pCloud, a balanced storage service.

Despite some mishaps, pCloud works correctly on most devices that I have installed and has been a powerful tool for out organization to have everything stored in the cloud, even when we share safely with our customers.

Pros

the desktop application works correctly , and it has an attractive design in the cloud, it is fast and it levels your bandwidth very well when it keeps synchronizing.

Cons

I did not like your support team, since I presented some problems with several users in the organization, we went to make a report but the response time was not pleasant and when it was obtained they did not meet the needs of the organization.

Solid backup solution that silently works in the background

We are able to back up our important documents in the cloud continuously. Peace of mind knowing that even a machine failure won’t stop our business activities.

Pros

It has been an awesome app for us.
- set it and forget it types.
- back up all or few folders
- creates a virtual drive on your machine thereby increasing the hard disk space.

Cons

at times it starts to consume more RAM/CPU and makes the machine slow. This can be looked into.

Don't run out of storage

Using pCloud on a laptop with a small SSD harddrive. The cloud storage integrated with your harddrive - pCloud mounts a virtual drive in your computer and you can use it as if it was installed locally. This way the small SDD is extended by another 2TB of space...

Pros

The best thing is that it does not use the storage but keep everything in the cloud. Access of the files is very fast.
Another cool feature is the inbuilt encryption.
Also, the possibility to rewind the files to a previous date.
You can also give access to others for selected folders and files.

Cons

The desktop app is sometimes slow to start, appears paused.

The Cloud Storage with a Lifetime Access

Pros

The option to pay once for a lifetime access to the cloud storage in addition to the normal monthly payment. Recurring bills means we can lose access to our files once we stop paying. And the software companion is also a solid and easy to use.

Cons

Paying once upfront instead of monthly billing means spending a lot more.

Best Budget Cloud Storage Option

pCloud creates a secure virtual drive on my computer that means we can save unlimited amount of files on pCloud virtual drive that doesn't take any space.

Pros

pCloud is one of my favorite cloud storage service. It helps us to save and share important files, documents, images, videos, etc. One of the major thing I opt pCloud over similar service it doesn't take space on my local hard drive. pCloud is one of the rare popular cloud storage service that offers a Lifetime storage space for a onetime fee.

Cons

pCloud Android App is really bug nowadays. pCloud should take care of this and redesign Android App and makes less buggy.

The fastest cloud storage solution

I've been using the free version of pCloud personal for more than a year. Without even filling the space offered, I bought pCloud Premium and business as soon as the Black Friday/Cyber Monday offers of 2018 were up. Prices are low as they are, but with said offers pCloud is not only the optimal solution for my needs, but also the one priced lowest.

Pros

Virtually unlimited hot cloud storage, with unlimited download and upload speeds. Because of said speed, pCloud doesn't use space on the hard drive. Exceptional end-to-end crypto solutions are offered as well. Multi-platform; an AppImage makes sure it works on every Linux distro, plus MacOS and Windows. Applications for iOS and Android are also very light, without sacrificing functionality.

Cons

Because files are retrieved straight from the cloud, sometimes you might forget to backup files for offline use. If you sync the same directory from a multi-boot PC, you might encounter some problems. They could also offer business plans with less storage for a lower price, for note-sharing and other businesses that don't really need all that space.

Store and Share Files Easily

Pros

Cloud storage is the future, and pCloud is one of the leaders in the field. The user interface is friendly, the performance is top notch. File management is very easy.

Cons

Other than the fact that it's not free, nothing. It does have a limited free plan though.

Fast, easy online file storage ... with excellent security *or* sharing

Pros

The pCloud servers are fast. Uploading is fast, downloading is fast. That's one of the main prerequisites for a good online storage platform, isn't it?

pCloud isn't a *backup* platform, it's a storage platform for selective storage and retrieval of files.

You can have perfect end-to-end encryption via pCloud Vault. You pay extra for this, but when you have this, not even pCloud has access to whatever you put in the Vault.

You can also share files from pCloud - and this is the feature that I use most often. I host video files in my pCloud Public area, presented through a video management service and then embedding them on my website. pCloud is fast, and I don't have to worry about how much storage space I'm using. Sure, you could use DropBox but you'd be paying more for the storage space you get.

Finally, I also like the fact that pCloud is not an American company because of the legal & data access concerns that can come up for non-Americans like myself, my business, and some of my current clients.

Cons

If pCloud believes there is copyright infringement with any of your files that are not in the Vault - whether in your regular "mostly-private" area or the Public area - they'll block off your account and they won't tell you why.

I had this happen with one of my pCloud accounts. I had a lot of anxiety from that experience, and thankfully after a very thoughtfully-worded letter (explaining why I didn't think there was any copyright infringement in my files) *faxed* to their legal representative, I got that account - and access to the files there - reinstated.

Part of my frustration was in their inability and/or unwillingness to tell me what content was deemed problematic by either (a) their automatic "sniffing" algorithms or (b) someone's complaint. How do you defend yourself against an accusation when you aren't given any specifics at all about the accusation?

So beware of that possibility.

The Home for Your Files in the Cloud

Pros

Everything just works. You set the desktop app up once and forget it. The service will run in the background as if it's part of the local storage. It also allows users to upload online files directly to the cloud storage.

Cons

If you want extra security and file encryptions, you'll need to pay more.

Finally Decluttered My Mobile!

Finally, with about 2 years of endless photos, video clips and screenshots on my poor ageing Samsung I synced to pCloud and moved everything across easily. From there I downloaded a zip file onto my computer and saved it. I've freed up valuable space on my mobile and kept every single file I wanted in the process. My mobile had stopped installing updates because there was so little room available and my mobile's own dashboard for moving files was just too complicated for me. pCloud was the obvious choice to sort my stuff out.

Pros

pCloud is fast and easy to set up. You're guided through the process and it's pretty obvious where everything is.

Cons

I really can't think of anything I don't like about pCloud.

Fantastic cloud service for connecting employees that are in and out of office

Pros

New users start witn 20 Gb, or even more, if they find a promotion for bigger/better start. You can access and work with Your files from PC and Your smartphone.

Cons

Several of options and features should be more "polished". Some useful options are additionally charged.

A great app hosting files in the cloud. Especially useful for music.

Pros

I love that when you share music the link opens up an easy to use media player. I use it for sharing beats and music easily without the recipient having to download it.
The search functionality works fine as well.
The apps work great and the syncing is almost unstant after uploading a file on any device.

Cons

The interface isn't the easiest to navigate. I wish there was a better to find files that deep within files within files. It seems I have to start from the main menu every time.

A good competitor

Pros

The platform itself is easy to use and it has some great security functions along with some good features to interlink accounts. It is fairly easy to navigate also and has a good level of storage options

Cons

The 1 problem i always have with this is the time it takes to load a photo once in the cloud, sometimes it has an error and does not even load, it has happened on more than 1 occasion now.

Similar to Dropbox

Pros

I first encountered this software when a photographer send my newborn photos through this site. I decided to try it out since I take a lot of photos myself & need the storage space. Customer service has been great when I've had issues & had to contact them. I love the large storage space that I can get for free. And as a regular user of Dropbox, I found this easier to use in saving and creating my files.

Cons

When there is an update to the system, you must do it in order to continue working in pcloud. Sometimes I'm a little leery of updates because it can almost completely change how a software will perform. You generally do not have the option to postpone the update if you want to continue working.

Another useful cloud software

Pros

What I like most is overall it is similar to other cloud storage, so it's a familiar interface and use if you have used one before. Even if you haven't, pCloud is user-friendly and does offer you quite a bit space (even compared to others) for just the free version.

Cons

What I like least is the upload time can take a while, though I haven't found many cons. However one might say it's similarity to other cloud storage could be a con.
