVEN HAVE. Let's start with the outright misrepresentation of their product.

Years ago there were some pretty bad issues with the service going offline and we were totally down.

The biggest problem is that there is little to no integration between Menu Drive (which they purchased from a third party) and the LAVU POS.

I have had an overall very good experience with Lavu at my previous hostessing job.

New employees can figure things out quite easily. Integrates smoothly with Vantiv (Mercury) including their gift program.

Obviously if we are running specials we don't have pictures of those items, but for those who are more visual this is very helpful. Also helps train new staff on what each plate looks like.

They send you system-wide emails apologizing saying their system was hacked and therefore the interruption i.

It started off ok although challenging and difficult. But after getting though the kinks it was almost ok because their tech support team could help a lot.

Great inventory and POS software. Ease of use and easy to teach employees to use.

Over the past 6 weeks I Personally have over 50 hours logged online on hold and on the computer trying to make stuff work that is failing.

This ruined my business. Would not work if not connected to the internet, had lots of bugs and terrible customer service.

Being able to add pictures of products or change color of box to help locate the items faster. Ability to change prices, product name, add new product with ease.

Recently, the restaurant reported to me that they had a glitch and lost printers. Tech support finally helped and got the printers up but somehow lost half the menu.

Technical support has been great too. I love the backend real time reports and how easy it was to set up and change menu items.

Counterpoint makes it simple to cancel or change orders without forcing unwanted or unnecessary complete voids.

Overall, we're very happy with our purchase. From an point-of-sale perspective, it's very friendly.

It’s by far the worst decision I ever made for my company.

Our integrator (Rapid Domains) has done excellent work at reasonable rates.

We settled on CounterPoint because of it ease of use and great function ability. Before CounterPoint we used a general cash register without UPC scanning capability.

The overall is excellent, I really have nothing to complain about the program, it is definitely excellent.

Customer service is practically non-existent, and when we do get to talk to reps, they give us conflicting information.

Centralized database is great experience for who own many businesses and access remotely is great feature for IT dep.

This is a system that does its job and worth considering.

It helps me auto fill orders or if I am not dealing with my usual contacts I can pull up their account to decrease confusion.

I was forced to upgrade to the new NCR Counterpoint.

I suffer through a crash almost once a day. There is not a way to go back and “undo” most errors such as typos.

For the most part, very reliable and built like a tank. Easy to customize once you learn the back office stuff.

Updates are expensive and require additional installation expenditures. The vendor charges some ludicrous prices for supplies, and they are expensive on support.

When problems or errors come up, they can be very difficult to deal with.

Counterpoint has been great for our point of sale and inventory system. Simple  ways to do most everything and extremely easy to get people up and  trained on the system.

We have paid about $30K for a system that we are totally frustrated with, and no one will get back to us as to when things will be fixed.

Counterpoint is a solid reliable product, easy to use for the end users. Dependable where it counted.

The POS in general is good, and if they can improve their costumer service I would definitely recommend them and would probably still had it on the store.

Still some recurring bugs to figure out. Still does not have a fail-safe feature to protect  counterpoint tickets from being lost forever during a software crash.

The software is of an older design and could use a visual/UI refresh but it works well so that is a minor worry.

I have experience problems with all aspect of this software. Orders are being lost and irretrievable.

Dependable product that was easy to customize and fit within the budget required.

The NCR Counterpoint solution includes an e-mail marketing tool, integrated e-commerce, mobile alerting, built-in gift card and customer loyalty programs and hardware specifically designed for the retail environment.


The NCR Counterpoint omnichannel solution is fully configurable and retailers can sell online using the integrated e-commerce solution. The integrated email marketing system allows retailers to use customer data to develop email marketing campaigns. Mobile alerts give retailers the ability to set alerts on important in-store activities and have those alerts delivered to them in SMS or email format.


POS terminals used with NCR Counterpoint systems can be customized to either be a touchscreen or manual entry, depending on need. They also include intersystem messaging and employee tracking (clocking in/out) to provide appropriate communication within a retail operation. Users can track sales and pull daily reports, along with the ability to always take instant readings of drawer amounts.
