AWMS

In Electrolux, we use AWMS to digitally plan blue collars in their daily activities by using only one tool which gathers all data we need such as skills levels and physical limitations. By planning the right person at the right place, we can daily reduce the risk exposure of each employee and improve the qualitative standard. AWMS allows us to collect data about workers, in conformity with the policy about privacy, to preserve data throughout time.

PROS

AWMS is intuitive, and it makes team leaders autonomous in managing unexpected events and time out. It reduces the time we spend planning blue collars by about 75% and it makes the internal communication better and real-time. The customer support is deeply professional as well.

CONS

I think that there are just a few problems with the software, if we consider how much big the plant is. I can only say it could be smarter to use than now in some functionalities.

The right people in the right place respecting skills and limits

It has simply enabled our organization to make a breakthrough in people management. Transparency, manual activity reduction, full tracking of the workstations occupied by each employee, more efficient allocation of the resources, respect for limits

PROS

AWMS is the solution we adopted in 7 of our plants in Electrolux for smart planning and management of blue collars along the production lines according to the skills and the physical limitations of each one. We can plan the team's work with a time saving of about 80% twice a day, every day. The software is part of our Digital Transformation project, and it collects data from different sources like time clocks and the medical database. It uses this data to plan the right person in the right place at the right moment and safely.

CONS

The software is clearly still young and needs work on the optimization of some basic features and improvement in the user experience

OVERALL: The use of AWMS in Zoppas Industries allowed us to put people at the centre of our Industry 4.0 project. In the plant, we use AWMS to digitally plan blue collars along the production lines to put the right person at the proper activity. The software helps us to have a wide overview of how many people are available and how many we can employ during the day.

Excellent digital solution

In NPE, we chose AWMS as the partner that could support us throughout the last growth of the company. The software allowed us to grow the business up by keeping our most important resource, people, at the center. As HR Manager, I daily use AWMS to manage our 350 employees easily and efficiently. The digital skill matrix allows us to monitor the level of employees’ competencies so that we can improve the versatility of blue collars to reduce the skill gaps. AWMS makes us more compliant as it helps us plan the tight people at the right place according to her physical limitations. AWMS makes my job easier since it daily updates the skill matrix according to the time spent by each employee at each work station.

PROS

AWMS guarantees our employees that they are planned in safety and transparency. By doing this, we improve the employee satisfaction of our colleagues as well. In addition, since you get acquainted with the software, it is really intuitive.

CONS

I have nothing negative to report. The AWMS team is competent and really smart. It is able to satisfy every need

Tutto in uno!

Grazie ad AWMS abbiamo potuto estendere un progetto pilota di polivalenza a tutti i plant Italia in modo strutturato e omogeneo.

PROS

L'integrazione con altri software e la facilità d'uso sono fattori molto apprezzati. La visione ad ampio spettro delle risorse, la gestione delle skill matrix e la condivisione e trasversalità delle informazioni, consentono di effettuare scelte in modo oggettivo, efficace e rapido. Gestione delle risorse e miglioramenti in molti aspetti di "health and safety policy".

CONS

La piattaforma di base soddisfa buona parte delle esigenze, ma è necessario e da mettere in conto una cospicua opera di customizzazione per avere la versione cucita ad hoc sulla propria realtà operativa. Nella fase iniziale occorre un forte e continuo commitment da parte del PM e del team.
