In the beginning, it was great and very easy to use. One big reason we chose it was because we could use our own credit card processor, and they even matched our rates. But in the last 2 years, things have gone downhill. Our processing rates have gone up a lot, and now we’re paying over $12,000 more per year in fees. When we tried to switch back to a 3rd party processor, we were told it’s no longer allowed and we would have to change our POS system completely. That’s not the only issue. In last 2 years, we’ve had many problems with the software and credit card processing. About 50% of debit cards don’t go through, so we have to run them as credit, which costs us more. There are also many bugs that haven’t been fixed for over 3 months and other ongoing issues. The POS system itself still works fine for basic use, but overall, the service has gotten worse. Because of this, we’re now looking at other POS options and taking demos.
