FUNCTIONALITY

Reviewed June 2023

Faulty product in < 30 days. Next Gen requires a new purchase rather than replace. NO WARRANTY.

Faulty device. Didn't work right out of the box, some glitchy function, then went kaput. That was the 1st month. The company was unable to fix it remotely (with LOTS of my time), and requested I send it at my own expense to India. They are not a US based company, even though they are listed as such. Lastly, when I requested either a replacement unit or a refund, I was told I could buy a new unit, or send the newly purchased unit in for repair, but there was no further warranty "because it worked at one time". Fool me once, shame on me. They won't fool me twice. Don't let them fool you too.

PROS

I liked the idea that biometric clocking in and out would be very simple and easy, as well as trackable with web access.

CONS

The unit took a few clock ins and clock outs (not accurate for even a full day's worth of EE entries), and then stopped working altogether (but appeared to work to EEs- no data transfer to website). The company's response was to send the unit to India at my cost for repair or buy a new unit altogether because it did work at one time (and never fully functional in those 2 weeks!). I was flabbergasted that spending > $500 for the device gave me a faulty device that they did not stand behind, and customer service included the same requests over and over (which I did to assist in repairing the device on my end) which resulted in no change. I have spent more time myself with this time clock in the last 6 weeks without any change, no resolution, and certainly no functioning unit, or refund.

Reason for choosing NextGen WorkForce

I liked the idea that it was a one time purchase, and the web application use was included vs a monthly fee. That ended up being a very poor and expensive decision.
