Support typically answers quickly and resolves any issues we have. I'm in IT, so I don't have a lot of insight to add as far as resident management or billing go. Cons: The security posture is abysmal. I'm not even sure if it's actually HIPAA compliant. SSO is not truly supported, and the default position of ECP is that we should hand out our company passwords to anyone who needs to log in. Backups are typically several days old, and there is no way to trigger an update if we know we will need one ahead of time. The iOS app simply does not work, and even if it did, it doesn't support SSO, once again requiring giving out the company passwords for users to sign in. There's no way to specify a sign-out destination for SSO users. The window interface is weird and off-putting. Why can't it just be normal pages? Reasons for switching to ECP I was not in the deciding committee, but I believe the answer is for billing purposes. Vendor Response Hi Rob, thank you for the detailed feedback. ECP is HIPAA compliant, SOC 2 Type II certified, and hosted on AWS infrastructure that carries HITRUST, ISO 27001, and several other certifications. We're happy to share documentation if that would be helpful. Company login credentials can be saved directly to a device so they never need to be shared with unauthorized users. We also support URL GUID authentication, which is another method to avoid sharing company credentials while still maintaining multiple layers of authentication. Features such as visual cues and color-coded identifiers make the system especially accessible for a variety of learning styles. The customer support team has consistently been exceptional. Questions and support requests submitted through the HELP feature are responded to promptly—often within an hour. Support tickets remain open until the issue has been fully resolved or all questions have been answered, ensuring nothing is overlooked. Every interaction I have had with ECP's customer service team has been professional, courteous, and efficient. Even when an immediate resolution was not possible, they communicated clearly, provided helpful guidance, and always confirmed that no further assistance was needed before closing the ticket. Their commitment to customer service has been consistently outstanding. Cons: Periodic timing out due to inactivity have been noted on a few occasions despite users actively working in ECP within the 2hr timeframe as setup within ECP. Ratings Breakdown 5 Ease of use 5 Value for money 5 Customer support 5 Functionality Pros: ECP is a fairly easy product for documenting care provided and medications for our residents, so it's easy to teach newer staff how to do so. It is easy to add new residents when they are moving in, and create care plans for them. Security settings seem good. When there are issues, the customer support team is easy to contact and they seem very willing to help try to resolve the issues in a timely manner. Cons: Changes are made often, probably trying to improve the product, but along with the changes seem to come glitches at times or parts that stop working until we do a ticket to have it looked at.
