With them still owing me a module for the website and another for a mod I had to prepay for to get the pricing I did, I walked away and took the loss.

Once I was used to it, I certainly enjoyed the ease of use of the system and the ability to network in our stores from around the country.

Like any major investment, do your homework which if you are on this site you likely are already doing.

Sometimes the program would crash when trying to pull reports and wasn't multifunctional while performing transactions.

The service and post install add-ons that you thought were part of the original deal are really frustrating. Not so much in cost as install delays.

The customization of the pos screen is great. Super easy to navigate and change if need be.

Customer support is expensive amd doesn’t get the issues resolved. Mostly band aids assuming it gets fixed.

To be fair, this issue probably only arose due to the items being entered wrong on our end.

We needed a great web platform, a mail order web interface, and a very robust amazon integration.

It is slightly counter-intuitive when learning how to use the system. At times, it can be confusing why certain actions weren't as easy to un-do or go back.

The Ease of use of the software. It is accessible on multiple devices which is also great.

When it does work there are constant double charges because the app doesn't show the charge went through, even after checking the history so it's run again and then run twice.

Ease of use, portability, web site  is easy to navigate.

I don't like that the hand-entry option is hard to use with a small number pad.

I like that it doesn't use as much paper and gives you the option to email receipts. I like that it has a chip reader, a swipe option, tap option, and hand entry.

Returns/refunds are a complete nightmare. There is no way to do them on the terminal.

Its been excellent and my staff and customers find it very cool to use.

You are not only unable to return individual products but actually have to go look in your history for the original transaction. This is time consuming and and annoying to customers who are waiting.

It's a slow and tedious process. The reports are hard to use and some of them only offer an export option, no printing.

The best thing about the software is the fact it is very simple to use.

To be honest, I really liked my old-fashioned POS terminal better since 90% of what we do is hand-entry.

The screen itself is small, making it a little difficult to do hand-entry quickly. In our office, most clients are calling in with a card number, and this slows us down.

It does not function well for a bar/cafe setting. Too many steps.breaks down at worst possible times.

It was a little difficult to set up the drivers phones.

Vital POS is a cloud-based solution that helps small businesses streamline operations related to inventory management, pricing configuration, tax reporting and payment processing. Administrators can add users, create role-based groups, manage multiple locations, create item categories and configure employee access rights.


Vital POS enables employees to manually add item data, automatically select items from predefined categories, apply discounts, view tax information and process payments via cash transactions or credit cards. The history tab lets staff members access completed orders with details, such as date and time, transaction number, server name and bill total. Additionally, managers can create custom receipt templates, create user PINs, issue refunds, conduct transaction audits and export sales data.
