It is primarily used by customer service teams, sales teams, and human resources. Lessonly is compatible with mobile devices and tablets, making the system accessible on-the-go.

Lessonly can be customized to match a company’s look by incorpating their logo, colors, and a personalized URL. Users can create unlimited courses and lessons, utlizing text, images, audio, video, and more.

Adding individual learners and groups to specific assignments can be achieved with just a few mouse clicks; through a due date feature, notifications are sent by email to ensure courses are completed in time.

A support team is on hand to help with questions via live chat, email and phone calls during their regular business hours (EST); they also offer implementation services for new clients.

Recommend!

Pros

We use this for most of our employee education pieces & it's easy to use. I particularly like the reminders it sends to alert when you have a lesson due

Cons

It's a bit complex to enter a lesson. Needs easier, walk-through instructions

Selfeducation done easy

Pros

Lessonly simplifies tracking and organizing big volumes of information and makes easy assignments of members with its friendly UI. Perfect for small to mid sized business.

Cons

I haven't found any issues personally, some colleagues however, have shared they've noticed small issues with formatting, but nothing to big.

Great product but very expensive

Pros

The setup is very easy and the UI looks professional and slick.
Building new content is relatively easy to do and to assign to users.
The customer service is generally very good and the service is professional.

Cons

It is very expensive software, and although it is effective - I am not sure the price can be fully justified.
Annoying we have issues assigning some lessons to people - the software seems to have issues with certain email addresses which is unhelpful.

Lessonly makes enablement fun and easy

Lessonly helps our entire team to maintain knowledge levels and quickly disperses new information and teachings.

Pros

I like the intuitiveness of the lessons. Everything is very easy to follow along, even when multiple forms of media are used (i.e - text, video, graphs, etc). I also really like the reminders that my lesson is due ;)

Cons

I had to download a separate app for recording demo's. I wish I could use the tracking/recording software I already use and integrate it with Lessonly.

Good for remote teams onboarding

We started to spend 60%! less time on remote teams onboarding, so it's got easier to adjust out business to changing technology demands.

Pros

Out onboarding plan had been a difficult to manage Excel spreadsheet for a long time.
Eventually, I was able to persuade management to use some more appropriate solution.
We compared Lessonly vs WorkRamp and lessonly was the winner because of more reach features set.
Thanks to feature that allow to track trainers activity, we were able to motivate experienced employees to create a number of training materials (most of people were able to use the app right away, without any training) and reward top performers.

Cons

Some of trainers reported they experienced formatting issues when creating complex training materials.

What did I do with my life before Lessonly?

if you have anyone in your company that's remotely-based, lessonly is a godsend. so easy, very fair pricing, and wonderful support/CSMs. two thumbs up!

Pros

constantly improving (been with them for 1.5 years and they constantly release new features), love that their decisions are research-based and some of their workforce are academics who have studied learning/teaching techniques. SO EASY to just write a lesson... adding people is easy, managing teams is easy (especially with the upgraded version, you can "hide" irrelevant lessons from separate teams). recently improved search and UI of the learning library was much appreciated. you can embed gifs, images, videos, sound clips, etc into lessons to make it as interactive as possible. our CSM is always around to help with 1:1 advice and the general support team is wonderful as well!

Cons

creating and managing tags leaves something to be desired - just not as intuitive as other parts of the platform. otherwise i still yeard for an easier way to manage lessons, something VISUAL like a tree or flowchart to quickly understand what lessons exist under what paths/teams - that's pretty minor though and not nearly a dealbreaker

Amazing product for employees!

Training new hires and tenured employees. Testing employee company/product knowledge.

Pros

I use this product for all my new hires and sometimes tenured employees for additional training. The ability to built lessons within different paths is perfect for staying organized and making many different trainings to use continuously. I love that I am able to track my employee's progress within each path too, as well as the ability to test them on their knowledge.

Cons

The technical aspects of moving lessons from path to path is a bit long and could be made easier, maybe a couple of shortcuts could be made to make it a quicker process.

We use this to share information and tutorials with teams

Pros

Lessonly has been a treat to use. It's simple to follow, and the video feature is awesome! We use Lessonly to send information to not only established team members but also the temporary workers that we bring on during our busiest times. It is an excellent platform for sharing "how to's" and to teach new skills or to brush up on old ones.

Cons

No negative thoughts here. I enjoy using Lessonly, and it's been problem-free. Good job, Lessonly Team!

Lessonly is the least bit boring and makes training interactive!

Pros

My manager was able to add gifts and make the Lessonly trainings very interactive and fund. Also easy to navigate.

Cons

The questions were very easy to answer from a user standpoint. I'm not quite sure how great that is for an admin stand point though.

Lessonly Experience

Great tool for on boarding and introduction for most frequently asked questions for the company.

Pros

Very user friendly and it's easy to complete when it comes to task or assignments to team members. You can also track members who are done with the training or topic uploaded on each profile.

Cons

I can't really say anything negative for this application. I love doing my assignments/trainings here on this platform.

Really clever way to increase team learning!

Pros

I really like how simple they have made the system. It is intuitive and makes it easy to bring teammates in and wards off the "onboarding blues"

Cons

I don't think I can honestly pick out anything that I didn't like. This is a great product that certainly helps bigger companies that are onboarding and training frequently.

Great solution, easy to use and simple UI

Pros

Lessonly makes it easy for me to complete the assignments my administrator send outs, and I love the branded UI.

Cons

Lessonly has been great so far, there isnt anything I would complain about not liking, the UI does have everything centered when I wish it was left.

Great for certain businesses

Pros

This is the future of training teams across the globe. Its a small company and they've released a couple features since I used it. Seems like theyre on top of updates and service

Cons

The customization of quizes and tests can be very very time consuming. It can some times be a bit buggy but not a deal breaker.

Teach yourself 2018

Pros

I love how lessonly simplifies organizing large amounts of information and makes onboarding employees and customers easy and fun!

Cons

Lessonly is not great as database or resource center, especially if you have longer lessons. I'd recommend using a different platform if you want to have easy access to all the information for quick reference.

Lots of functions in a single LMS

Pros

Excellent for small and medium companies, it is a great tool oriented to corporate training, but not so for online institutes or schools,. You can get started very quickly without a huge learning .

Cons

Make sure you have all the content and workflow well organized before using this tool, sometimes it is very difficult to look for information in the LMS, definitely need more customization in terms of formatting the content. They should improve the use of templates.

So great, love love love it

Pros

as a small company they are always striving to improve and impress. couple feature have been released in the ~5 months we've had it, very intuitive and simple to use, the UX/UI is great and the possibilities are endless when creating a lesson. flipcards, embedded content, videos, images, gifs, formatted text, quizzes, etc. the gradebook is wonderful. all smooth sailing so far an a much needed piece of software for *our* growing company while we're scaling and creating more efficiencies. support team is very quick to respond and our CSM is always there to help.

Cons

my only complaints thusfar are very tiny things: every lesson has to be tagged & added to the learning library individually - there is no "bulk" creation template(s), so it's easy for creators to miss something. additionally, once you've got multiple departments in there, the list sort for all your lessons is a bit overwhelming. a more visual tree or chart would help a lot with lesson organization. finally, for employees who get a question wrong on their quiz, the amount of clicking around they have to do to see their feedback is inordinate

Great way to organize training

Pros

Easy to set up lessons, training courses, and user groups to make sure everyone is getting the best training for what they need, and nothing that is irrelevant. Easy to embed videos and training slides.

Cons

Trainings and quizzes lack a lot of customization functionality, but it's not a deal breaker by any means.

Pros

Easy to build additional lessons as needed.. Software is simple for reps to log into and complete the training as required.

Cons

Nothing really. Perhaps the software can add features that provides best in class lessons for users and their customers.
