Quickbooks Pro Software

QuickBooks Pro is a comprehensive accounting solution designed to cater small and midsize customers. The solution offers robust functionalities of a core accounting software application, including account payable & receivable, project accounting, expense management and payroll management, all within a single integrated suite.

With 'Bank Account Reconciliation' feature, users can link their bank accounts and define workflows for the accounting activities. This allows users to make automated payments and deposits from their linked bank account and also manage the employee payrolls via a single application.

QuickBooks Pro also helps to automate the billing and invoicing process and work order management from a single reconciliation window. Users can sync, link and import data from other integrated applications, such as PayPal, American Express and Square. All the transactions are automatically categorized to record monthly expenses and earnings.

Quickbooks Pro can be installed both on-premises and in the cloud. Users can also download QuickBooks mobile app available for iOS and Android devices to access information on the go.

Pros

Quickbooks pro 2016, has been very user friendly, and very adaptable as we where able to link our Pos software to it.

Pros

It is a very cost effective product and pretty easy to use. Also it doesn't require an upgrade every year, which is very good.

Cons

I wish when I change an account name, the account name changes as of that date instead of being able to keep only one name.

The software is very easy to use and has a lot of features all in one program. And they are constantly updating the software.

Cons

I wish that it had some kind of Job Scheduling feature for the service industry. I would like there to be more mobile features available.

The best software to learn with

Pros

Its easy to use software and the layout of the software made it easy for me to learn how to use with some help from someone who already used QuickBooks. I am now running a small business with no accounting degree and doing great.

Cons

Since the QuickBooks company assumes most people have gotten a monthly subscription to the software instead of bought the desktop product, all of the online help is geared towards the online product not the desktop. It is rather difficult to find help with small things online.

I love this program and use it for all business accounting.

Pros

I have used it very simply for some businesses, more complex for others. It is diverse, but is very easy to use.

Cons

When using classes, I cannot do a month-by-month comparison. However, I have found work around that have been successful.

For the smaller organization who is not concerned with rigor in their accounting operation, Quick Books Pro works very well.

Pros

This is incredibly easy to learn and use without any formal background in accounting or bookkeeping. Many small businesses like it because they can use a family member or friend to keep books even when that person knows nothing of accounting. There are a variety of reports on a wide variety of accounting topics..

Cons

The software allows you to do things that an accounting system should never permit. For example, you can correct the transaction that's been posted by simply deleting it thereby losing all of your trails as to what happened in the business. I've worked with a lot of small businesses that didn't care about that until something went wrong and they had no knowledge of what was going on. The proprietary database makes integrations unreasonably difficult. Finally, there is limited ability to create custom reports such as exporting to a workbook based software that would allow customization on the fly. Accounting functions such as recurring revenue and management of deferred revenue require maintaining the detail outside Quick Books. Finally, the inventory management system is clunky and unreliable.

Very good software and is very easy to learn and use

Pros

User friendly and it is very easy to enact with other software systems and with banks. Financial presentation is outstanding. It is very easy to drill down to find original source and/or problem

Cons

some times we would run into problems trying to use QB for inventory solutions. Many times when calling for assistance the customer service rep did not have a keen accounting knowledge.

Pros

The product seems to be ubiquitous. Many modules available through other suppliers and third party help appears to be abundant.

Cons

Non intuitive. The Mac version, as usual, appears to be a scaled-back skeletal version of the Windows version.

I own The 2015 enterprise only version of enterpris that you would let me buy but all my data is on 17

Pros

This product is fabulous, it does almost anything you could ask for an accounting software, The support is amazing but the Enterprise Support is closed on weekends

Cons

The software is excellent and the support is excellent it's just my business is suffering right now, I'm trying to recover from financial problems and can't afford it at the moment, I have used it since 1982 The software is excellent it's just my business is suffering trying to re-open right now. The only thing I have need of is to be able to use it without the Internet for a time on the mission field And it shuts down after 14 days without Internet

I took over a position doing the books for a not for profit. I had no Quick Books experience but had used Quicken. It was very easy to get up and running and doing the basic accounting functions that I needed. I am very satisfied with the software and support.

Pros

I like how intuitive the software is. It is fairly easy to find what you need and if you can't find it the customer support has been very helpful.

Cons

Generating custom reports is not as straight forward as other aspects of the system. I am sure if I spend more time or query support about what I am looking for I will overcome this issue.

We had an accountant volunteer to help us with our accounting. QuickBooks had originally been set up too simplistically. Our volunteer went overboard in the other direction. Our nonprofit school might well be better served by a product specifically designed for our type of organization.

Pros

Has a very deep feature set. For someone who is fully acquainted with the product and its features it can jump through hoops.

Cons

Can grow seriously complicated. Requires a database mentality to operate well. Not terribly easy to learn with so many features to sift through.

Pros

Simple to use. Can easily add wage type, deductions and other changes to the EE or when running payroll.

Cons

Reports could be improved. I would like to see reports for employees that can be modified to run to show hire dates and other ad hoc data.
