Recommendations

Unless you have a dedicated person or a great deal of time to commit to learning the complete program, set up campaigns (some for additional purchase), and perform daily maintenance and building out, this may not be the software for you. Don't jump on any deals you find at seminars until you have the time and resources to see this through.

You need to know that you must have your collateral already created and in an accessible place. If you start a white paper campaign already, have the white paper written. Otherwise, all the training will end, and you won't have anything done. The subscription is a lot of money, and it's a complete waste if you don't have collateral to send out.

It takes a bit of time and commitment to get the best out of InfusionSoft.

We have become more creative and cost-effective with our sales strategy within just 6 months of working with InfusionSoft. The Sales Automation feature, with its campaign building facility, not only makes sales efficient, but it's also a fun way to build the structures themselves.

The support desk is the Icing! What I like the best about InfusionSoft over any other supplier we use is its amount of support via the training hub and the superb help desk.

In the early months of having InfusionSoft it can become a little overwhelming. Perhaps more included support in the first two months as opposed to having to pay extra for it would have made for a better experience.

Should name it ConfusionSoft

It's user-friendly after the learning curve. It is not designed for Real Estate and tracking properly after the sale. For example, you cannot not track a customer having more than one property.

Functionality

It doesn't meet my needs, as it didn't do several basic things needed for real estate. Again, it's designed for traditional businesses selling products on the internet, not real estate.

Product Quality

It does some basic functions, but it's not thought out for real estate. For the NADA add-on, we spent numerous hours fixing and solving their problems, and we still had to pay each month. NADA should have paid us or at least not charged us until they had the add-on system 100%

Their customer support is pretty good.

It's designed more for websites that sell products online, and everything that is an add-on (which is a lot) has a high cost associated with it.

Ease-of-use

Looks are very deceiving. It's fancy and clean-looking, but it's actually far less comprehensive, connected, and intuitive, as well as more complicated, than a variety of other options.

Functionality

It doesn't meet our needs at all.

Product Quality

It's older, slower, and less intuitive with more moving parts.

Customer Support

This is the worst part. They acted nice, but they did not seem to be based on the needs of people seeking this type of solution. For a product this critical to your business, you cannot afford to partner with someone who doesn't really seem to care about you, especially when there are better options available.

There's nothing I like. It's more expensive, more complicated, and less user-friendly by far than so many other quality companies and software options. There is nothing to like here, if you are one who actually shops for options. Their customer service is horrible.

They don't see to care about actually delivering honest business value. It's amazing they charge the prices they charge. Only non-shoppers would choose them. I made a big mistake starting down that path.

Recommendations

The upfront promises did not match with the back-end experience, and we felt like we were slowly trapped into dollars and time which would have been far better spent toward other products and organizations.

Beware of fatal errors

Ease-of-use

The navigation is confusing. There are a lot of dead ends, meaning things you can't do without buying some add-on product once you get into building campaigns, landing pages, voice, text, etc.

Functionality

The database was corrupted, which makes it not very functional at all.

Product Quality

Most any top-tier solution will at least get you back to the last save, regardless of what kind of error you encounter, but not this one.

Customer Support

They are good people, but it took days to hear back on a situation that was critical.

InfusionSoft is a great idea. They have a good approach for a basic CRM solution. Unfortunately, they do not have a proven backend database to support a cloud-based solution.

There exists the possibility that you will lose everything and the circumstances causing this issue cannot be explained other than "there were too many windows open at the same time". This, according to InfusionSoft support, is rare, which is fine unless it happens to you. Also, once they have your money, they are not going to give it back. We were in production for 30 days before a catastrophic error. So it ended up being a very expensive trial.

Recommendations

Only consider it if you can handle the risk of losing your campaigns and other customization. Also, response time for support is extremely slow. This cannot be a mission critical solution. They are growing faster than they are able to support the solution. I would encourage you to look at other, more mature solutions or give them a couple years and then take a look.

There is an awful lot to learn to get started. While it is worth it, it is not an afternoon's effort.

I have multiple points of contact for my prospects and my clients. This gives me more tools than I need to manage all of them, automate many of them, and research where my efforts work and don't work very effectively.

When you realize what they were building with this, you soon realize it is a very powerful product with significant effort being made constantly to make it more user-friendly.

Any time you contact customer or technical support, they will bend over backwards to help you out.

Every time I have had a question or problem understanding how to use this tool best, the people at the company have always gone above and beyond to support me. The people I have spoken with at this office have been professional, friendly, and clearly focused on helping me stay on track.

While I checked into how long it would take to become proficient in this software before I purchased it, my time to utilization was fairly long. It reminds me of the first time I ever used WordPerfect. It took forever just to get started and get beyond a blank screen. Then, as I got proficient at it, I hated giving it up. InfusionSoft is very similar. Thinking of it as marketing software may be underserving your own expectations. It is really more like a marketing operating system.

Recommendations

They will offer you - or even insist on getting - professional help to start using the software. See if you can't negotiate attendance at the InfusionSoft University instead. Maybe it was just me, but my capabilities increased dramatically at the University.

Pay attention to two things when evaluating this product. How does it mold to the way you market today? Secondly, how much does your business need to rework its marketing to meet the advent of the internet and the predisposition of buyers to find you online before ever contacting you? I believe InfusionSoft is one of the best at converting people searching for information online to people who will buy from you, but it is not necessarily a simple process.

Great tools, but a little clunky sometimes

It's not easy to use. It takes quite a bit of time to get the basics and much more time to get good at it. I can't explain why it's not easy, except for the fact that it takes too many steps to do anything outside of building a campaign.

Functionality

They just need to make the steps to complete tasks a lot shorter. Build a feature to enter a tracking number and mark the completion of a shipment being made along with a customer notification feature.

Product Quality

It's great quality compared to what else is out there. I would just change the items I listed above.

Customer Support

The chat support has been excellent. I'm not sure about the other methods of contact.

It seems new still. I wish it could be used as the customer service, invoicing, shipping, tool as well instead of Magento for ecommerce. It keeps track and places customers in campaigns well, but to use it as a customer service tool when people call in really takes too long and is a little clunky. For example, if someone calls in and wants us to look up their order, there are too many steps. I have to search their first name if their email doesn't work and then find the name among many. I have to click to open orders and then click through all the different orders to find the one they are looking for. This is slow if you have a customer on the phone, so I really have to use InfusionSoft as a compliment to Magento, instead of the other way around, as I was initially hoping.

Recommendations

Build out and simplify customer service, orders, invoicing, and shipping confirmation capabilities to replace Magento.

I needed immediate implementation of a CRM, and from the time I first received a call from InfusionSoft through the present, I have found them to be extremely responsive to my needs. I have four divisions within my small organization, and I needed a CRM that would be easy to understand, apply to all of the divisions, and allow me to be up and running in a few days; InfusionSoft provided this. Additionally, the head of one of the divisions needed something where she could manage her people primarily from her phone (I have a person inputting and keeping track of the information on the people in that division) and would allow her to email, call, or whatever with simplicity; InfusionSoft provides for this.

It saves me a ton of time and allows me to track ROI and do database marketing at a fraction of the price of other systems I have used. I have also been able to launch multiple campaigns simultaneously that are mostly automated and then integrate that into the daily tasks of our sales team, which saves marketing and sales a ton of time. We are doing business in five countries with less than 50 employees, including our production and shipping departments, and we are able to carry out all necessary activities without excessive effort. We have also been growing consistently at 20% since the implementation of InfusionSoft with the previous 30-year average growth of this company at only 5.3%. It's the best ROI of any investment we have made in years.

If you modify a campaign while people are running through it, you run the risk of some of them dropping out. It's a small glitch that doesn't happen often.

Recommendations

Buy it. You will not regret your decision. If you need a marketing automation system that will save you time and you have a sales team that needs an efficient way to evaluate leads, this system will make your life a dream. It's important to have a good support and launch team to help you get started and InfusionSoft has the best in the business.

At first, it was tough - no doubt about it. But so was my Mac, my PC, and all software I ever bought. But then, they trained me; they have a bazillion hours of online training on every possible subject you could think of, and if that wasn't enough, you can just give them a call, and they'll help you through any problems or just general questions.

Functionality

It's fully integrated both online and offline, and oh yeah, did I mention I had all of my outside sales staff on it too? Scheduling and rating sales appointments and getting me feedback for this national sales effort was all done in InfusionSoft. I had sales staff in six different states and four physical locations all using InfusionSoft.

Product Quality

I have seen it grow over the last 6+ years, and improvement after improvement keep making it easier for me to get business.

Customer Support

I can call, and someone actually picks up the phone. Then I can use the online chat; yep, a real person there too. Email my guy, and he gets back with me right away. What else can I say? This software has made me millions of dollars. Plain and simple.

Like anything worth pursuing, there is a bit of a learning curve on the front end. But either you learn up front the easy way - when they are there to teach you and it's new and exciting - or you learn the hard way with other CRM software that won't do everything this software can do and lose your pants in lost clients, lost opportunities, and lost revenue.

The UK support company I was given was worse than useless. Their customer service rated less than zero. Fortunately, the support from the US has been superb and really made up for any lack there.

Recommendations

First, think about what you want to sell and who you want to sell it to. Design your sales funnel and go for it. I played around with separate solutions I had to bolt together for a while. The InfusionSoft all-in-one package makes everything so much easier, especially when combined with CustomerHub, which makes online product delivery a piece of cake.
