Procore Review

The experience has been very good.

Pros

This software has been easy to use and is much better than having to print out many pages of paper that may not be necessary.

Cons

At first the website was difficult to navigate as a first-time user.

Procore - A must Have for 2018

My overall experience with ProCore has been amazing.

Pros

I love how convenient it is to have one central repository for all project related documentation that can be made available to any member of the project team. It has saved countless hours of filing and distributing the many documents created on a project.

Cons

The ability to do quantity take offs is limited, but they have promised to improve it with updates. Am looking forward to this!

Procore is super in construction, helps you stay up dated in projects

Pros

Easy to access in any device, also you can get sub contractors in the system pretty easy so they can access the project and stay updated on schedules and the time frame of the project and what need to get punch list and done!

Cons

My cons will probably be only is that they should make it so you can get notification is to devices you use them on. For example, I sent a notification to my drywall sub contractor to get the last punch list done, I wish he can receive it like a text message to see he has to get it done.

Pros

This features of this application have all been useful to my construction firm. It makes project management easier and less stressful.

Cons

It took our employees a bit longer to be able to use the application even after the training. It must be more user friendly.

Procore stands well above all other construction management software!!!

Pros

Every aspect of Procore is a pro. The possibilities of use, the ease of use, the customer support, the complete coordination, etc. It is PHENOMENAL!!

Cons

The one and only complaint is that Procore is consistently changing cosmetic features that move my common buttons or areas. Once I've adjusted to the new areas it seems to change again.

helped out our efficiency

Documentation is better and overall project management is better.

Pros

The project management tools are all in one place making it much easier and more efficient to do my job

Cons

The worst part about Procore is deciding which tools fit best and will produce the greatest result while not getting bogged down by to many options.

Procore

Pros

I used this software as a project engineer in construction management on a $15 million job. It was simple, easy to use, and easy to adapt to the situation.

Cons

I'm not sure how well the software would perform on a larger scale. It's not set up to anticipate every detail needed when you get to a billion dollar project for example.

Procore

Pros

Great for team collaboration. Punchlist and drawings are the most used. Procore Drive is a must for redlines and tracking file changes.

Cons

Lack of sub albums for photos is a organization nightmare. Sync has limits and is not ready for every day use.

Estimator's Opinion

Pros

Using this product has completely revolutionized the way that our department handles the preconstruction process.

Cons

The only downside is that, because the program is web-based, you can sometimes have slow response/download times as well as some down time.

Expedite and Encompass all Document and Cost Controls

Pros

Procore is easy to use and easy to teach. Any person has the ability to learn and be prolific in executing documents and cost controls related to construction projects. Additionally, there are many other programs that interface with Procore that make a professional in construction able to successfully deliver a project.

Cons

I believe that Procore does a whole lot, just not every tool is as helpful as the others. Procore floods your inbox more than needed with reminders.

Great collaboration platform!

No

Pros

Collaborative functions such as drawings and specs modules and the speed at which these items can be uploaded.

Cons

Procore is great & I enjoy using it.

Pros

I like Procore because it makes me organized, it keeps everything in one place, and it has unlimited storage.

Cons

What scares me about Procore is if it crashes you can't use anything. Since everything is in one place if the site goes down or is being worked on you can not access any files, submittals, RFIs, ect. Also, sometimes hard to get subs/ vendors to use jump on board with it.

Procore Year End Review

Emails generated by Procore seem to get ignored more often than not and I believe this is due to their generic nature. For instance, if I am a subcontractor sitting at my computer and I get a Procore notification (or dozens), I don't know if its a submittal request, an invitation to bid, or an update to the drawings. And if i'm getting dozens of these notifications each day, it becomes difficult to prioritize. I've noticed that subcontractors are much more willing to respond to a personal email than to a Procore email. It would be helpful if a Procore notification could more closely resemble a regular email. Who it's from, the subject, short and sweet.

Pros

Procore's construction management tools are both easy to use and functional. Some of the best features that come to mind are the Drawing tool's ability to keep track of current drawings while still being able to review superseded drawings, the Submittal tool's ability to assign submittals to subcontractors so that they know exactly what is required and when it is expected by, and the Punchlist tool's ability to simplify the tracking process and even pinpoint each item to a specific location on the drawings.

Cons

All construction companies have a different way of doing things but Procore, in a way, forces everything to be done a certain way. If you try and tweak things to mimic your company's way of doing things, it may break some of the automated functionality within the software which may cause a lack of continuity and create the potential for user error. Also, some of the tools could use some major improvements. The Drawing tool's markup options are great but they are inconsistent. For instance, when adding text, the only way to change the font size is with a slider bar which makes it difficult to keep things consistent. Also, would it be possible to get a copy and paste feature? The Directory tool is great at keeping companies and users organized and it would be incredibly helpful for companies to add some custom features. For instance, my company likes to track how many employees a company might have, and the states that they are willing to work but there isn't a good way of noting this.
