Pros

ADP Workforce Now is a good HR software. It provides what we need as a company. As a new user of the software, it is user friendly and it does have helpful features. I enjoy the learning bytes because it has accessible learning material.

Cons

Their current recruitment module is not mobile friendly. Would like to have more filter features to organize and manage the requisitions. You can't customize some formats of the layout of the recruitment module or the ADP home page for the quick links.

At the end of the day, ADP plays the market, that's what they're good at. They add all these software to fluff up those revenues but they're there to hold you in as long and as hard as they can by making the thought of leaving dreadful.

Pros

ADP WFN does payroll quite well (provided everything is mapped properly), it's robust and able to handle all details that impact payroll as well as those that are impacted by payroll.

Cons

The HRM side needs more work, getting answers can be like pulling teeth, different tech support, sales, specialists will tell you different things. I am quite underwhelmed thus far with ADP as a whole.

Pros

The platform is easy to use and allows for a lot of customization for employees. The wizards make on boarding and off boarding a breeze. I like that I was able to customize the homepage and add important documents for employees to access.

Cons

Healthcare integration was not simple at all. There are too many steps to enroll and terminate an employees benefits which allows for too much room for error. That is my only complaint is I had too many issues with the benefits team and getting things done. It also should include benefits support from start to finish. COBRA administration had to be done through a separate provider which for me is just too many hands in the pot.

I have dealt with adp for many years before now and had never had these issues just seems like something is going on internally in which there is no one manning the ship you can barely get a manager on the phone.

Pros

If you have a very straight forward small organization and barely need an HRIS system (not sure many companies fir into this) then this can work for you.

Cons

Terrible customer service, terrible turnaround time for any changes, not customizable, no after hour service for payroll processing, much of their staff is too new to even understand what you might need, did not submit our taxes on time causing issues with our bank accounts and freezes, and finally their system is always down (time and attendance one day, reports another) which they blame on scheduled maintenance (In the middle of a work day?). All in all the system is very sluggish and the interface is terrible.

Pros

Ease of onboarding, online Open enrollment processing,Off boarding, reporting writing, Overall there are more pro's than Cons.

Cons

Performance Management, not enough leeway in setting up internal career center- can't really brand it; career center limitations regarding candidate job search capability - they cannot search by geographic location or job title; No quick manual I can refer to- every time I have an issue I have to contact the center which can take up to 10 minutes to speak to someone. There are way too many moving parts to Workforce Now not to have a quick handy reference guide.

ADP takes their lead from their clients along with their competitive research. It is a great feeling to know such a big company cares about what you think.

Pros

I like the look and feel, the ease of use and adoption rate among my senior leaders and employees. The product is continually adding new functionality to make access to information quicker and more intuitive. Customer service used to be a disaster and ADP changed their training model last year and now it is a pleasure to speak with their support team. Everyone is knowledgeable and bends over backward to help. It was a fantastic move by ADP.

Cons

Not top of class yet BUT the frequency of updates is rapidly closing the gaps. Recruiting module needs some work but it has a lot of great features. Implementation is all about who you have on your team. Ours was incredibly rough but I know they have made some enhancements since our implementation 2 years ago.

ADP Workforce Now Works

Value for Money

I use ADP for payroll in both US & Canada, currently WFN works much better in the US. Canada is still using an old backend payroll system with the WFN front side so it does not work as smooth as it should. There are going to be Pros and Cons for any system you choose, there is no system that is going to be 100% perfect. Every company has to make their own decision based on their own needs. I've done a number of implementations with different products, and have been happy with the software choice each time based on the needs. There is going to be good and bad with any software that you choose. I've been happy with the service that I have received from ADP and the performance of WFN, yes their could be improvements and of course cost could always be less but what company doesn't want to save money if they can. All in all I don't think that you can go wrong with WFN, just make sure that you understand your company needs and that ADP understands your needs, I cannot stress this enough.

Pros

Wide range of capability
Available in other countries
Ease of Use
Quick payroll turnaround when needed
Can log in from anywhere
Quick and detailed preview prior to finalizing payroll
At a glance dashboard
ADP is responsive to feedback on Improvements

Cons

Getting direct contact with Tax Filing is difficult
Reporting capabilities is good but not great I miss Crystal Reports
Don't have the ability to write a SQL query directly against the database
Would like to see per employee cost come down

from a payroll perspective, ADP is a good solution and from an HRIS it's an ok system but from an ATS perspective, it is not the solution for us.

Secure, dependable and user friendly payroll processing. A time and attendance system. Reporting functions that allow us to track and report critical information that helps us run a better company. Offsite support and a system that is always rolling out updates and training. This is a great system for the medium to large business. You cannot go wrong with this program.

Pros

Workforce Now has changed from being a time and attendance and payroll system to a Human Resources tool I cannot do without.
I am a one person Human Resources Department and I need a HR system that can streamline and support the many functions I deal with on a daily basis. Workforce Now (WFN) does that and so much more. WFN comes with dozens of preloaded reports that allows me to run employee rosters, payroll reports, attendance reports, cost of labor by hours and earnings. It tracks tax information and General Leader Reports for our accounting department. Employees are able to electronically request time off and get manager approvals emailed to their cell phones or home computers. Managers and supervisors can make notes right in the employees electronic file so there is always a record of items they can use when doing annual reviews or disciplinary action meetings.
There is so many options available. Making sure employees get paid properly is critical, but this system and the ADP support team take payroll to a whole new level! ADP has been working diligently to make this system a workhorse in the HR department. The updates keep this system cutting edge, yet user friendly and easy to run. You will not have to worry about having outdated and stale software in a year. There is always something being improved. Just in case something does come up, WFN has a solid support team that you can reach out to for questions and assistance. And they are only a phone call away.

Cons

What do I like least? I only have a couple of issues, and the pro's far outweigh the concerns, but it seems like the support team is very busy on some Monday's and Tuesday's. When you try to call in for support the wait times can be a little long. I have learned to plan ahead and call early. If you want a least like about the software specifically then that is more difficult to answer. I guess I'd say the learning curve can feel a little intimidating when you first start to using WFN. Help is only a phone call away or a quick look up in the integrated help screens.

Software did get glitchy at times with freeze outs and hourly workers unable to clock in / out and creating a backlog of timecard edits that could not be done in bulk.

Pros

Having all of my pay and tax documents in one location. It is also extremely useful for tracking vacation and sick time.

Cons

I have bookmarks for ADP and ADP Workforce Now and frequently log in to the wrong one. Arguably I can just delete the less-used bookmark, but I am not completely sure what its purpose is yet.

Pros

When it comes to workforce management, especially when you work for a large company, reliability is paramount. ADP has provided reliability consistently for the entirety of my experience using their products/services. They have grown and evolved and have been able to retain their reputation of being a brand you can trust to deliver what you need, efficiently.

Cons

I don't usually like to knit-pick, but that's really the only way I can speak to any downfalls for ADP WorkforceNow. The dropdown menus on the webite are laggy sometimes. That's essentially it.

Pros

My work uses this and it's my first job I had using it. It seems pretty easy. I can use my sick days and my vacation days just by going online. I'm old fashioned and I'm used to clocking in on a machine that stamps a piece of paper so this is very new for me but I like it. It keeps track of everything for me so I can always go back and look at it.

Cons

If you don't have your computer you can't really go check your time card or call anyone to look at it for you.

We use this for payroll and scheduling and its very efficient. Almost everything is organized well, and located where I would expect it to be.

Cons

The way sick days are displayed, and banked is a little confusing. It will display a balance, but not let you apply it.

Pros

I like that it is easily useable from anywhere. Many of our employees work from home and ADP allows us to easily keep track of T&A

Cons

It doesn't always interface well with some of the other programs we run. Which causes us to do many calculations manually in Excel.

I've been on both the user end as well as the administrative end of payroll and ADP has made managing, tracking and recalling employee data almost effortless. It's intuitive and every update leaves it even more seamless than before.

Pros

Ease of use for both employee and HR administrator is unmatched.

Cons

I honestly don't have anything

Advice to Others

I would recommend this payroll management tool to every company with 2-2 million employees.
