Jobber software


Jobber is a cloud-based field service and landscaping solution designed for small and midsize businesses. The solution offers features like scheduling, invoicing, a client database, quotes and more.

The scheduling module allows users to update jobs in real time, including information on progress and completion. Jobber can set up individual jobs or a recurring contract, assigning multiple employees on a single job. Jobber offers drag-and-drop functionality when moving appointments. Invoices are sent automatically via email and follow-ups are built in. Jobber partners with various electronic payment apps, such as Stripe and Paypal for all its transactions.

Jobber’s customer relationship management (CRM) module tracks contact information, and users can create custom fields, tags, attach files or phones and more. It links multiple properties under an account. All of this is connected back to the billing and work history.

Jobber offers services on a monthly subscription basis that includes support via email and through an online knowledge base.

    I used to have my crew members write their notes and track their time on client sheets. I then had an employee who collected those papers, input hours into a google sheet, and invoiced through Quick-books online, and managed client information through a different CRM. That employee wound up costing 10% of the monthly income! When they quit, I found Jobber and was able to manage so much more on my own, drastically cutting costs. I have better control over all aspects of my business because of Jobber, and I would highly recommend it to other small service businesses.

    Pros

    The best thing about this software is that it allows a small company to manage most of its administrative and office needs in one place, by one person. It also scales as you get bigger to allow delegation of tasks to other team members.

    Cons

    With the new payment collection options, Jobber has addressed the biggest complaint I had with the software, specifically how to address partial payments.

    Ease of invoicing monthly and scheduling who is where

    Pros

    Scheduling element, and colour coding cleaners. The link directly to invoicing.

    Cons

    We need to be able to see a top level view of which cleaners have which clients on each day of the week - not date specific. So who has Monday cleans, etc... would help us hugely. And printer friendly views for cleaners without smart phones! (we still have some)

    Drag and drop feature, invoicing is a breeze and the client portfolios/job hub and the insight generated is so user-friendly.

    Cons

    I don't really have any cons with this software. Any software like this is going to take a while to learn, but becomes second nature quickly.

    Ease of use for my team. I like to schedule reoccurring jobs years in advance. I like the batch invoicing.

    Cons

    I would like to see text messaging reminders for task to the team. This is when a last minute job or emergency call comes in after the days schedule has been made. If the team member does not look at calendar they will miss the added job. Also would like to be able to text customers a invoice when in the field.

    Pros

    I had one problem with the interface and less 2 months later it was remedied. I never even complained about it, they just fixed it themselves. User friendly, amazing and the best thing that happened to this pest control company since the invention of mice.

    Cons

    Nice try. Not one thing. And if there was you guys would fix it before I could complain. We use Jobber every single day and we would be lost with out it!

    Easy to use and has almost everything we want. Customer support is usually very quick. Easy for the guys in the field to use.

    I wish it could sync with desktop quickbooks. I wish the map followed actual streets, not "as the crow flies".

    I love the automatic entries, that happen when I start typing an address. Saves wasting any time!And I love the invoicing system!

    Cons

    Only adjusts time on the calendar by half hour, would be helpful to adjust automatically by 15 min increments quickly

    The software is very easy to use. You can go from a request to a talk or job in a blink of an eye. Changing a quote to a job can happen with just a click of a button as well. All the information is transferred over.

    Cons

    You can not change an email in the main page for the billing until you send out a bill again. That is not very easy seeing as how most of the billing is not done from the office and the technicians would not remember to do that. This should be able to be done without having to bill.

    I run a small residential cleaning business. Before I started using Jobber, I was scrambling with trying to keep my growing team up to date with paper schedules, texts and phone calls. Now my team can view everthing they need to know about their workday or upcoming schedules right from their smartphones.

    Only God knows how many invoices I would have forgotten to follow up on without Jobber. I love the reminders to invoice, follow-up, close a job, etc.

    They release updates often and are very helpful when I have questions

    Cons

    There are just a few features I would love to see, that would make my jobs easier: 1) Change orders. Even on small jobs these come up. 2) Ability to include add-ons and options for the customer in the quote, so they can pick and choose the details of their project.

    The customization features. Forms, reports. I love the Help files and tutorials. Also the capability to have quotes approved. I really like the client Hub

    Please get the calendar scrolling month to month, and when I click on Month, please have it centre on the current week, not always the first week.

    Time! more time to do what I want. Keeps me organized and in control from anywhere and every where.

    Pros

    Invest a little time and set up correctly (tags, services and products,etc). Stay on top of your day to day, minute to minute and annual systems, processes and team members with ease. All in one solution for me. EASILY Book, schedule, quote, invoice, collect payments and follow up for reviews, etc. Easily get a 50,000 feet view or 5 foot view of whats happening in your business.

    No search feature for products and services. Pain to amend existing products and services in the system.

    I'm able to run my small business like a Fortune 500 business and it looks like one too! Customers, employees and I love it!

    Pros

    Jobber has empowered our company to grow from 0 to 400+ weekly accounts in just 2 years by eliminating the billing, routing, staffing and payroll issues we otherwise would be battling. We started out with an excel spreadsheet, but then we found Jobber and it solved most of our problems immediately. Later, they added even more functionality, closing the gap and allowing us to run our business profitably and efficiently from anywhere. The app is great and my team literally has no boundaries, other than their cell phone signal. I recommend it to anyone in a small service related business.

    Cons

    The built in Google routing doesn't always seem accurate, but that's a Google issue, not Jobber. Otherwise, we love it!

    How many things it does! I can really completely manage our clients without over-complicating things for the employees using the app.

    Cons

    I'd REALLY like a feature that you can assign a BILLING/ ACCOUNTS PAYABLE email address. Or some kind of feature that you'd be able to assign certain functions to each contact email address. Some of our clients want some staff to receive reminder emails for appointments, or follow up emails, but they want ONLY their accounts payable person receiving the invoices. Right now, it undermines the batch invoice function because I have to manually switch who is getting what.

    It's very easy to use for scheduling my daily tasks as well as all of my side jobs. It keeps me on track.

    The website is a bit clunky. If you know what you're looking for, it's easy to navigate, otherwise you have to dig.
