It's possible that I may have selected the incorrect product for my needs. Now there is too much time invested in the data to change to a new software.

Pros

The reminder notifications and notes from each contact point. Multiple product pipelines are an attractive option.

Cons

How prospects move through the pipelines. The process is not intuitive and is rather clunky. Also, that screen is inordinately large. A smaller screen might make it more practical.

Great Free CRM Tool

Overall, great software.

Pros

HubSpot is great mostly because it's free, and it's an efficient way to track your business' leads and clients. You can import from already established lists, and then add in new customers one by one. You track your status of leads from initial contact to closing or losing the deal, and can track every bit of communication throughout the process so it's all in one place.

Cons

HubSpot has some limitations on its capabilities as far as not being the most robust CRM tool you could wish for. However, with the free price tag, it's hard to complain.

Using Hubspot to track physician marketing & referrals

Ease-of-use

Functionality

Product Quality

Customer Support

Value for Money

We are trying to adapt this product to track physicians & physician practices. We are using the free version in an attempt to create a case for using the purchased product. Unfortunately, this results in some lower rating for hubspot, because it's not really doing what we need it to do. Products made specifically for use in the medical service field with physicians are prohibitively priced for a small company such as ours.

Pros

Online, available anywhere internet is available. Apps for android & ipad. Lots of fields to build a robust client database.

Cons

We are a healthcare service. We receive patients through physician referral. This is not really sales, so many of the tools are not relevant. We don't have a sales cycle.

Great software for sales team. Easy to use, data entry is minimal creating a higher adoption rate among users.

Pros

User interface is very simplistic. Graphics showing where prospects are in the sales cycle is great. Minimal data entry, creating higher adoption rates. Dashboard great reminder of the sales cycle.

Cons

Exporting info is a bit cumbersome. Would like to see phone number on the initial contact list screen without diving into each contact.

Pros

This CRM is easy to use and comes with lots of robust personalization features. Email marketing capabilities are great as well.

Cons

The initial setup and configuration is a bit cumbersome and requires experts. Once things have been setup and you have your templates to work with it's easy to use, though. I would like some more robust A/B testing and segmentation options.

Cons

To have more useful features, the integration with Hubspot Marketing and the reporting platform is incredibly pricey in relation with the CRM cost. For medium to large businesses, it is cheap. For the small business, to pay almost $800 a month is too much.

A customer representative had to call me today (after a couple months of using the CRM) and she was more so just asking about how the product was working for us and if I had any questions. Nothing pushy and just nice to talk to. When I was looking into integrating a CRM for my staff I'd get calls every day from other systems and it turned me away so quick. So it was a nice change of pace

Pros

Freemium, very user friendly, easy how to videos, great community to help with any questions. Easy to integrate with other applications, customizable,

Keep up the great work! We'll continue to use it.

Pros

I love how simplistic this CRM is to use. I've done research on many others and HubSpot instantly felt like a great fit for what our company was trying to do. It doesn't hurt that it's free for the basic features either. It's great for small companies like mine with 7 total employees. We don't need all the bells and whistles, however, it's great that you do offer additional features for an extra fee. I'm glad that I chose HubSpot CRM.

Hubspot Sales provides the functionality to manage your accounts in a lean time saving way. I really like the fact that I can create contacts, record where we are in the sales process and filter that in the homepage to save time and increase productivity. I also enjoy the fact that I can go through the certifications which help me manage my contacts better.

Pros

It talks with other parts of the system, meaning that if I create a client and it has a corporate email, it links to the other clients within that email.

Cons

It is not as intuitive as I wished. The certifications help if I have the time to make them.

Likes Best

The ability to track leads, leave notes and share with others in the organization, email history, and visibility to whether emails are being read. I also love the integration with Google/Gmail.

Likes Least

I don't think the UI is completely intuitive. I am probably not using the software to its fullest capacity because I haven't figured out how to use all of the features. We are in the education industry, so I don't know that all of the fields are completely relevant.

Recommendations

Ensure that the administrator for your company has a full understanding of your CRM needs and sets up hubspot fields properly. It's also very important that they understand all the workflows up front. I'm sure our set up is a bit dodgy which affects the perceived ease of use and functionality.

It makes my life easier and helps me keep track of my clients and projects.

Pros

It makes sense to me, perhaps because HubSpot understands inbound marketing. It is created in a way that is logical and easy to use.

Cons

When I eventually move over to a paid plan, I am not looking forward to the huge price jump. HubSpot is not cheap. They provide great solutions, but their prices are not really aimed at the small business owner.

Pros

The best things about HubSpot CRM are that it offers everything that most businesses need in a CRM (even better than many paid providers) and that it's all completely free. There are no upgrades for the CRM functionality to buy, you have access to everything right from the start! The interface is slick and smooth, the self-learning how to manage the system is a breeze. It also has pretty nice Gmail and browser integrations.

Cons

Sometimes it's just a little bit too simple. While in some ways (like which fields are available) you can customize the product a lot, in other areas it may be harder (or potentially impossible) to customize or may be tied in with a different HubSpot tool that you WOULD have to pay for to utilize. But it works so well out of the box that I see this as only a minor downside. Almost everything I've wanted to do has been possible.

Integration with most other CRMs is super easy. This is definitely a tool designed for companies who are advocates of inbound marketing. For us, we use a dedicated CRM tool that is more focused on active customer/prospect engagement.

Cons

The CRM itself is pretty lightweight relative to other CRM options. But that's more because the model is more focused on inbound marketing. If you're a Sales-driven company, this is not the tool for you.

Pros

I was tasked with kicking off our sales process and investigate various sales intelligence tools including a CRM. Being a prior SF user and familiar with their platform, I figured we would settle on their product. After mulling the idea, I began looking for a more "comprehensive" system that would provide more features without the need for additional add-ons. Being familiar with Hubspot and their marketing suite I was pleasantly surprised to learn they offered a free CRM as well. Because it was free I almost wrote it off thinking there was a catch but after seeing all it provided I couldn't resist giving it a try. In short, AMAZING! Not only was the UI easy to learn, we able to sync our outbound emails to automatically create new contacts based on the recipients domain. The included email tracking feature (sidekick) and customized follow up alerts have helped boost our productive 10x. It has been a while since we started using Hubspots CRM and I see no reason to go anywhere else.

Cons

Aside from the limited "opened" notifications from the tracked emails, this CRM is pretty versatile. The inability to integrate with our PBX phone system was a bummer but not deal breaker. All-in-all, this is perfect starter CRM or even one for the long haul.

Managing contacts and business development.

Pros

It's free (for the amount I use it), really easy to use and helps me keep track of who I need to be calling or emailing and when. Before I was getting caught up delivering projects and forgetting to nurture leads, which meant I was getting real peaks and troughs of work. When doing a lot of networking and sales calls I found it hard to remember exactly what had been said in the last conversation with a contact and was always having to flip through my notebook. Now I can easily remind myself and the structure of it encourages me to think about the next steps.

Cons

I can't really think of much I would change. I wish my website was based on Wordpress so I could make more use of the functionality it offers from a marketing point of view.

I'd like to be able to run reports to pull out any contacts I haven't been in touch with for say 6 months - although perhaps it does this and I just haven't discovered that functionality yet.

I also love the social media integration tool. I can set up my weekly posts in a few minutes, and forget about them.

Cons

Not a fan of having to move a new image manually up the list in the gallery navigation in order to have it show first.
