Buyer Beware - Worst Experience Ever

Ease-of-use

Again, there is no documentation. Poor training. It's horrible. And I'm not a beginner; I own a technology agency and have been building web applications for ten years. The user experience is awful.

Functionality

I feel like my sales guy either lied to me or had no idea what the system could or couldn't do. I had a simple set of "Must-Haves." Nothing on my list was met after I actually paid for the software. The first time I knew it wasn't for me was upon first logging in; I called, and their answer was "Sorry, no refunds".

Product Quality

The web forms, landing pages, and email marketing templates all look outdated. Other than that, the look and feel of every template feature is not even usable. You'll have to spend thousands on a designer if you want your brand to look current.

Customer Support

Reps gave me different answers. I got bounced around between "Success Experts" for 3 weeks while they kept telling me that they were going to find an answer. At the time of writing this, I have had Infusionsoft for 36 days and still have yet to see a successful CRM import. Each time, their support reps have messed it up.

Likes Best

Nothing. I had the worst experience that I've ever had with a vendor.

Likes Least

The worst part is their documentation. Even if you wanted to take your learning in your own hands and avoid the headaches of support and reps, you can't because they don't document anything but basic-level features. It's simply impossible to figure it out on your own. Thus, prepare to pay for outside experts to help you do everything.

Recommendations

If you're looking for an email marketing tool, this might be ok, but if you're looking for a CRM, do not be misled. InfusionSoft doesn't have what is needed when it comes to professional Sales, Calendars, Events, Tasks, and Account management. The only thin this product does well is Email Marketing.

The Most Effective Automation System on the Market

Ease-of-use

The campaign builder took some time for me to learn, but now that I understand how to use it, it really is "easy peasy," All the answers you will need to learn are there in the HELP section, or you can use the online chat for instant assistance. I would also watch and learn from all of the training videos provided that walk you step-by-step through setting up your application.

Functionality

It does meet my needs. I am learning as I go, and look forward to more results in 2014.

Product Quality

InfusionSoft is a high-quality product. It integrates well with other programs I still want to use (like Optimize Press and iMember360 for my membership site).

Customer Support

I always receive immediate assistance for issues I am facing. I use the online chat most, and there isn't much of a wait when you call in with a question.

Likes Best

InfusionSoft helps small business owners automate and personalize their email communication to customers and prospects. I just started using the Hot Leads function and love it! I am alerted when someone in my mailing list is engaging with my touches, and this allows me to step in, and send a personal email or phone call. The system was designed to help me organize my leads, and then close sales, and I am excited for where it will take me.

Likes Least

The learning curve took some time, but when you want to see results, you must take your learning into your own hands. I joined a local user group and started to accelerate my results and understanding.

Recommendations

Ask five InfusionSoft users what they like about it, and if they would consider switching. I have never heard of someone who is using it, invested the time and energy to create their automated business, and is thinking of leaving. But don't take it from me; why not ask some people yourself?

Great software for small business sales and marketing automation

Ease-of-use

There is a learning curve but once an email, webform, pipeline, follow-up sequence, or entire campaign is created, you can clone it and reuse it for future sales, marketing, and internal workflows.

Functionality

InfusionSoft automates 80-100% of my business. Multiple times a day, I get new prospects. Prospects set appointments with me, and they are able to buy without me speaking to them. My assistant is then assigned tasks to fulfill orders, confirm appointments, etc. Every business of any size needs that type of automation.

P.S. I have personally helped at least a dozen real estate professionals grow with InfusionSoft. I'm not sure why the two previous reviewers had such a hard time, but I guess nothing is perfect for everyone.

Product Quality

InfusionSoft themselves admitted in mid-2013 that they were slowing down their new releases to shore up the foundation of the platform, and they are doing that. As I said above, I am looking forward to their enhanced email builder, web form builder, and reporting aesthetics. But overall, it's a solid platform.

Customer Support

InfusionSoft provides free, unlimited tech support for the life of your application ownership. Phone support is available during the day and chat is available 24 hours/day during the week and 6-10 hours on weekends. 24/7 support can be purchased for on a month-to-month basis.

Likes Best

The founders and executive team at InfusionSoft are honest, accessible, and committed to helping professional salespeople, sales managers, business owners, and entrepreneurs grow.

Likes Least

I wish they had a nicer email and webform builder, as well as integrated SMS and surveys. They also need to beef up the CRM to be more in line with how B2B salespeople use CRMs to track complex sales with longer sales cycles.

Recommendations

I've used InfusionSoft since 2008 to build my own sales training and marketing consulting business, and I began reselling it soon after I bought it because of the power, support, and training InfusionSoft offers. But if you don't have a documented system for sales and marketing, don't blame InfusionSoft. The software makes more sense when you have a well-thought out prospecting, marketing, and selling process.

Not for Real Estate

Ease-of-use

It is easy once you are trained. However, they give you four 1-hour sessions which is just enough to ask a few questions and get a few answers.

Functionality

It does not allow numerous things that are needed with real estate. Although they give you 100 fields that you can customize, it not enough to keep track of a transaction from beginning to end. You can't even put in multiple addresses. If you have an investor that buys more than one property, you're out of luck. There is no way you can track a client that you're handling both buying and selling. This software was designed for companies that sell products on the internet.

Product Quality

Again, if it's for real estate, you're better off finding another system. This is not for real estate.

Customer Support

There were many times we would get one answer from one support tech and another answer form someone else. Once a tech support employee becomes very knowledgeable, they move up to sell packages. This is because it takes a lot of training to customize the software to your business.

Likes Best

Product: It has customizable campaigns.
Vendor: They have good support for basic needs, but it's not advanced unless you spend a ton of money.

Likes Least

Product: It is not designed for real estate, and it does not do several functions needed for a real estate agent.
Vendor: The learning curve on this software is extensive. It appears they train support staff, and once they know the software inside and out, they move them up and start selling packages to train your staff.

Recommendations

As a previous owner of a technology company before becoming a realtor, I am very technology driven. I bought the NAEA version of InfusionSoft and felt I was sold a bill of goods.

Bad Experience with Infusionsoft

Ease-of-use

I found this to be the least intuitive software I have ever used. You will never figure out how to do many very fundamental things without having someone show you.

Functionality

Infusionsoft did not meet my needs at all. After a huge investment of time, I determined it would not have saved me time in the end.

Product Quality

As I mentioned, Infusionsoft didn't work for me or save me any time. And it was difficult to use and learn.

Customer Support

When the set up was not completed as promised, Infusionsoft asked me for more money to complete the set up. After the second time they demanded more money, I pulled the plug.

Likes Best

There was nothing that I liked about this software. It sounded very promising when the salesman was describing it, but it never did what he said it would do.

Likes Least

I would not advise anyone to risk their money subscribing to this software. When I was considering the purchase, the salesman assured me repeatedly that the software would work for my particular needs.

I was quite clear from the beginning about what I needed from the set-up process, but at the end of two months, the software was still not set up as I had requested. Infusionsoft said my set up was way over budget, and I would have to pay additional fees if I wanted more help from them, which I paid. When that was used up, the set up was still not working as I had described from the beginning.

They asked for additional fees, and at that point, I decided to pull the plug on it. I never actually used the software.

Part of the problem is that the Infusionsoft software is not at all intuitive or user-friendly. Nothing is where you would look for it. This made me particularly dependent on them. Don't think you can be a casual user of Infusionsoft. Either you invest 100 hours learning this complex and counterintuitive system, or you'??ll be dependent on them as I was. I spent quite a bit of time in their learning center, too, but never came close to learning what I would have needed to free myself from them.

Recommendations

I would advise others to be very cautious in believing what the salesman promises. And I would not advise anyone to purchase this software.
