iCIMS Talent Platform Software


 

iCIMS offers an online applicant tracking and recruiting solution for hiring managers and recruiters to streamline the recruiting activities. Their flagship product, iCIMS Recruit helps to store and track recruitment information at a central location and allows recruiters to post job opening details on multiple online job portals. The solution also offers an interactive dashboard for scheduling and coordinating with all recipients as well as monitoring key recruitment metrics. Candidates can also configure their dashboard for tracking job openings, application status, and interview schedules among others.

iCIMS Connect is a candidate relationship management software which helps in improving the interactions with the candidates and tracking candidate engagement levels during the recruitment process. iCIMS Onboard is an onboarding software which assists recruiters in automating onboarding process of new hires. The solution also allows recruiters to design tasks for new hires, assign task due dates, and set automated reminders to ensure successful onboarding of ever new hire.

Through its Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) framework, UNIFi, iCIMS also offers customers the ability to connect all of the talent acquisition systems under one platform.

It feels current and new, fresh. It seems to be stable, consistent, and user-friendly. It works as it should and even integrates with our less-robust payroll/benefits system.

Cons

If reporting was more real time and could update without having to run the specific reports every time. If it could update as you disposition candidates, that would be more useful as other ATS's have that feature.

Pros

New implementations clean up a lot of fixes, constantly updating the platform to be more user friendly

Overall, I cannot say enough about the ease of use with the iCIMS applicant tracking system. Having demoed many other systems, nothing came close to the layout with iCIMS. Also, the customer service provided by all of the iCIMS representatives is outstanding. We have been able to fully customize are settings to our organization and iCIMS has been there every step of the way to help us.

Cons

I don't have any real cons with the iCIMS applicant tracking system besides the fact that it's only an applicant tracking system. I would love to see the company expand into other offerings.

Cons

I am sure we are not maximizing our use of the product and that's always burdensome for me to think that we aren't.
Always feels like you are directed to finding the answers online and watching the training and figuring it out on our own.
We don't have an in-house IT expert we can depend on for iCIMS and we are not tech SME in recruiting so I think we struggle with knowing what we don't know.

Our company uses the iCIMS recruiting and onboarding platform and I've found it to be most flexible from a front end configurability standpoint. In addition, we are a Lawson shop and the iCIMs technical team is very familiar with our integration needs. For example, our direct deposit integration now has a checkpoint on the iCIMs site that validates the routing number before the file is exported - it is a huge help in identifying/reducing typos by the candidate. Finally, with many of the support teams I've worked with over the years, iCIMS is hands down the most responsive and proactive.

I have worked with 3 ATS platforms throughout my recruiting career thus far. Overall, the iCims talent management platform is fairly easy to use and user-friendly for someone with or without an experience of using an ATS system. It seems to be very to easy to integrate the platform with other technologies as well. This is tougher with older ATS platforms.

Pros

Easy to navigate and move candidates throughout the hiring process.

Cons

The reporting functions and searching functions could be easier.

Advice to Others

If you are looking to make a switch to a new ATS, I would definitely recommend considering iCims. Not only is it easy to use, but it is easy to integrate with other technologies. It is harder to integrate older ATS platforms but iCims seems to be one of the easier ones.

It truly helps me with tracking all of my applicants and getting them on boarded, however, the reporting feature could be edited a bit in order to make it more user-friendly. When it comes to updating and dealing with customer service, I will say things do take time and that should be improved.

Reporting can be confusing sometimes, needs to be more elaborate and maybe simplified. Perhaps have some reports already populated.

I do a lot of onsite recruitment consulting at area companies & have used this product several times. It has so many great bells & whistles to help automate the process and record historical data and candidate information. It's an easy-to-learn/use product that offers excellent reporting features, intuitive navigation and can be customized to suit a department's needs.

I have used icims in two different organizations, I have implemented icims and the Implementation team is great, they assist in every way possible during implementation and I have used the help support team every time I have had the tiniest question and they have helped answer every single question I asked.

Although, everything was well organized I often found that its use was not necessarily intuitive. When I trained others on the program they had a hard time getting the hang of the different screens and the different paths to get to them.

We LOVE iCims here, have for the past 10-ish years. The product keeps developing and growing; it's pretty impressive how they strive to keep pace for small to VERY large customers.

There are some places the system is a bit clunky/cumbersome for a 300 person company; but in general it works very well. Their focus on service is clear and refreshing.

Put the button back without having to wait 6 months for the next appropriate update.

Our HR department used ICIMS for a year and raved about it. Then our company moved to an "all in one" package to connect the functions between billing, payroll, HR and more. During this 2 year period HR simply had a data base of applicants .... not a recruiting tool. We came back to ICIMS specifically for it's ability to match our varied hiring flows, customize requisitions for each facility, hiring manager access, and the ability to capture metrics.

- Easy set up process - after a few ATS we knew exactly what we wanted
- Clean visuals
- Intuitive design - easy for new Hiring Manager to learn
- Catches duplicate applicants
- Search and reporting options are vast! Not limited to a few canned reports.
- Ability to capture hiring expenses
- Nice addition of Connect to capture passive applicants
- Nice integration with Job Target to push our jobs out to job boards
- Responsive Help Desk Team
- Multiple learning tools (printed guides, videos, web conferences)
- Reasonable price - we had been paying more for less functionality and consistent performance problems.

I first started working with iCIMS in 2009. In that time I have been fortunate to implement the software at two companies and several Recruiting consulting projects with clients using iCIMS.

The platform is incredibly user friendly and the best part about it is how configurable and flexible it is to each company¿s needs. Every organization has different structures and process within their Talent Acquisition and HR functions and iCIMS has truly developed their products to meet these needs.

The consistent updates to the system shows that they are on the cutting edge of recruiting enablement and technology while listening to feedback from their clients. The system has evolved so much since my first interaction with it 6 years ago.

My favorite features of the system would be the configurable dashboard, reporting functions and the email campaigns

The one drawback to the system comes from its configurability. While this is great, it does require an organization to commit time and resources to working with iCIMS to maximize its potential.
