I'm using MongoDB and it's easy to spin up a database, though it takes about 20 minutes to complete the set up. Backup services etc seems ideal, with different frequency settings.

Not sure I can come up with anything to complain about. We've adopted SG as our platform of choice for future MongoDB deployments.

The ease of use was fantastic. The dev ops that goes into setting up scalable and redundant MongoDB clusters in Microsoft Azure is fairly daunting, but ScaleGrid automates 95% of that.

The startup promotional pricing made it easy for me to get started. Clusters are very easy to configure and deploy, and there are a lot of options when setting up.

But the lack of this really isn't an issue, and not a big downside for me.

Customer service is my best part, the team is great, always responds to our messages and queries and sometimes are already investigating issues they picked up before us.

Ease of use, easy integration, easy to read intructions.

We were looking for a dedicated cloud hosting provider for our databases. Because AWS/Google/Digital Ocean lock you in via egress costs, it was imperative we found a solid, cost-friendly solution.

Spoke to ScaleGrid support, and they said they price this way because that's how DigitalOcean Managed Databases are priced, which I find it quite a laugh.

Unable to upgrade to specific version by myself (i guss not so easy to implement as to complain about it). Cannot backup only single db.

ScaleGrid was an awesome choice. Haven't looked back since.

The second outage was a cluster intended to provide higher availability - didn't work. Support has met their SLA (1 hour ) however it's frustrating sitting idle when your production database is down.

I like the integrated backup functionality and the monitoring dashboard. Also the feature tu start with an hosted version of MongoDB and do the transition to the selfhosted AWS VPC.

I love that it does many of the management that I had to do manually in a competitor and with a very great support.

The software is quite easy to deploy, and the support team did respond quickly.

It's so advance, stable and fast, we sleep in the night without worries about downtime, it's the most thing we are happy with so far in our company.

It's perfect for early stage startups like ourselves who take MongoDB hosting seriously and want to build a scalable architecture.

The Redis service was provisioned quickly and worked great out-of-the-box. Removing Redis from our own app deployment has eliminated some complexity and helps keep us lean and stable.

Overall very satisfied with customer service, nice features and functionality.

Snowflake made it super easy to understand and learn. The ability it has to handle the amount of columns that it does is amazing.

I love how straightforward and performant the solution was.

It provides helpful features like merge, JSON flattening which are very handy options. Snowflake cloud SQL editor is very fast and helps easy developments.

They are faster than traditional databases, and the are charged separately for compute power and the storage space , which makes it usable in a flexible cost effective manor.

Coming to the operations, the snowflake has query history well maintained with importance performance metrics , and they have a good support team who responds quick.

The ramp up has been difficult. There are a couple key features missing that might overpower the strengths of the software.

I really like the speed and the quality of the Snowflake UI. It is the easiest database tool I have ever used in my career.

The interface is very attractive, it is extremely fast to query huge datasets, and there is a strong online community of users to learn from.

Snowflake's Worksheets interface is easy for SQL novices to figure out because it's simple and straightforward, which is exactly the opposite of many competitors.

Its quite a good experience, and performance is not a issue anymore.

The fact that we can automatically scale up and scale down based on the need helps to save cost but still achieving the business needs.

Their documentation is also good, but it's not as novice-friendly as I would like.

Snowflake also integrated well with our data science platform. The management of users and access was very simple to use and understand.

I love Snowflake as they have made data warehousing a very easy activity. Having the ability to use SQL to query huge data sets is revolutionary.

This really speeds up your sql computation, since we can use different computation warehouse on a same datasource, which distributes the load, it is a great experience with Snowflake.

I almost used all the OLAP databases but this is what I loved a lot, less in price Great Performance & User Friendly.

Great SQL interface, especially for novice users.

I love the new features coming out and Snowflake just keeps getting better.

This lack of this feature is understandable since it's projected more as a storage warehouse.

Its a great experience, our API's have become faster in response time, we stoped worrying about storage size and computation power , now its scalable and decoupled.

A minute potion of the syntax of sql is slightly different from psql, which makes it hard to migrate the application from different psql service providers.

Want quick and easy query results. Then yes, Snowflake is correct.

Our data scientists have found it a pleasure to work with, with rich analytics query support.

For example, linking directly to the relevant section of their documentation, based on the type of error.

Easy to integrate with AWS pipelines. Snowpipes and tasks are great.

Exceptionally easy to scale up or out based on needs, and some nice cost-saving features like auto-suspend/resume for compute stuff.

On other platforms, novices are easily intimidated because of the complexity, but Snowflake does a great job of keeping it simple and clean.

The computation power and storage capacity in decoupled (pay for what you want) it provides a good query history and query analysis feature.

Sometimes the response time of portal increases which anyone hates. Understanding the data-structures is not always easy.

They just added visualization and it is amazing. Super fast to run queries and extremely easy to use and share.

And also query metadata help's us in understanding the performance issues if any. The support team responds quick and good.

Costly if data is too big. You can't own the data, you have to depend on the Data Engineering team.

Snowflake is a great product and very competitive on pricing.

Cloud based database and warehousing improves  performance and reduces cost.

This is a cloud database and warehousing service, the syntax of snowflake is like psql. They have a good community support and good documentations for all the queries.

The error messages could be more detailed and expanded. The support for Mac seems to be more limited.
