Great training!

Really bad
Negative experience, for something that should be so simple, I found it incredibly time consuming and difficult to use adding to our already busy workload!
PROSPicture recognition for staff sign in was cool. It has a lot of potential
CONSLots, it was incredibly hard to set up a simple roster using their program If someone missed a sign in or sign out it was really hard to edit to their correct hours When adding annual leave it kept doubling up on their hours, example, I would add 7.5 hours annual leave and it would appear on Definitiv as 15 hours Hard to edit timesheets and rosters

Head office decided it had better data so we trialed it but ended up going back to Wageloch

So Many Options!
So far it's been great.
PROSIt's so customisable. I love the reporting centre, and the date driven nature means I can track all changes over time.
CONSWould love the option for a separate approver for leave requests and timesheets. Our business has different approvers for timesheets to those who approve leave, so we've had to allocate all approvals to one person (timesheet approver), and continue with our manual leave request process.
Reasons for switching to Definitiv
Our old system would only capture timesheet data, but not process pay runs or STP, so we were importing into a second system to process the actual pays.

Please see below some more information from our team regarding backups: If a backup and restore is required this can be done by simply logging a ticket to the friendly customer support team which will go through to our development team to create a backup restore. This should only occur on very rare or catastrophic occasions in a production environment, but can be done at any time in a test environment. As this is done in the code of the product, it has been segregated for a purpose, with the responsibility held within the technical expertise of the business. Unhappy
Implementation person disappeared at a critical time and no response to emails. No phone number to contact for backup support.
PROSRelatively cheap for what it does. Was supposed to integrate Time and Attendance with Payroll and have added HR modules.
CONSUnable to implement in the agreed timeframe. Still unable to go-live after 9 months so ditched the implementation and went elsewhere.

Would love someone at Access/Definitiv Senior Management to contact me to discuss.
Very disappointed. Would like to talk to someone in Senior Management to try and get the outstanding issues resolved. We have been trying to get these issues resolved since go-live over a year ago.
PROSThe system itself is quite easy to use however has not been developed correctly.
CONSCan not get anyone to correct issues with system. Management show interest in helping for a short period and then just disappear - literally don't respond. Still have issues from go live that are not being resolved. Award set up errors that are not being resolved.

Because they were local, promised to meet face to face yet after many requests this has still not happened.

CONSImplementation response can be better especially on the access to shared point. Not e-guides provided even after training sessions.
