Bomgar is a cloud-based or on-premise secure access and remote support solution suitable for businesses of all sizes. It offers remote support, privileged access and vault modules within a suite. Key features include customer support, help desk administration, internal IT support, collaboration, monitoring and auditing.

The privileged access module allows users to create accounts and monitor and record sessions in real time. Users can set up a secure remote connection to view and control remote desktops, network devices and servers. Other features include session forensics for compliance, cloud infrastructure management, authorization, notifications and credentials management.

The vault module is an enterprise password manager that enables users to store passwords, find privileged credentials and share admin passwords. Bomgar offers integrations with HP ArcSight, Lieberman Software, ServiceNow, Splunk and more.

It is available for purchase with a monthly subscription. Support is offered via live chat, phone, online guides, video tutorials and emails.

Bomgar is a very good software, it has too many excellent and lucrative functions that complement very well the long distance remote connection, the only factor that affects are the prices but I trust that at some point the plans for a better accessibility will decrease. Bomgar has helped me a lot in business, since I can connect with my employees to provide support and other things.

Pros

The best thing about Bomgar is the speed of its connection, it can be anywhere in the world, in any country, and in the same way, provide a support with a fast connection and without connection drops, the stability in this software is the factor that has given you the most life.

Cons

I do not like that Bomgar has high prices, since the intention of this software is to help connect from any place or device and give distant support, but the prices of the plans do not allow accessibility, if the mission is help, I would like lower the prices so high.

Pros

It allows use to handle remote access and do it without troubling the user, it allows us not to require knowledge of the user password

Cons

Product is pricey for the small to mid size shop, the need to touch each device for installation takes a lot of coordination for remote users

1 on 1 training so get started is very easy. It is scalable with no issues, good and responsive tech support. Overall very happy with the tool

Cons

no remote file transfer on the free version. No really any other considerations with functionality . It does come down to the price.

This is a fantastic utility for providing remote support to users! The utility is light to install and run and connects quickly and seamlessly. It's also incredibly helpful to invite another tech mid-session to take a look at a user's machine instead of having to set up a different session or disconnect so someone else can connect.

Cons

Mobile device support would be great (especially with an increase in mobile devices being used these days). And built in audio would be pretty cool too (instead of having to call on a separate line/softphone.

Sometimes we couldn't access the app due to low bandwidth, but we rarely had that issue and it usually worked great!

One very cool thing about Bomgar is that you can pin your session and stay connected through a reboot. This is helpful, as this isn't an unattended remote support software. It's helpful to be able to stay connected through reboots when doing various troubleshooting, without bothering the client to keep entering a key. Also, the mobile device management is full featured, although it doesn't work on iOS currently.

Cons

We're not able to use Bomgar on iOS, unfortunately. For PC and server connections, Bomgar is amazing. Also, whenever Apple does an OS update, Bomgar seems to break. I think that's more an Apple issue, as lots of software breaks after OS updates. We haven't run into a single problem on the PC platform.

Bomgar is FAST. the Speed of connection is very impressive. You can connect anywhere in the world and rely on its speed and the customer support is awesome.

Cons

The prices are over inflated. I think this service could be provided for a lower cost. And finding the users' computers to select from the list could sometimes be difficult.

Instant remote connectivity to machines outside of your network.

Pros

The ease of connectivity to remote machines is undoubtedly the most liked feature of the software. Within few seconds, the session begins once a user allows to share his/her machine and it gives full controlling access to the remote user. Very helpful for organization where the employees are not tech savvy.

Cons

The software should look into other aspects of connecting to remote machines. One alternate could be the use of IP address which could be automatically detected once the user clicks on a unique link shared by the remote administrator.

The software is very versatile and has more features than we would ever use. They constantly update with new improvements. Support has been absolutely amazing in the few instances where we have had a minor problem. The products works across standard SSL ports, which makes it dead simple to integrate into customer environments.

Cons

Some competing solutions do have better video resolution. The hardware and support can be a little on the high side compared to competing offerings.

The best thing about using it for remote support is that I can take over the remote of customers that aren't on my internet. Being able to more reliably remote to customer's computers is extremely helpful. Simple user interfaces for the agent & the customer.

Cons

It pops up a lot while working on other projects, which is annoying. There are some quirks when new operating systems are released. When setting up the console settings, it's take a bit of time due to all the options. ( not really a bad thing to have options, but time-consuming for sure)

Easy to use remote assistance.

Pros

I like how Bomgar gives me and my team the ablilty for remote support to any system or mobile device, anywhere. We can connect quickly to remote PCs and devices, see the screen and control the device, and have support whether we are on or off the network.

Cons

Bomgar makes it incredibly easy to start a session with a user. We used it to provide IT support for hundreds of remote users. Being able to remotely help users kept out costs way down.

Cons

Using Bomgar when a system is infected with malware is challenging. Rebooting a system remotely and hoping you can get back in is not fun.
