Five Star PMS, developed by Five Star Hotel Systems, is a management system designed to assist hotels in day-to-day operations, such as front and back office duties, online reservations, catering management, inventory and point-of-sale functions.
The main front office program includes yield management to adjust rates, group management, package management and a report generator with more than 150 guest information fields and analyses on different traveler segments. The back office features include a night audit, which records all transactions and offers an executive dashboard to view up-to-date financial information.
The Internet reservations module maintains real-time rate and availability information, and allows guests to book directly from the hotel's website. Integration with Google Analytics allows hotels to gain information about who is using the booking engine.
Finally, the system offers functions to manage banquets and catering events. This module calculates an overall total price for an event using costs for room usage, food and beverages, equipment usage and outside services, all of which is integrated with the front office program.
