Jobvite helps a lot with hiring and managing candidate information in a secure way. It has a secured CRM which keeps information. The visuals look good to me and I can easily fetch data out of it.

I like how easily Jobvite makes it interact with candidates. Keeping all messages in order all in one place is the genius. I think that user interface on recruiting end needs some help. Shifting from tab to tab often takes a long time to populate. Also, the taskbar should allow us to make additional notes to it- for example, the person to whom the task is assigned should be able to leave a small note stating " waiting for availability" or " waiting on interviewers approval" or whatever else they may need to note.

Last time I reviewed JobVite, I wasn't quite as satisfied with it as I am now. It has definitely improved and I can say I am happy with it. The new search function just got updated, so I haven't been able to use it much, but from the demos I've seen, it looks quite promising. We also recently got a new account manager and she has been very good about communicating with me and so that is always a plus too.

Streamlines Hiring

We just started using Jobvite not too long ago but I have enjoyed the product thus far. I have noticed the following since using the product:
-streamlined the hiring and application process
-easy to manage applicants and responses
-great way to see other internal position

Pros

It has made the hiring process for me more efficient.

Cons

There are some limitations to the program such as:
multiple postings
pre-questions to weed out unqualified candidates

I have used this tool for a few years and like the tool as it provides good insights about every candidate. Their team is very responsive and get back to us pretty quickly. You can configure a lot of things and not necessarily need a technical resource.
Its a good value for cost as its decently priced.

The tool is good for basic use but the team did not find it to be extensive enough for a great experience. Building automations in Jobvite required back-end help and that slowed down things for us. There is no dynamic way of making changes to workflow or approvers. The templates part does not seem to be solid and breaks from time to time for us. Security and permission settings are not very intuitive to follow.

Jobvite was a step up for my company. We out grew our former ATS about 2 years ago. With that said I do not feel that Jobvite it the right fit for our organization. Once our 2 year contact is up I don't foresee us renewing. My company needs to be able to field hundreds of applicant's through our ATS daily. It became very clear shortly after using Jobvite that this software is not meant for a company like mine. It lacks small features that I need as a Staffing Manager, in order for my tasks to be efficient. We initially offered to pay more money if they needed to customize any software but they do not do that. You have to post your change to a forum where people can vote on it. The ones with the most votes gets applied in the release. This is fine in theory but if no other companies are endorsing the idea you post to the forum it leads me to believe that Jobvite can not handle the type of recruiting we do and does not have many companies like ours. Which should have made clear to us in the initial stages of negotiation.

Pros

1. Great Level 1 Customer Service representatives, all you do is call in and someone can help you with a simple question or problem almost immediately. I use this feature often.
2. The site is user friendly, it was easy to teach members of my team how to use it.
3. Publisher tool is awesome! Very easy to post jobs to all social media outlets.

Cons

1. Sub par Level 2 Customer Service Reps, when a level 1 person can not answer your question they pass it off to a level 2 Rep. These level 2 Reps that are assigned to your case are hard to get a hold of. They are reluctant to get on the phone with you. I have had 2 separate instances where I had been passed to a level 2 Reps, I was not impressed with their customer service skills.
2. When we went through the integration process we had many meetings with the integration Rep assigned to use but towards the he fizzled out. We were not fully integrated and he passed us off to the customer service line for further questions.

Advice to Others

I would not recommend Jobvite to a company like the one I work for as I do not feel the software is fully equipt for our needs. I would recommend Jobvite to a small to mid size company that did not intend to use the software to screen, email, and connect with hundreds of candidates in a day.

This company is a fraud and has unscrupulous practices

Last year we signed up for a one year contract with Jobvite to give the site a chance. The service was fine. I was able to submit job openings and receive applications. The real problem came when an error in the accounting department shut off our service. Instead of helping me get to the bottom of the issue they forced us to sign another contract. At the time I was not told that it was a contract just that in order to have the service turned back on, I had to sign in order to post, it was April and I was at a critical juncture so I signed. By the next day their mistake was discovered and I thought everything was cleared up. Until we started receiving a new invoice for $5k! We had already paid up until June of 2016 but now they were insisting that we pay an additional $5k and extend the service until April of 2017. After months of being passed from one person to the next, with me explaining to each person why it was wrong and that we did not want to continue service they sent us to collections! No one returned my calls while I tried to get this cleared up with Jobvite and even now they still do not have the information correct. I would not let my worst enemy chose this company!

Cons

complete lack of customer service and inability to follow up on an issue. Not to mention not taking responsibility for their own mistake!

Tracking is good; reports not so much. Nice dashboard that tells you requisition activity. The dashboards looks nice and it has templates you can make for prescreening.

Pros

Easy to learn and navigate, and you can customize it to your needs. It has a simple process for candidates to apply/review application as well.

Cons

The Reports feature could use some work. Not good for running analysis.

Advice to Others

If you are a small to mid size company that doesn’t have much analytics, this would be a good platform.

Have been using Jobvite for about a year and it was easy to learn and customize. Easy to develop templates for prescreen questions for review purposes not "knock out" . Customer service can be questionable at times and may get different answers to solutions depending on who you ask. Little clunky to review candidates and bulk disposition them.

Pros

Nice dashboard that tells you your requisition activity. Easy to use and learn. Very customizable but be careful and work with a JV rep to ensure if you customize your workflow that you can report on the different steps. Easy for candidates to apply and review status of application.

Cons

Reporting function is not easy to customize reports. Have to download in Excel to manipulate data. Can't report on reasons you rejected someone or why someone turn down offer. If looking for comprehensive reports may not be the right tool. Customer service responsiveness can be delayed if issue is more challenging and may get different answers on solutions depending on who you ask. Have had issues posting to LinkedIn and has been a couple weeks since the issue arose and still not fixed.

Advice to Others

Make sure if you do customize in regards to the workflow that is won't interfere with there standard practices from a reporting standpoint as your reporting may not be accurate as a result.

it is nice to have a database to track recruiting activity! Not sure if it is just the instance my company uses, but it seems more difficult to use than necessary. Most of the time it easy to understand where candidates are in the hiring/interview process.

Overall, Jobvite is easy to navigate and has great customer support, but if you are looking for a site that is customizable with advanced search functions, this may not be for you.

Pros

It is easy to navigate through the Jobvite system and the customer service response time is very quick!

Cons

The system is not as customizable as we needed it to be and the reports feature is not user friendly.

Advice to Others

Decide what features you are looking for in your ideal ATS. If you are focused on reporting and analytics, this may not be the place for you. If you are looking for something easy to navigate with already established templates, Jobvite might work for you.

I find Jobvite very easy to implement and use however there are some UI flaws. I don't like that when you need to reschedule an interview it doesn't keep historical thread or template which requires to enter all the information all over again. Customization of interviewing scheduling templates and evaluation can be better. There is room for improvement but it's the best ATS I have worked with and hiring managers find it easy to use.

Advice to Others

If you are concerned about integration capability - ask about plugins for systems like ADP which it does integrate with.

I've worked with Jobvite in Various companies. It was an ok product a bit buggy when using it and at the time there were not a wealth of compatibility features.

Pros

It was able to track and Manage candidates.
