great value and functionality
love it, excited to keep learning how to maximize its use.
PROSeasy to set up and scale. easy to use and effective at matter management and client management. potential for additional functionality.
CONSsome aspects are more complicated than necessary, for example setting up new matters for existing clients. the one suggestion i have is, the service seems to have been created with litigation and certain other specific areas of law in mind, wherewas i dont know why that is necessary - the service is flexible enough that we can name fields as we like, and that is very useful, but not all law firms do the specific types of laws that you have built into the initial core. so my recommendation would be to make it more agnostic and let the law firms define what the legal fields are.

Thread in our office
It helps running the office to the extent that I cannot imagine running without it. We survived COVID lock-downs thanks to the fact that we introduced Thread in time before it happened. That's how good it is.
PROSI like the it seamlessly works with the Office package, how it picks up emails from Outlook and produces Word documents. I very much like the way it creates booklets / bundles. It certainly helps to have a responsive team of developers on the other end who listen to your suggestions. The phone messages, the office documents circulation and so on are very much improved thanks to Thread.
CONSThere are some functionalities that do not work the way I would like, e.g. Tasks or Scanned Items.

The previous product was simply outdated.

generally good. Did not get fully onboarded
PROSbased on office 365 and we are a Microsoft shop
CONSStill in development. Needs a better interface fore ios or android use on cell phone as we use phone a lot for to check or add to calendar and contacts

time matters went downhill after Lexis acquired it and became unreliable

Excellent potential, but not there yet
It has definitely made our job a lot easier in many respects, however it is also very frustrating at times.
PROSCloud-based and integrated with Office 365. Very easy to make templates. Developers are responsive to suggestions and many of ours have been implemented.
CONSIt's not at all intuitive so intensive training is necessary. There are numerous bugs and aspects of it regularly become unusable. Impossible to opt out of some "new features" that don't suit us. Visually it is quite unattractive. No mobile app and its mobile website is very difficult to work with.

Full of information, and very good Customer Service
Overall, it's great. The ease of retrieving information, and adding files, etc makes it worthwhile. It's also very refreshing to know if you have an issue, the response time is so quick and the guys that call are lovely.
PROSThe speed of response if we have any issues. The fact you can also 'personalise' your own Thread screen to suit your own purposes is great.
CONSThe Billing and Costing area is very hard to use properly - it's just not simple enough for us.

There was the option for a weekend 'changeover', so less disruption, and our IT company also put in a good word.

It was generating a few errors, and also because that particular company was changing and will be phasing out it's Case Management system in the future. (We switched from eXpd8 but it wont' let me put it in the bar above!
