  • Pros

  • A solid A. The dashboard provides everything I need and after a few trips through the functions I use, they became second nature. Most important is the superb customer service.
  • He dedicated the time and attention to hear our needs and we are grateful for his help.
  • I am very pleased with Clio and what it has done for our office. Like I mentioned above, Clio has stream lined our workflow in our office to ensure better use of time and retention of documentation.
  • Cons

  • Clio then relies on its customers to "trouble shoot" the new problems, even when they can duplicate the problem on their end. This shows a complete lack of respect for the customer's time.
  • You will never be able to speak with a supervisor. I was extremely displeased with the service and tried cancelling the service a few days after, and they refused to give me a refund.
  • Clio support confirmed that there is no way to stop this function. The search functions are terrible.

  • Easy to use, easy to implement. Customer service is excellent they are always willing to improve their product and help with issues and questions.
  • Smokeball has been an excellent practice management program for us, and their staff are prompt and helpful in helping with our needs.
  • The billing features are what I like most as the the firm admin. It is extremely user friendly and helps me to stay on top of our accounts receivable.
  • Cons

  • It's difficult to switch from Plaintiff to Defendant if you open a case the wrong way, especially if you already have a lot of information in the case.
  • They also lack CRM functionality that many other providers are offering. Their closed API also makes it difficult to integrate with other software providers.
  • No sales tax calculation makes me unable to use the billing feature.
