iCIMS Connect is specifically designed to nurture passive candidates with marketing automation practices and iCIMS Onboard features electronic document and task management.

Used briefly - for about a year or so. I find it more robust than some other competing products that I have used. User-friendly in nature and very intuitive.

I will say iCims is probably one of the best talent platforms I have ever used. It takes functionality to a whole new level. It helped speed up the process from checking three different sites (Application, background and video interviews) I will say that using this tool in sync with Ultipro is awesome! All the things you need to have all your application and new hire paperwork are in one spot. The backend items spoke with Ultipro and everything just went to a smooth transition. I will say working with this system is a system I would push to use at any company I am doing talent management with.

We recently implemented iCIMS at NYU a few months ago as our recruitment software for staff and administrative positions. So far, I am really enjoying using iCIMS. It integrates with our current HRIS (Workday) seamlessly. The customization, reporting features and search functionalities are great, there's so many things you can do. I also love that you can schedule interviews directly on the iCIMS platform.

Pros

iCIMS is cloud based so you can access it from anywhere, user-friendly interface, helps differentiate internal and external applicants, all the on boarding paperwork we used to do via email or manually can now all be done directly in iCIMS which helps keep everything organized and consistent, it's great you can customize job postings since we have different Schools within NYU each with their own branding, and lastly it's great that you can group people together and mass download applications and send them to hiring managers.

iCIMS took a long time to configure, but it was well worth it. Everyone on their team is available for answering questions and troubleshooting and have been extremely friendly and responsive since Day One.

Pros

Ease of searchability, excellent email templates, huge libraries of files and questions.

Cons

Emails sent through the software often get sent to junk or spam folders.

Advice to Others

iCIMS is definitely more expensive than a lot of other softwares we researched and does not have the most attractive platform - however, it is a very powerful tool that can be harnessed with more ease than its competitors.

Good Staffing Software as long if you have Designated IT Specialist on Staff who is able to work with Software Setup and Provide Technical Support

We are in our third year of using and ICIMS and it has made my job as Director of Payroll so much easier. All the documents are in one place and I dont have to go fishing on my supervisors to find them.

The system is but not as robust as what my healthcare organization needs. There should be a mechanism within the system that allows you to create offer letters utilizing some of the data sources that the candidates references. I.e name, address, position to fill, compensation rate- annual vs. hourly, etc...

Dive deeper into integrations with current HRIS systems and ad hoc reporting needs.

We are really happy with iCIMS for our recruiting activities. The iCIMS team was able to set everything up in only 2 days and offers great customer service. before iCIMS, we were recruiting manually through job boards and printing resumes. Overall good. Great implementation and support team!
Some limitations/restrictions and extra cost, but overall good and not unreasonable. They have really tried to customize and maximize our use of the product.
The entire iCIMS platform is not fully implemented (i.e. onboarding) at this point ... hope to be by December 31, 2016.

The iCIMS talent platform as a product is a treat to use. We purchased Connect and Recruit. From sale to implementation to daty-to-day use, I couldn't be happier. I found my Account Executive to be honest, knowledgeable, and I am happy to say I got exactly what I expected -- no empty promises. iCIMS can be used as is, or it can be tailored to the needs of your organization. Currently, I am in a fast growing organization of 450; but iCIMS was a great solution for my previous company of 3000 as well. From HR to hiring manager, the platform is user friendly. In addition to being a great product, what makes iCIMS a truly remarkable solution is the level of customer service and support provided by everyone you interact with at iCIMS. I highly recommend if you are looking for an easy to implement product and want a no fuss customer service experience.

Pros

Ease of use, customer service, free updates, iCARE support, overall value. The platform requires little support from your IT team or Sys Admin. iCIMS provides great technical support as well. Integrates with most HRIS and LMS as well as countless assessment and background check products.

Cons

The mobile portion from the candidate side of things was really exciting - given the social aspect of recruiting, having a mobile-friendly app is a big plus. iCIMS also makes it really easy for hiring managers to be more involved in the process - in many cases, moreso than other products on the market - this translates to more hires, more quickly, and a better ROI.

Likes Least

I found that while working with this product at a past employer, there were problems with resume population. While this is commonplace among several softwares, this is really what stuck out here (when a resume was drawn in, the auto-populated fields were consistently misplacing information). Where this became a significant problem, was when candidates/applicants would then have to go through and manually correct and populate/paste their job titles, employer names, dates and work duties into the correct boxes after uploading a resume that was supposed to do this for them. It reflected poorly on us as an employer, and through meeting hundreds of candidates both in/formally, I found that many had abandoned their applications entirely because of this.

Recommendations

Spend a lot of time understanding what the candidate experience will be, and understanding the limitations of software (i.e. sometimes stating that only docx files can auto-populate properly means that you are better off having a resume emailed to you and manually entering it into the ATS than having candidates run through a frustrating experience).

Also, take a look at how you can build out your process AROUND the ATS - iCIMS has a lot to offer in this respect!
