Bomgar is a cloud-based or on-premise secure access and remote support solution suitable for businesses of all sizes. It offers remote support, privileged access and vault modules within a suite. Key features include customer support, help desk administration, internal IT support, collaboration, monitoring and auditing.

The privileged access module allows users to create accounts and monitor and record sessions in real time. Users can set up a secure remote connection to view and control remote desktops, network devices and servers. Other features include session forensics for compliance, cloud infrastructure management, authorization, notifications and credentials management.

The vault module is an enterprise password manager that enables users to store passwords, find privileged credentials and share admin passwords. Bomgar offers integrations with HP ArcSight, Lieberman Software, ServiceNow, Splunk and more.

It is available for purchase with a monthly subscription. Support is offered via live chat, phone, online guides, video tutorials and emails.

It does it's work and it keeps its head down

A alternative to the other big boys of Remote Software

Pros

Bomgar is like any other of its kind, a remote software. It is easy to use, easy to deploy. It's very affordable and reliable. I've used it to service people in latin america and europe with no problems.

Cons

It needs it's features like in remote chat to be fleshed out more. I feel like the software needs a redo UI wise.

Excellent for IT support at a distance

Pros

This is another great solution for working at a distance and allowing IT to help from other locations. I am able to get IT support from the main office while working from other locations. This works seamlessly and I trust the connection as well as the IT professionals using it.

Cons

No cons that I can think of. Really a great product so I don't have to physically drive my hardware to the office to get updates and other issues taken care of.

Bomgars great features

At the hotel I work at bomgar has helped a lot when the system goes down. I really like how easy it is for the technical support to help us.

Pros

It was easy to be able to connect with the people who assist you when using the program. The session Id is very useful and easy to connect.

Cons

Sometimes the connection drops and the session is lost but that is about it.

For remote work sessions between two or more people on a technical issue, this is a great solution.

Pros

Ease of use. I used this software as an end user in a customer support situation. The product runs flawlessly, is more secure than traditional RDP based solutions, and enables collaboration features those products lack.

Cons

Because of its job, it has to be intrusive to the Operating System, and requires administrator approval to do so.

Excellent for VIP Support

Bomgar is excellent if you need to help someone with their computer remotely, because the connection occurs over the internet.

Pros

I really like how Bomgar can allow an IT technician to work on your computer remotely. It is much like TeamViewer and allows remote desktop control.

Cons

I can't think of anything I did not like about this software.

The best and secure remote tool

It is amazing, imagine how much time and effort you are saving by using this software and also you don't have to explain things that are hard to visualize. This is very awesome.

Pros

What I like about this software is you can access another device without even going there physically which is cool. You can do trouble shooting, software and installation that your customer can't do alone. We use this all the time that makes our customer service exemplary.

Cons

It is great prey for hackers, but as Bomgar is always saying the connection is tightly encrypted that no one can get access to it.

Bomgar is really one of the best products that someone can use to provide technical support. You can forget about regular RDP with this revolutionary product

Our organization is spread across the globe and have been acquiring more companies. Bomgar has helped us to continue site services task during the time of mergers and acquisitions and in case the network tunnel is down

Pros

Where to start from, first and foremost you dont have to be on network to have an RDP session with a user. During my 3 years of experience as a security analyst, I have had trouble multiple times for not being able to reach user or have a session when the user is off network. I used to work with skype in these cases, but from last 1 year, skype is going really fast towards its end. Plus, if you are an admin, you can straight away hop onto a machine with bomgar client installed without user's approval. If the user does not have a client installed, a bomgar session can also take place via browser.

Cons

It is a client based system. I have had trouble setting up bomgar sessions via browser. Apart from that, I have had absolutely no trouble using bomgar

Very good remote IT support software.

good. very good. it's the bombgar!

Pros

From what I've seen, the best IT escalation teams use this. That should speak volumes. It has the tools needed to get the job done when remoting into clients and configuring machines on a network. Many companies like ZOOM now have remote functionality, so I like the idea of a dedicated program that is built like tank to just handle remote stuff.

Cons

I haven't really had enough time to compare it to eBLVD, but it seems like a strong tool.

Amazing remote Access Software

Pros

This is a must for anyone doing remote computer management. Bomgar is an indispensable tool for remote administration, from user privilege elevation to Smart Card and Kerberos Authentication Bomgar is the essential remote PC management tool.

Cons

The only issue we discovered was related to software release updates, both the Admin and the remote PC have to have the same release of the software in order to successfully connect and elevate permission, if the Admin machine has the upgrade but the client does not pushing the current version to the client PC can be difficult.
