ATRIO by PAR Springer-Miller Systems is a cloud-based hotel management system. Founded in 1968, they have over 30 years of experience in hospitality management solutions. The system offers a unique and simple interface, influenced by modern and familiar Internet applications, and was designed to be usable by new hires without extensive training.
Among the many features included in the ATRIO GEM (Guest Experience Management) suite are booking and check-in functions, an arrival and departure list and an automated rooms controller that manages room assignments. The availability screen allows users to check rates with a calendar view and book rooms, which are updated automatically from the online booking engine.
PAR Springer-Miller Systems also offers the ATRIO POS for retail and restaurant sales. The system shares the same streamlined design and can be accessed on a desktop terminal or a tablet computer. It also incorporates a contextual screen design that displays checks that are open at any given time with a large number of modifiers. They also offer the ability to use a series of touch gestures to make changes such as swiping and pinching.
Also available is ATRIO SPA, a spa management suite that allows for multiple appointments, guest itineraries and promotional alerts during payment. Helpful reports make it easy to analyze trends and breakdown revenue by services.
This system is suitable for a wide range of organizations in the hospitality industry such as amusement parks, campgrounds, independent hotels, RV parks and more. It’s a good fit for businesses with 10 or more rooms, more than two employees and any number of users.
Ease of use, relatively easy to enter rates.
Ease of finding correct menus, relative ease of entering and creating rates. Interfaces with Windsurfer CRS.
Does not have auto-rate spread function, which would allow to enter one rate in a base room type and all other room types to auto-populate their respective rates. Restrictions don't interface with Windsurfer CRS. No ability to close on property level...must choose by rate instead of property.

We use ATRIO at a hotel of ours that has about 340 rooms. Installing ATRIO was a rather quick implementation that included connecting to an industry known booking engine and credit card solution.
ATRIO is a 'cloud' property management system that includes a front desk client. This model of architecture is favorable for us in that we get the benefit of cloud technology as well as the reliability of an applicaiton that can provide a better onsite experience.
The training for our front desk staff was negligible. The intuitive UI/UX provided the perfect backdrop for a quick implementation. While ATRIO is a departure from our company standard, it was easy to correlate our processes to the functionality of the application.
As mentioned, I give the UI/UX, usability, and ease of use 5 stars. Their customer service is great when working with their team; they are knowledgable and the design of the application allows bugs and issues to be addressed quickly. Their support is email/portal only which sometimes makes it difficult; I guess that's how they keep it competitive priced.
We're interested in moving forward with ATRIO at other locations and our past experiences have proven that it'll be a good move.

I have been in Hospitality for over 30 years and have worked with many different products and systems in my day. I must say that Atrio is perhaps the easiest and most user friendly out there at this time. Clearly the system is new and continues to grow so there are some limitations but the best part of that is when you run across one, simply go to the forum and let the folks know! If enough people share the issue, it will be corrected, quickly! Would highly recommend this product to anyone who asks!
