Housecall Pro is a cloud-based field service management app for service professionals to automate their workflows. This solution includes a native mobile app and complementary web portal and serves a wide range of industries, such as cleaning, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and more.

Housecall Pro allows companies to forego paperwork in favor of digital automation. It offers features such as job scheduling, dispatching, payment processing, estimates, automated receipts and invoices, customer notifications, company chat, as well as postcard and email marketing automation.

Customers can book services via the HouseCall mobile app, communicate through a centralized messaging system and make online payments.

The mobile app can be accessed on both Android and iOS devices. There is a free version for single owner/operators, which offers many of the core features of the paid version. Premium pricing is based on the number of users, and an enterprise license is also available.

Good service, easy to use for contractors

Overall great value for the money, easy to use, very helpful in integrating our feild techs, billing, and accounting, and for client reminders via email and SMS. Generally the customer support was quick to respond and helpful. Would recommend.

Pros

Really liked HCP as a contractor. They are constantly adding new features to make it better and easier especially for small business contractors.

Cons

Email and SMS services were limited. Post card marketing was very limited. Also, the platform did not have very many integrations with other APIs when I we used it last.

Pros

They are very friendly and communicative at the outset when they want you money. They will respond to your inquiries within a month.

Cons

Be careful: if the product is not useful to your business they will not refund the activation fee. They should know that a non-service related business, or a service business such as reomdeling, has too few customers to warrant the use of their app.

Works good except quickbooks integration

I'm overall happy with the product. It does what I need it to, and there are still features that I haven't taken advantage of yet.

Pros

Pretty easy to use. Does my invoicing without any headaches.

Cons

My accountant doesnt use Quickbooks online he uses the software version and he couldn't integrate to two.

It’s good for our grassroots company and helps us look professional.

Can’t print a list of customers among other things. Can’t keep my place when I am working through a customer list. Have to open customer info in another tab and it’s easy to forget to do that and then I have to start all over going through my list.

Great App

Overall my husband and I have really enjoyed using this app, and will continue to.

Pros

Everything about this has benefited our business. My husband and I have been skeptical because of pass investments. From the booking on line, sending invoices no additional charge, texting customers from our own selected number provided by HPC, instanpay within 30 mins after collecting for service/product, give overview off proformance etc.

Cons

Although we do enjoy this App overall there are just a few things that are sort of a blow (but not too much) as I mentioned the number we can select through HCP to text our customers they have that appares on our url page along with our actually business line, which can be confusing for our customers. Also although you can link with search engines, FB, yelp it’s a 10% fee on every service booked through them (yikes!). Lastly being we’re currently a mobile service only I think it sucks that we have to put our home address on the invoice inorder to connect with the search engines, but you really don’t have to if you don’t want just for those who’d like to link you url to the search engines for direct booking from them.

Way to easy to use. Awesome platform! Even the android version which I use is very simple and runs great. Customization and live updates so we can change things as a team. Customer invoices never gets lost. The team that backs the programis by far the most dedicated set of individuals that work like I well oiled machine. Always there when you have issues and work hard to improve on every innovation possible.

I wish they could get the android version to be more like the apple. That would be spectacular all around.

Good program with ability to be great

Overall we are happy with HCP. Customer service is always right there and they try to help the best they can. We are a little disappointed that certain features haven’t been addressed yet (even though we’ve even had phone conversations with employees that have called us for feedback and really like our ideas) - I.e. the ability to input equipment information for every location and warranty information for each piece of equipment.

Pros

We love how user friendly this software is and that it’s linked to Google Maps.

Cons

I don’t like that there is no ability to input equipment information or warranty information. I also don’t like that you can’t run specific tags and print a list (I.e we have contract customers and we can’t generate a spreadsheet for them).

Great tool to book your clients

Overall, I have a great experience with HCP. I would recommend , we rarely have issues, and it is an invaluable too to us and our company to keep us running. Thank you HCP team!

Pros

The best thing about Housecall Pro is how easy to use it is! It automatically sends out emails and texts to the customer whenever you make a booking change. The sales rep, management team and customer are all connected. The tracking of the of who did the up dates are also very helpful. Everything is instant. The dashboard has a quick glance option to see all the important things that are coming up or unfinished tasked that need to be complete. Our company would highly recommend!

Cons

The customer service. The reps, not all of them of course, but they frequently shortcut by just posting the FAQ as answers when you need a bit more of an in depth explanation. I rarely have issues with HCP but sometimes it takes them more than the "5 minutes" to respond as advertised. Sometimes we are on the phone with the customer and they are also impatient. A few times my issues could not be resolved because there was simply nothing that they can do. Some features to HCP need to be expanded so they can be integrated with more resources on the internet. It is rare that we have issues but it still can be frustrating.

I cannot see the appointment's notes in my schedule and sometimes I need to move appointments around according to the notes. It's inconvenient to have to open each appointment to view the notes, whereas if they were displayed in the appointment on the schedule I will not have to waste time going in and out.

Their customer services is responsive and helpful. The software is easy to use. Probably won't find anything else easier.

Pros

Estimate to job to invoice plus attachments are great. Having customers with addresses and master address for billing works for us. I like that I can nickname my customers and that my field techs can see the addresses and their schedules and inform the customers that they're on their way and complete. Invoiceling from the field helps.

Cons

I'd like more functionality with the app that I get from logging in to the admin portal.

I love how easy it is to use. I can train my technicians to use it on there phones or tablet with no hassle. I have used other software and my technicians hated to log in to it. Now, I have no problem. I am thankful for Housecall Pro. Scheduling and payments. My customers don't fuss about giving me there email address no more either when I tell them the reason. Invoicing and messaging to customers is now a breeze. The customers love it when they get a message to let them know we are on the way. Just love this app.

Cons

I have not found anything that I dislike about the software but it don't print out the scheduled time on my hard copy invoices for the customers that does not use the computer.

very good. The guys really like having their schedules and options to reschedule right at there finger tips. Customers really appreciate the "on my way" text. i really like being able to got into each job and find out where the techs are with there jobs at any time during the day
