During this time we have considered other estimating systems and have always stayed with Autobid due to the improvements constantly being made and their great customer service.

Very much user friendly and simple to set-up. As a customer we can do so many projects at one go without any difficulty in handing the clients requirement.

This means if needed I can break-out different values/areas to give a better understanding of where our costs and labor are trending.

The errors are sometimes difficult to fix. Some of the systems that I use everyday didn't come out of the box and it's not that easy to make new systems.

But like just about everything else it's only as good as what has loaded into it and knowledge of the estimator.

It doesn't self update, leaving it open to errors on the price side. No security updates unless they are critical and even then, you have to buy the service pack to complete the security update.

Recent tech support does not have field experience. They tend to just delete problems and not actually fix WHY a problem has occurred.

Get mentoring from a other non-competing company who know the software is a great motivator for improving.

Importing direst from Trimble's Trade Service is great. Cons (continued) I have been using onscreen takeoff programs for about 15 years.

I like the freedom to customize the systems and the smart board feature is fantastic.

The set up as daunting as a plumber from the field. M fine getting the discount in Somewhat of a problem Living in Canada I find there’s issues with the pricing service I have to use.

Depending on what time you ask, it can be either frustrating, incredible, or a combination of the two.

AutoBid has great functionality and has been easy to implement. Ease of reporting at great level has also been an asset to track and cost control.

We got a very nice experience in handling the multiple clients projects at one go. I will definitetly recommend to my healthy customers to use.

The lack of keyboard shortcuts for basic takeoff features. It would really speed up the process.

I liked how the foundations were the same for Autobid mechanical. I started there and then crossed over to autobid sheetmetal and its was a like for like change which was amazing.

Take the time to attend the 3-day training course from Trimble. The session will get you off and running very quickly and will give you many opportunities to bring up specific learning questions.

The audit trail is excellent and allows for effective double checking.

The updates are often are buggy leaving you with unexplained errors. Version 2017 had enough issues that the new 2018v2 version is a stand alone version requiring you to start all over.

My biggest complaint is when I add a new product.
