Bomgar is a cloud-based or on-premise secure access and remote support solution suitable for businesses of all sizes. It offers remote support, privileged access and vault modules within a suite. Key features include customer support, help desk administration, internal IT support, collaboration, monitoring and auditing.

The privileged access module allows users to create accounts and monitor and record sessions in real time. Users can set up a secure remote connection to view and control remote desktops, network devices and servers. Other features include session forensics for compliance, cloud infrastructure management, authorization, notifications and credentials management.

The vault module is an enterprise password manager that enables users to store passwords, find privileged credentials and share admin passwords. Bomgar offers integrations with HP ArcSight, Lieberman Software, ServiceNow, Splunk and more.

It is available for purchase with a monthly subscription. Support is offered via live chat, phone, online guides, video tutorials and emails.

    What I liked most was the reliability of the service. Bomgar allows for one to assist customers on a more personal level offering more of a tutorial by offering tools to offer step by step guidance.

    Pros

    The speed and ease of connecting to a users machine is great. Being able to remote into machines outside our network, or non-company standard devices is very useful. The host of admin actions that have been simplified and included in the dropdown controls makes for efficient execution. Screen sharing simplified-multi-monitor support.

    I have not experienced any issues with this software over the years that I've used it. It's been a workhorse and has performed solidly.

    Bomgar support team is awesome! When we installed it in our network closet it was simple. Configuration was not as easy as we thought. Users adaptation can be challenging.

    File transfer functionality is a great tool.

    We have used this in many applications. Our External IT utilize it to assist, our accountants use it, as well as others in order to share screens for various reasons

    - Easy remote connectivity and safe for our IT department to provide us Tech support
    - I have control to grant access and discontinue access
    -Downloaded app gets deleted and does not hold up space on computer. Manual removal is not requierd each time.

    Bomgar is what we currently use for IT to get into and obtain control on another computer. This allows for easy diagnostic of issues employees are having and also allow to correct the issues easily since you are remotely on there computer. The connection time is very quick and you can have more than one bomgar session going at once

    Cons

    So far no drawbacks. We have only been using this since December 2017 not Quite a year yet by so far we have not had any complaints.

    Works but not worth the cost, comparing this to ScreenConenct I cant recommend it.

    Great overall experience in using the tool

    Pros

    I like the ability that Bomgar provides with which remote access to your desktop can be provided securely. The tool has other viable benefits like previleged access among others which make it really appealing when compared to the competitors in the industry that provide similar features.

    Cons

    The experience is user blocking when a request comes from Bomgar. The interruption causes a loss of attention and focus on the current task being performed. I just hope that the experience can be a little less intrusive.

    My company has been using bomgar for it site services to resolve customer it problems. It is a handy small client that lets you easily rdp to another machine without the machine being on network

    Pros

    Admin rights can let you rdp to another machine without waiting for user to let you in

    If you can handle the price and you are really large, this can be great for your organization to solve problems.

    If you are smaller, it's harder to use all the functionality that it offers. You really have to have someone using it daily to get the biggest bang for your buck.
