BigContacts Software


 

BigContacts provides a cloud-based customer relationship management (CRM) and marketing system designed especially for small businesses to establish and nurture leads through the sales process. Information is stored in the cloud and accessed through a web-browser.

Contact information for prospects is visible with comments and links to their social media pages and accounts can be setup and imported in less than one hour. Members of the sales team can record phone calls, send emails, and complete other tasks with a single click. All email correspondence, meetings, and updated opportunities are all included within the contact history. BigContacts also alerts users when specific emails are opened.

The built-in scheduler lists all meetings and tasks and can be sorted by the day, week, or month. Each event links to the contact’s information page. Any tasks that may not have a particular time set are stored in the user’s to-do list.

This program is very unreliable and buggy

I tried to use this program to track real estate leads. It was very time consuming to enter the information because they have crammed too much information on the contacts page so you are constantly scrolling. Next, the program had a problem and stopped showing all of my contacts. It would only show the first 25. This was complicated by the fact that it would duplicate and sometimes triple an individual contact for no reason. Finally, when the add contact page stopped opening, I gave up. Now all 68 of my new contacts are gone. Thanks but no thanks to Big Contacts.

Advice to Others

Stay away. It was a waste of time using this program.

Recommendations

Use the free trial. Be prepared to spend time testing the system in a "live" environment. Be willing to change things. Ask the vendor for help as most are very willing to assist.

This is the first time our real estate office has used Big Contacts. We have 11 agents and all of them were able to learn how to navigate and use the program very easily. It is used daily by all of us and we love it. It has been a huge plus to us to manage everyone's contacts.

Recommendations

I currently don't use big contacts but when I did I thought the restrictions on how many contacts I can have were low and some of the integrations into other platforms were lacking.

Recommendations

I have not used this CRM for a few years because I am using something that ties into my gmail acct seamlessly and my staff was able to get accustomed to it pretty fast.

There are actually two things that I love most about BigContacts:

1. The autopilot function. I like knowing that each new consultant or lead is getting the same information each time. I don't have to wonder if I remembered to send them something or think about where I saved the file to send them.

2. Daily Task. It really is my second brain. I can step away for a couple of days and know exactly what I need to do when I sit down at my desk. Nothing falls between the cracks since I have started using BigContacts.

Pulling reports could be a little easier, but it could be user error. I might just need to get more training in this area. I really don't have any complaints about BigContacts.

Recommendations

You have to be dedicated in the beginning and really give it time to work. You have to do a little work upfront, but it will save you so much time in the end.

It's web-deliverable, so you can access BigContacts from any internet connection anywhere. It has a plug-n-play learning curve, and the top-shelf features at a bargain price.

I compared it to Salesforce.com and other similar websites, but dollar for dollar, not only was BigContacts the best value, it did the job. We update client profiles after every contact, and we send emails and mass mail all with BigContacts from any internet connection.

I can attach files, photos of clients, or important documents taken with an iPhone when out of the office, and it allows you to track and keep notes about discussions, meetings, documents sent and received. Anything pertaining to the client is there at the click of a mouse.

I've use BigContacts for eight years (since 2006). I converted from a PC-based ACT! system that I had customized extensively. The web-based CRM was ahead of its time back then and has kept pace with competitors since.

BigContacts had all the features of a more expensive site like Saleforce.com without the huge cost. Add to that, it's easy to train new employees on BigContacts, which allows them to efficiently support you and the clients sooner. BigContacts.com has been a great complement to keeping my business organized, tracked, and streamlined.

I've been using BC@ for 2 years. it was kind of clunky. To move from one file to the next you has to refresh or go back to the master lisst. They recently added a TASKS taab so you can skip this step.

BC3 is a smooth experience. It is easy to glide from task to task. Occasionally the customer page where you enter results reverts back to a DOS style screen, which then requires me to restar the computer. This is the only flaw.

Big Contacts allows me to keep tabs on all aspects of my client relationships and does so in an easy-to-learn manner. That allowed me to convince my colleagues to embrace using it throughout our team and the learning process was painless.
I particularly enjoy the level of customization available and use this to create reports that are very useful to me. The summary page in contact view of a business is comprehensive and very helpful to have open when meeting or talking with a client.
The Big Contacts Support Team has always been very prompt and thorough whenever I have had a question. I enthusiastically endorse this product and company!

Steps for setting up things are pretty cumbersome. I really don't use it much anymore as everything I want is some additional expense (spell check used to be an "add -on" now email confirmation is). We use an event software that is much more responsive, flexible and easy to use and all-inclusive. BigContacts stores the data and lets me send emails. That's about it - ps lots of emails in the history have been lost over time. I just stick with it because all my data is there now....

Make it more all- inclusive. Connect with other email programs like Constant Contact. Simplify the set up a bit so you can see more data and it's not so cumbersome.

I love the ease of adding contacts. I wish there was an easier way for group emails, you should be able to just get an email report without getting everyone. Also it tells you an email may be wrong but you have no way of knowing which one it is. Other than that I love the program. Templates are so easy to make and use.

I have been with my director sales company for over 6 years, and a leader for 5 of those. While I LOVE creating systems, and using them, paper just wasn't working for me, and I was inconsistent, and drowning, trying to keep up with my customers, hostesses, and my team. In February, I decided to "try" big contacts for 3 months, with the agreement of my husband that if we didn't see significant improvement, I would stop using it. Just TWO months in, and I earned my highest commission check ever! I have systems for everything now, and nothing gets lost because I didn't open my planner! I am in front of my computer daily, so all it takes is logging in, and working down my task list. I have referred many people to BigContacts, and they all thank me profusely after using it!

BC is easy to use, however there are many times that it lags. While inputting another a new client, the screens don't always change with the tabs, then you have to close it out and restart it. Other times while entering in addional information the system lags. As far as the way the program is set up, that part is easy to use and understand.

I've yet to find ONE tool that does everything I need. I've given up trying. Big Contact does a better job at handling most of my data. I still rely heavily on a variety of spreadsheets, but this is a great component of a larger system.

I've found their customer service to be far superior to any other team. Easy to reach, knowledgeable and helpful.

A silly gripe...but I need to be able to copy & paste the client data into another software application. As it stands now I get the google maps logo in my cut & paste & it really screws up the fomatting, etc in the other applications!!1

Sadly, I don't think any software meets the all the needs of any business. But this tool is flexible enough that it makes a nice team player as a part of a larger system.

I love BigContacts! I work for a local franchise of an International Real Estate Brokerage, and I use the system as a hybrid CRM/ATS. It's great because there is currently nothing on the market that is designed specifically for what I use, and BigContacts lets me completely customize the system to meet my needs. They recently updated a lot of the functionality, and it runs a lot smoother and looks much cleaner.

My company has been using Big Contacts for a little over a year now. Since they released the new updated version for beta testing, I have shared it with my coworkers and they are all excited to use the new version. We are able to keep track of customer calls, notes and important information. It is a user friendly interface and is very useful when communicating with my coworkers about clients. We are glad to use Big Contacts and will continue to use it! I will also use it when I open my own business very soon. Thank you!

I currently continue to use 2.0 Big Contacts as the 3.0 version will not allow me to add an additional address under an existing contact. It also won't allow me to add the address under a new contact. This is a function that we must have in order to use the system. I will continue to use the 2.0 version as this gives me the options that I need.
