AccuFund is a full-featured accounting and financial reporting solution that was created specifically for the nonprofit industry. Nonprofit organizations and government agencies with multiple funding sources need to report activity in a variety of formats for internal management, external funding sources and volunteer leadership. AccuFund's Accounting Suite provides the comprehensive applications these businesses need, tightly integrated into one complete, affordable solution that's available both on-premise and hosted.
Because AccuFund is created with the familiar, simple Windows interface so the training costs are lower, leading to a lower cost of ownership (TCO). Up-front hardware and software costs can be avoided by using AccuFund Online, which gives businesses access to AccuFund's robust system as an online solution. The system is also extremely scalable and can serve sites that range from a few to hundreds of users.
AccuFund's Core System includes AP, Cash Receipts, GL, Bank Reconciliation, Importing and Exporting, Document Storage, a Financial Report Writer and a Forms Designer for customized form generation. Organizations can add extra modules to suit their individual needs, like Accounts Receivable, HR and Payroll, Purchase Orders, Requisitions, Fixed Assets, Allocations and Grants Management and more. AccuFund also offers F9, which allows users to link Excel spreadsheets to the AccuFund General Ledger.
For nonprofits or government agencies that have extensive, varied reporting, AccuFund is an affordable, flexible solution.

The president of the company came to our office and presented a live demo. They spent sessions going over our questions. They provided good references.
We are still implementing it, so I cannot comment at this moment.
Please look at other accounting software and compare cost, functionality and support services.

A full suite of modules that are very customizable
Very unforgiving of errors and not amenable to certain transactions. For instance, invoice cancellation does not release the receiving. Product returns are not supported; i.e., we cannot do negative receiving to match to credit memos. Check voids cannot be reversed although voided checks occasionally clear.
Make sure that you have a VAR with a deep understanding of the product because you will need that support to program it to your needs.

The flexibility of the chart of accounts, reports, and our reseller all trump the options and support we were previously receiving through QuickBooks.
Working with the database setup has been the biggest challenge in our transition to AccuFund. The AccuFund support team has been helpful, but with our complex SQL database configuration, it has taken a substantial amount of effort.
If you are looking for an all-in-one software package that is a step up from QuickBooks but still within a reasonable price range, then AccuFund is the product for you! Account structure flexibility, reporting, and support - the three main strengths in my opinion.
