Pros/Cons
  • Pros

  • It's easy to use, easy to upload information, easy to find things again. Especially like things like flags, and the ability to easily see things like insurance cards.
  • Over the last seven years, I've seen a progressive improvement to an already excellent software platform and have considered myself lucky for starting with DrChrono from the beginning.
  • Comprehensive integrated system, allows for efficient patient care. Software support is generally good and responsive.
  • Cons

  • Occasional outages, worsening performance in the live claims feed for billing, and schedule performance issues recently.
  • There is downtime that slows or stops practice up to 15 minutes every 3-12 weeks, which is awful. Support is not readily available as it used to be.
  • Many times we are unable change a patient status from "checked in" to "in room. Nobody realizes the program glitched and the patient complains they were in the room forever.

  • I love how user friendly the software is and that I can access it from anywhere being cloud based. Would recommend this to anyone.
  • Easy to use, complete and perfect for ophthalmology, great connection with the Iris registry, overall perfect.
  • Likewise, integration with equipment was very easy and MDI was able to have a solution for all of my equipment. The technical report is fantastic.
  • Cons

  • The integration with my PM was almost seemless; any small problems that did arise were usually due to my PM.
  • Even after hours, if you have to leave a message at tech suport, a return phone call can be expected usually within 20 minutes.
  • As we are still working from both superbills & EMR, the billing process is a little time-consuming. I am told that the interface w/tablet is much more streamlined, and am lobbying for that.
