My institution purchased Altru for its strong philanthropy functions, and required all departments to use it. I use it for scheduling school outreach programs.

From what I can see, this software looks like it could be a great tool for some applications.

The interface is intimidating and confusing for my staff, and requires a lot of training to use.

Overall I am very very happy with Altru and think it is an amazing system.

The financial and revenue setup can be intimidating, since there's a general ledger behind all the sales and revenue transactions.

Altru has a wonderful feature of copying appointments and holding them for you to reschedule. I love how there is a database of clients and you can easily search for them.

I appreciate all of the options and customization that Altru offers. It's great for keeping track of tours, donations, events, ticket sales, etc.

We have been with Altru for over three years and in that time have seen constant improvement and updates to the product. Their support staff is the best I have ever seen with any software company.

If a mistake is made there isn't a way to undo it. Sometimes there are issues with payments when entered and you have to go in and delete the payment type and write it in yourself.

Ease of use for an entry-level user. The system has an incredible ability to capture and relate data.

We now have the ability to get a true look at all the ways our constituents are interacting with our organization.

Altru is not intuitive to use, and was very intimidating for my team.

Because the Altru community is very responsive and the fact that the developers listen to the client's concerns, I am confident that Altru will become greater than it is now.

I think the navigation on Altru can be a bit tricky.

The two main issues I have is there is no exchange process, only a refund with a receipt. That is not exceptable in.

I love the amount that you can do on Altru and that it can all be done in one place.

Altru is direct and straight to the point. It has a places to include a lot of information which can be good for creating thorough profiles.

The canned reports aren't always easy to manipulate when downloaded while the queries can be difficult for those not using them on a regular basis.

For frontline staff, the user interface for ticketing is easy to use and very intuitive. Training staff is so much more pleasant with this software.

We are still learning which is great. The capacity of the system is rich.

I also really am impressed and appreciate the customer support. Since I'm fairly new to Altru, I have a lot of questions.

I enjoy the ability to navigate different ways to get the same result, it helps with training people who learn and think in different patterns.

Completely cloud based, and allows unlimited user licenses at no extra charge, so you can sell tick.

I also don't like how when you check in a group it automatically submits their payment (box is checked automatically). If you don't remember to uncheck it there is no way to undo it.

Sales Orders are too rigid - need to be able to edit and add appeal codes.

Altru is a very detailed system and it covers so many areas that have so many intertwining cogs that it can be difficult to navigate for some users and it can be a bit cumbersome.

I love that Altru is constantly receiving updates and that the customer service team really does listen to feedback from the customers.

There is an article for every problem I could run into. It has been a great experience learning how to use this database and implementing the use of awesome features that we weren't previously using.

My larger frustration is that Blackbaud's teams didn't seem to communicate with each other or take lessons learned when building different products.

I also think the customer service is wonderful and always available - which is great. I also really appreciate that the system is very intuitive.

As I mean it is great for the money if you are looking to have a tool to maintain unlimited accounts, but that is really the only true good aspect of it.

This can be avoided by selling a ticket to any of the events, but happens sometime for us when a program is used to populate an internal calendar.

Some integration with on-line banking is not yet working well. Sometime the processing seems slow but this could be our internet.

It is a great all around management program for any organization.

When pulling results, it only pulls primary information and if the information is not loaded correctly, it can be a problem.

It certainly cuts our time in tracking volunteers, assignments and printing reports. The Volgistics support staff is outstanding.

Some of the things we love about Volgistics is the ability to create our own look and feel in the management system and a linked application to the system.

Probably the most cost effective volunteer management software for the features.

I loved how customizable volgitics was when I was using this software. I could have multiple volunteer assignments open at the same time.

Sometimes it can be confusing to make a change in the setup of what volunteers see or how things function.

Tech support and customer service is top rate.

The scheduling works great, and the whole thing is easy to use. I would recommend Volgistics to any organization who have volunteers.

If you get stuck though. The customer service is second to none.

This software is great for companies or organizations that have to manage a large number of volunteers. You can track and keep statistics on a wide variety of things.

I love all of options that this program provides in terms of scheduling, outreach, and lists.

The price was great for the number of volunteers.

For your long term volunteer management programs, this is a robust tool for a great price. For a one-time event, this is not the best choice.

This is the best software. They are low cost, offer great benefits and the programs does so much.

I have enjoyed working with Volgistics, it's user friendly and intuitively designed for scheduling.

Initial set-up can be a little overwhelming and intimidating, but only because there are so many features and options.

Features and ease of use. It gives us everything we need to track our volunteers.

The database is very easy to use especially after using MS Access for years. It is, for the most part, very intuitive.

I first heard of them at a Volunteer training. The price is amazing and the support I got for set-up and currently learning the system is phenomenal.
