I use only a small portion of Infusionsoft. I know this. It takes so much time to get the back end stuff working. Running a small business is hard, trying to get Infusionsoft functional to grow the business, harder. I definitely think it is a great investment if you have the time and money to get it to do what they tell you it can do. But for a small business owner it often feels like a big scam. I discovered it and was excited, signed up and loved the customer support, but they will only do so much without an extra fee. So, it is a potential investment - one that I hope i will use or will eventually leave because I simply cannot find the time or extra funds to do what will make it as valuable as it should be.

Pros

Great potential. Good customer data.

Cons

Not easy to setup. Too complicated to make work without help from Infusionsoft. Cost too much to have Infusionsoft set up for me.

Advice to Others

Research what all it comes with as part of the monthly costs and don't be fooled by the few freebies that are offered. A few campaigns does not equal a good functioning system. Determine if you have time to really put into developing what you want and if not get info on real costs for Infusionsoft to set it up for you.

I like it and what it offers, but the set up was fairly intense and I found that i could get the same value for less elsewhere.

Pros

Makes automation simpler and takes care of a lot of the minutia so you can focus on your business.

Cons

Pricey for what it offers. Other CRMs do a reasonably similar job for far less.

This program is best utilized by companies with a high volume and room in the budget for an IT person to handle additional programming requests for Infusionsoft.

Tools are only as good as the effort you put into them. Infusionsoft does take work, but once it is setup (properly) then maintaining it is a breeze and it just keeps moving my business forward.

Automation. So many of my processes are automated.

We were able to get started very quickly. Imported 4 separate lists; sent a successful email blast; and launched two campaigns with great landing pages all in the first 10 days. Great partner support. Our next email blast goes out today...

Pros

With great support from IS and our certified partner we hit the ground running and were getting real value in first 2 weeks. Despite some warnings about complexity, we have had know issues.

Cons

I wasn't able to get my first campaign started by just looking at the videos but with 5 minutes with our ICP, it was a slam dunk.

Advice to Others

Have a game plan in mind on what you want to get accomplished and then work the plan. Get others on your team involved. This is not a one person show.

Love the features, but it is a bit clunky. I can imagine using it later down the track when I have plenty of projects going on and its hard to remember things, but at the moment its not quite what works for a small agency.

It's a very big product but for large size companies due to the setup and monthly cost.

Pros

Infusionsoft’s flowchart-style campaign builder is terrific
customer service is incredible.they put a lot of effort into getting users to share ideas and help one another.

campaign automation is a really strong marketing tool. infusionsoft is upgrading their email formatting which is a really good good thing.
The support is first rate. almost without exception the support team are professional, knowledgeable, polite, friendly, and on their game. their hours of availability seem to change, however and i'd be hard pressed to tell you exactly when phone support is available and not. chat has been OK, but not of the same caliber and phone, in my experience.

the customerhub platform is a competent membership site and seems to be well integrated with infusionsoft and we have hundreds of members on the platform. you can store files, videos, audios, etc. to which you can control access by members. or you can link to vimeo or some other video server system. it's pretty...

Pros

Very easy to use, but complex enough for advanced users

Cons

There is no real time interface with USPS for providing accurate shipping costs to customers who buy physical products. that means infusionsoft's store/shopping cart is useless unless you are willing to flat rate all postage, or only sell virtual products. i have been complaining loudly about this for more than five years at every level of the company i could access, but no joy. my impression is this is a marketing/technology company and it doesn't seem that there is any real awareness of or interest in the mechanics of actually shipping real stuff to real people. i don't have any other explanation for it.

We are 4 months into using this program and still getting things configured the way that we need.

Pros

Customer service. Ease of setting up a workflow (assuming you understand workflows)

Cons

Sync with Google. We thought we would be ok, but it is not good

Advice to Others

Infusionsoft is worthwhile if you don't care about syncing with Google- if you do, I would stay away. Customer service is SUPERB!

This software offers so much but misses the goal of easy database management. It's time consuming and clunky.

This product has been amazing for our firm. I cannot recommend it enough for small businesses and large businesses alike!

Pros

This product creates an automation but also allows you to store emails, run campaigns and pull people out and put others in as needed. It also has helped us to be more responsive to clients and keep better track of all conversations with clients. AND THEIR PEOPLE ARE PHENOMENAL TO WORK WITH!

Cons

You need to take time to set up your system properly before launching it onto your website. That is really important, people who don't use the on-boarding to their full advantage to set up are missing out and that is really the only complaint I hear from people. Personally I can set up a campaign to make it do just about any result I need it to, and that is thanks to actually doing the 5 call on-boarding process effectively!

Advice to Others

Take time to figure out every step along the way to an idea and how each step needs to go in order to design campaigns that you can manage easily and give you the result you want. Put the effort into the set up!

Infusionsoft is top of the line, and makes email automation easy. In the beginning learning how to easy the system was a bit overwhelming but their customer support is fantastic. They teach you have to use every part of the system and even help you build your first campaign. If you want software that does it all I would highly recommend this product. I really like the software and I see a lot of potential but I am still learning the functions and how everything works together. But I've had a lot of good help and Brad was great for me during the sales process. My coach Paul is giving me a ton of incredible tools and since we're still in the onboarding process, I'm sure he will continue to. The software itself has exceeded my expectations but I know that there are hidden gems that I haven't discovered because I'm still learning it.

It takes a while to learn. It's not as easy to find everything without asking someone.

Just a few short years back, small business owners were not able to have the same opportunities in marketing like the big companies (such as Amazon). With Infusionsoft, small business owners are able to market just like the Amazon...and that's EXCITING!

Advice to Others

I have heard some people refer to Infusionsoft as "confusion-soft" because the software is so robust. That may have been the case in the past (I can't speak on this because I have only used Infusionsoft in my own business for the last 3 1/5 years).

I have never viewed the software as confusing...in my opinion it's not...IF you have a strategy.

The key to being successful with Infusionsoft (and any other marketing software / platforms) is to first have a strategy. If you sign into Infusionsoft without a strategy it's like building a house with no blueprints!

Built it in your mind...build it on paper...build it in Infusionsoft!

Super practical, many in one software. The pricing is perfect.
You can manage your CRM, marketing and sales and even your e-commerce on one platform.
There are fantastic integrations available also, which can help you make this extremely flexible system more specific to your industry.
Your options are almost unlimited. Birthday emails, letters, fulfilment tasks. Even you can automate your coffee ordering. How fun is that? :)

Pros

One software to solve the automation for your CRM, sales, marketing, e-commerce, referral. I love it! Saves plenty of time and money! I can hire people who don't have to spend the majority of their time on administrative tasks. It fixes follow-ups also.

Cons

It might take some time to pick up the system, but then it's really straight forward. Just takes time.

Advice to Others

If you want to build more complex things, use integrations and so, I would recommend hiring an expert. An ICP or an ICC to implement and maintain your system.
