Quickbooks Pro Software

QuickBooks Pro is a comprehensive accounting solution designed to cater small and midsize customers. The solution offers robust functionalities of a core accounting software application, including account payable & receivable, project accounting, expense management and payroll management, all within a single integrated suite.

With 'Bank Account Reconciliation' feature, users can link their bank accounts and define workflows for the accounting activities. This allows users to make automated payments and deposits from their linked bank account and also manage the employee payrolls via a single application.

QuickBooks Pro also helps to automate the billing and invoicing process and work order management from a single reconciliation window. Users can sync, link and import data from other integrated applications, such as PayPal, American Express and Square. All the transactions are automatically categorized to record monthly expenses and earnings.

Quickbooks Pro can be installed both on-premises and in the cloud. Users can also download QuickBooks mobile app available for iOS and Android devices to access information on the go.

Will continue to use QB to do payroll for my existing clients, but will need to upgrade to a Payroll only software which would give me more flexibility.

Pros

Allows me to do unlimited number of employees for my payroll business.
Also using it to do bookkeeping for several clients.

Cons

Haven't figured out what I will do when I reach 51 clients, as it will only allow me to have 50 EIN's in the system.
Would like to see better scheduling tasks for ALL my companies on 1 page.

Pros

Easy to use, easy to learn, easy to teach. This is great for smaller, start up companies or companies with not much activity in their account.

Cons

Once a business begins to grow, things need to be automated and be run directly from the system. QuickBooks does not allow much of this. We do many things manually rather and it takes time.

I really like it's convenience.

Pros

It's easier than some other software to learn/teach on. It's relatively straight forward and keeps books readable and organized.

Cons

In my opinion, it's not suited for a company that has an extensive inventory, the software lacks the ability to keep inventory and pull from it as well as reconciling it at month end,

Value for Money

Pros

Except for reports, this is an easy platform to use. The assisted payroll has been very useful. Invoicing is seamless.

Cons

QB needs another customizable timesheet other than the standard one provided. The inability to create reports that are customized to my industry. A window pops up when we are taking customer payments, that wants you to log in to quickbooks payments. Also, very important, the most of the reports don't have totals. Often this makes the reports unusable. Also, I need to be able to provide a two page invoice, which at this time is not possible.

Value for Money

Despite the drawback mentioned, QB has so much functionality for the price that, if there's another program that even comes close in value, I don't know about it. It is adaptable to a wide range of organizations. Additionally, because it is so ubiquitous, there are a lot of resources available to enable the user to get the most productivity out of this dynamo program.

Pros

QB is a comprehensive financial program with a high degree of flexibility. It has a wide array of standard reports, which are easily customized. Data from external programs can be imported into QB via Excel. The capacity (of vendors, customers, G/L accounts, companies etc), is high enough that it's never been an issue for me. It's fairly user friendly to someone with at least a basic accounting background. Non-accountants can be easily trained in specific aspects of the program.

Cons

The high degree of flexbility mentioned above is a double-edged sword -- it means that data can be easily deleted, changed, etc, thereby potentially comprising data integrity. For this reason, the program must be overseen and monitored by someone with a comprehensive understanding of the data risks involved. Therefore, QB is more suited to to an environment with fewer users who are well-supervised.

Pros

How you can get various reports and can search the whole program for a number, name or whatever key identifying factor in order to locate a list of all transactions, deposits, payments, etc....made for a vendor, customer or what have you.

Cons

The fact that you have to sometimes play around with the reports to get the exact information you are searching for all on one page (or more). I wish the reports were described in more generalized terms to find easier.

I really love this program, it is a great accounting tool. I use it at home as well.

Pros

Ease of use and set up a new company. All aspects of the program are user friendly and forgivable; meaning you may edit entries without much fuss.

Cons

The audit reports are not the best for checks and balances. Structuring a report has a bit of a challenge to it, but the options are there. I am not sure if it would be suitable for a larger company (I used it with a 200 employee or less)

Great financial, accounting software for small businesses.

Pros

Very easy to use even for non-accountants. All the needed reports to run your business from budgeting through financial reporting. Everything we need at a decent, reasonable cost.

Cons

Required to upgrade every so often in order to continue using payroll service. Not that big of a deal but prefer to upgrade on our terms.

It is easy to use. You an use it like a check book and also do more with it if you want. It has helped us with our business.

Cons

I do not like to pay more to find out and understand all this software can do. Would like to see some of the information they want to have you go to the classes on in a cd format for free. The more people know how to use this to it's fullest the more people they will tell about it.

Cons

Have used product for 25 years with many versions don't like customer support for questions the people are hard to understand due to their english language. I don't like being hooked for updated versions every 3-4 years. Othewise not to many issues for me because I have used the product for so many years
