Q&A

Good support, only issues is as mentioned above.

PROS

Good UX, mostly clear to use and functional

CONS

Q&A - Intralinks and various other data room operators have the ability to ask questions on behalf of 3rd parties, this is seriously helpful where they need the questions processed quickly or may not yet have full access to the data room. To counter this, I've had to make a fake account on behalf of a 3rd party to process questions in the past, which is an issue. Further, the fact that you need to be a Q&A administrator to see the name of the Question Author is quite ridiculous. For example in a sell-side process where there's more than one potential acquirer in the data room asking questions, unless the sellside client is an admin, i.e. if they are approver or author, they can't see who is asking the question which means it's very difficult to correctly direct an answer. This should be an option which you can enable. The only way around it is by adding a comment when approving and forwarding the question which is very manual and inefficient for the entire process.

Reason for choosing Ansarada

Because the client may have been using Intralinks or have used Intralinks in the past. However, mostly it is quite even and we are asked for quotes from a number of providers. With the issues in Q&A it is sometimes difficult to justify Ansarada over other providers.

VDR review

Good experience on Ansarada staff interaction. Platform is straightforward, but some further optionality would be appreciated on the visuals as described above. Also on the functionalities, think there is room for improvement as mentioned above.

PROS

Thoroughly enjoyed the communication with the help desk chat function. People were eager to help and always found a solution. Understand there were a lot of request on our end, and the Ansarada team kept good performance throughout these issues that surged during our VDR process. Also available and communicative over the phone, which is appreciated.

CONS

I found the general setup structure on the index quite cumbersome. On our end we were trying to have a base unredacted VDR index and another one that was redacted and renamed. Would be helpful to have a staging folder option under the Manage > Documents options on the left hand side of the screen. On another topic, it would also be helpful to have a document counter on the top left of the screen when you select all document within a folder, for instance.

Ansarada Review

Ansarada has provided a great platform for our business in Investment Banking. The great functionality and accessibility makes our jobs much easier and it is definitely my preferred VDR!

PROS

I like the ease of use of the platform. Compared with other VDR's I've used, Ansarada provides the best interface and functionality and is clearly developed with the end-users in mind.

CONS

I think it would be helpful to be able to group Q&A viewers into different teams e.g. FDD, Tax etc. by company) to facilitate sending Q&A responses to only the appropriate team members.

I recently signed up for one more account's storage service offered by Ansarada and I am extremely satisfied with my experience so far. The signup process was quick and easy, and I was able to start uploading my files right away.The user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, making it simple to upload, organize, and access my files from any device with an internet connection. I appreciate the flexibility of being able to access my files from my desktop, laptop, or mobile device, and the automatic syncing ensures that my files are always up to date.Another feature that I appreciate is the security measures that the company has in place to protect my data. With end-to-end encryption, I feel confident that my files are safe and secure, even when stored in the cloud.The pricing plans are reasonable and offer a good amount of storage space for the cost. Its been quite good. It takes a bit of time to get investors on it, but once they are all on it, makes it easier to track questions.

Easy to manage investor questions and allow to upload documents related to the question.It also allows us to allocate specific documents and store them to the related questions

CONS

I think as a first time user, it can be quite hard to grasp everything especially all the high level technical controls.

Largely pretty satisfied Ansarada.

PROS

The ease of use, it is very intuitive. Most of VDR users in Australia have used Ansarada, and hence it is easy to deal with counterparties due to the familiarity

CONS

I think redacting function could be more user friendly. A user can still access and keep the files downloaded although they are no longer in the data room. There should be a security function that controls this

Ansarada Dataroom

I predominantly use Ansarada to assist with M&A processes. Ansarada is particularly helpful during the due diligence phase as well as forming part of the transaction documents as the warranties and indemnities are tied only to what has been provided in the dataroom.

PROS

The encryption abilities of the software. The ability to monitor / restrict exactly what each individual can view and how they can view the information is most helpful.

CONS

The thing I like least about the software is the inability to change an individuals security protocols within the same group. It would be good to be able to monitor an individuals security protocols whilst keeping them within the same investment group.

The Workflow function could be better optimised

PROS

I like the watermarking feature and the level of depth you can go into security settings for individuals users and teams.

CONS

As a smaller M&A advisor, we pretty much exclusively use Ansarda as a VDR for our sell-side clients. The process begins with the buyer (& their DD providers) sending us info request lists. We then upload documents to ansarada and index them according to the IRL. Today, we don't use the workflow function as it seems like an unnecessary step of adding and updating if the buyer can't see it. However, I think we would use it more if it was a buy-side facing function whereby we or the buyer could add their IRL to the workflow. We, as the sell-side, could then populate this with the requested documents - i.e the workflow being the document index.

Ansarada Review

Overall, it is a well written application and is an easy to use one.

PROS

Easy to us, an intuitive and friendly user interface.

CONS

I used Ansarada when I worked on bids. Not sure whether this was an administrator issue or not, however, there was a question that needed to provide an answer for on two different dates. We have found that once the answer to the question was provided for the first time, the second time there was no button to submit the answer available on the page and we had to find a work around to do it.

I would definitely recommend Ansarada! - Senior Associate, Corporate Finance

My overall experience is good. Of course there are still improvement points and some of the issues could be misuse from my side but, in general, I would recommend Ansarada to everyone.

PROS

Ansarada is very easy to use and intuitive. The features I love the most are bulk upload and import folder structure, which saves so much time. I also really appreciate their support whenever you have questions and the security settings, which are very self explanatory.

CONS

The naming of documents could be done better. I personally do not like when I download the document and it comes with the number of the folder/subfolder.Also, everytime I ask clients to upload documents, they do not know how to add it to a folder that is already there and I always need to reclass them. This is something that I have experienced as well, since I don't think it is straightforward.

PROS

Trustworthy brand which provides secure data storage, access control / permissions to the dataroom administrator and logical document management, storage and file sharing. Ansarada also provide very strong customer service and access to the team to troubleshoot any issues

CONS

An app to access the dataroom / settings on the go is something we are looking forward to!
