Overall ProEst has been great, easy to learn and use, and can still have many more options for customization.

Good if not better than other estimating software. Much competition- But very reliable.

Proest has a inbuilt database and also you can create your own database  so that  you can use this again and again for your estimation in one click. This software is very friendly and  easy to use.

I have been using ProEst for the last year and have for the most part been very happy. The customer support has been very good.

One of the better systems I have used (JE Edwards, Sage, Premivera, ect).

Very disappointed with our experience and will not refer any business associates. We will not be renewing our subscription.

Terrible schedule program; visually unable to have clients and vendors understand it.

Mid way through my ownership they rolled out the cloud based application of the software and it was garbage, lost of glitches, very slow response, etc.

If the scale is metric you are forced to use metric takeoff numbers - it's the little things that make you fiddle around & waste a lot of time. This product feels unfinished - not 40 yrs old.

Ability to create a custom database and can be used to consistently produce quick estimates. I love the onscreen take off.

This is a friendly software for estimation purpose but, they have to improve a lot and make it use like excel.

Although the layout is similar, manipulating columns,rows and data is different.

Its easy to use estimating software and saves our time in creating a price proposal to several customers of our company and easily  keep track those at one place.

The scheduling program lacks tremendously; the estimating and couple other modules are completely unused, otherwise very capable program for managing vendors and clients.

There is NO other estimation/ takeoff tool that lacks this functionality. Additionally, there are no keyboard shortcuts (... in 2019).

Building an assembly from scratch is so difficult that they now have someone in house that does this for their customers because its so difficult, think about that.

The fact that it is easy to customize the take-off settings and get a clear measuring tool when needed.

ProEst is a pretty solid, and incredibly deep take off program with very helpful and responsive customer support.

We enjoy many features ProEst has to offer. There are many different ways you could use the software, from a pure budgeting stand point, to keeping historical data, to only writing formal proposals.

Overall it is a great system,  they have an awesome trainer that will work with you until you got it. Customer service is also real helpful.

We are no longer able to populate the proposal to send to our clients who are expecting their bid today.

Integration with other CRMs is a little bit more tricky.

They call you back right away and they seem to care and want to take care of any issues. They are good at explaining the program or any issues that you might have.

We were so frustrated initially that we wanted to get a refund back but we stuck with them. The mapping wasn’t working and dynamic items used for production weren’t created on the fly.

Just went live and so far we love it, really expanded our capabilities in more than just order entry.

Ease of setup and configuration, it's not perfect but easiest I've ever used. Rules and formulas are very robust giving you more than one way to solve a problem.

UI (very limited capabilities to customize). No API (integration with other systems is critical).

Everything is so easy once it’s setup properly. Now I have to be honest that there are some bugs here and there and hopefully it can be fixed asap.

Lack of native version control and collaborative features for modelers (at least in older versions). Lack of native quality of life features when writing formulas.

We had nothing before, so this is better than excel sheets.

Ease of setting up rules, pricing, options for products.

Implementation was horrid. Restrictive in the capability of filtering categories to select options.

Assists on CRM to a great degree and is very user friendly. I like how I can create same rules to apply to majority or minority of options.

You can configure anything you want using the design center with minimal knowledge about codings. You need to know how series, models, properties, formula and rules work.

It also has logic very similar to Excel for building formulas, so if you understand Excel formulas it's easy to pick up.

Complete control over the UI design. The ability to deploy to different environments in a lightweight fashion.

We have certainly had many performance issues. Some of the error logging/reporting is not quite usable for average modelers.

Good Customer Support and Easy-to-learn Excel Logic.

It solved a need in a way that permitted much customization and it integrated with MS 365 which we were already using.

Overall it's more of a problem with how everything was set up instead of a problem with the software, but it has been a pain point.

Overall it seems to be so customizable that is is very capable to meet diverse customer needs. Because of that, it is easy to end up with a very convoluted or complex instance in Design Center.

The time out issues are bad, the quoting approvals take longer than they should and making changes to quotes are very difficult.

Integrations with Dynamics 365 are excellent, even with custom fields. Customer service from Experlogix has been top notch.

I have faced the problem of circular reference in formulas while migrating from SAP to this tool. Also, multiple IFs which overwrite the value cannot be used, which instead needs to be nested.
