Jobvite enables company to build a branded career site for candidates. The solution offers a variety of tools for managing the onboarding experience and compliance.

Jobvite includes a customer relationship management (CRM) and recruitment marketing module that allows users to build talent pools of passive candidates that can be sent branded campaigns and communications.

This is a great tool, it is a bit pricey but you definitely get all of the functions you will use and more. This is a tool that any organization could grow into - if you aren't going to use the tool to its full use - its still worth it just for the easy adaptability

Pros

Easy use from screening resumes on their mobile app, to deep diving into an interview evaluation. The tool was was cross functional and there was little ramp up time which is always easily adaptable when learning a new tool.

Cons

The reporting function was a little weaker than what I would have thought, only because every other function performed at such a high level

It's relatively easy to find jobs and I do enjoy the ability to easily share opportunities rather than give potential referrals detailed instructions..

Cons

I didn't find it particularly intuitive in terms of being able to e-mail job opportunities to others. It's not impossible to figure out and I did do so, but it took longer than I thought it should have.

in comparison with other ATSs I've seen...i'm sorry but it's hard for me to find a PRO :-(. I am having a hard time identifying something that is unique or better than other ATSs.

Cons

lack of color and "icon" status option. Example: be able to know at a glance if someone has signed an offer or completed a task so I don't have to scroll through notes to know what is pending for each applicant to complete onboarding.

The best part is how you can truly customize the program to our needs to make our TA processes quick and efficient. Cons

the resume database has been down for several months. In January, I submitted an engineering ticket because it was telling me that my CareerBuilder login and password were incorrect, and the communication was great initially, but the issue was never resolved and now it seems like that whole piece of the software has been down (it is July now).

another con: often when candidates are added through Indeed, duplicate files are created. the software needs to get better at weeding out double and triple files of the same candidate.

I'm a vendor of a company who uses Jobvite and I use it to submit potential candidates for hire. The piece that I utilize has extremely user-friendly functionality. From a staffing vendor perspective, I would very much recommend this.

Pros

What I like most about this product it the minimal amount of data that is required by a staffing vendor when entering a candidate for consideration. We are all under a time crunch with recruiting and this helps tremendously.

Cons

The only con I have contradicts my pro, which is minimal information is required by the staffing vendor when entering info, so I would think data analytics isn't as robust as it could be.

I like how easily Jobvite makes it interact with candidates. Keeping all messages in order all in one place is the genius. I think that user interface on recruiting end needs some help. Shifting from tab to tab often takes a long time to populate. Also, the taskbar should allow us to make additional notes to it- for example, the person to whom the task is assigned should be able to leave a small note stating " waiting for availability" or " waiting on interviewers approval" or whatever else they may need to note.

I have used this tool for a few years and like the tool as it provides good insights about every candidate. Their team is very responsive and get back to us pretty quickly. You can configure a lot of things and not necessarily need a technical resource.

The tool is good for basic use but the team did not find it to be extensive enough for a great experience. Building automations in Jobvite required back-end help and that slowed down things for us. There is no dynamic way of making changes to workflow or approvers. The templates part does not seem to be solid and breaks from time to time for us. Security and permission settings are not very intuitive to follow.

The Social Media platform integration is still best in class. It works well and allows easy visibility for your company's jobs across all social media platforms.

Cons

There are several things, but the actual ATS part of the system seems to have been designed as an afterthought. The workflow is not intuitive and there are too many features that just are not there for a modern search firm, and I imagine it would be very frustrating for an internal corporate recruiter as well. The worst feature though is their enforced branding through email. If you use Jobvite, every time you send an email through their platform it will go out with a jobvite.com email address. This means that many of your candidates will just not see the emails you send because their junk mail filters are picking up the jobvite.com email address as spam because they have a very high junk mail score and also because the word job is in the email address. When I used Jobvite as a corporate recruiter, I was constantly having to call candidates to see if they had received my emails and when I found out they had not I was resending messages from outside of Jobvite. When I called Jobvite, they said this was not a feature that could be easily turned off, and that the only way to do this was for our sys admins to make changes to the company domain settings and if your admins are like mine, they are not going near that with a 10 foot pole. This an idiotic feature and a deal killer for anyone in the recruiting industry.

Cons

A bit slow and too many steps to move through the process. Have to download in Excel to manipulate data. Can't report on reasons you rejected someone or why someone turn down offer.

Jobvite is one of the more competitively priced recruiting systems out there. There are premium products out there that I loved, however they would have cost almost twice as much as Jobvite, which I couldn't justify for probably 10% better functionality. It's super easy to use from both a recruiter standpoint as well as an admin standpoint. The key feature of sending Jobvites makes it super easy for employees to send out (and for us to track) referrals. As an admin, I LOVE the ability to chat with a tech support person from the tool vs. calling and being on hold for hours, only to be read to from a script vs. speaking with someone who can problem solve.

Cons

Jobvite emails come from the Jobvite email address and do not allow you to embed a signature. Because of this, we do not use Jobvite for candidate communications (other than the standard "thanks for applying" email that all applicants receive. There's also no way to BCC Jobvite to track these external emails in the system. We are a smaller company (350) and our recruiters are more senior, however this could be a deal breaker for a company that uses coordinators that require more oversight.

While you can customize most of the templates, there are some that are embedded in the system that you can't change that contain awkward and stilted wording. One of them contained a grammatical error and felt it reflected on us so poorly (we're a content marketing agency) we had to disable the feature entirely.

There's also a limit to the number of the columns that can appear in the search field, so we aren't able to view all of our custom fields verifying an applicant's suitability up front, which makes the process more time consuming for recruiters as they have to view more applications one at a time.

Also, they occasionally have updates which take the product backward instead of forward, such as removing the job alerts email feature.

I know it sounds like there are more cons than pros, but the ease of use and customer support is 100% more important than all of the cons.

We analyzed multiple ATS' and decided on Jobvite. At this point, if I could select any other ATS outside of Jobvite I would be happy. Once you transition into a contract the customer service is terrible. You do not have a dedicated agent working with you, you have to contact the main customer service line and they do not prioritize any issues. They take holidays completely off. We had an issue with our site beginning the Wednesday prior to Thanksgiving and reached out in the morning. The entire day went by with no contact or resolution to our issue and we went into the Thanksgiving holiday with no contact. Jobvite customer support did not resolve our issue until Tuesday after Thanksgiving after we reached out multiple times. Our issue was significant in that none of our new candidates were coming into our account so we lost 6.5 days of new candidates all because no one takes responsibility/ownership of an account. This is completely different than the customer service during the exploratory phase. It is terrible. This is just one of the many issues we have had.

The customer service here is impeccable. I actually enjoy talking with their reps. My only problem with Jobvite is that it is not mobile friendly and their mobile app has basically zero functionality. Also their search function within the system is flawed- meaning if you search for "Joe Jackson" and the person is in the system as "Joseph Jackson"- your search with come up with no results. The reporting function was also down for a solid 2 months recently which was annoying.

Been using Jobvite for the past year. Initially never worked with it before and it was easy to learn an pick up.

Pros

ease of use- quick glance dashboard-integrate well with 0365.

Cons

Lots of slowness, sometimes outages and error messages. Also, the reporting is not very versed- meaning that many fields in JV are not reportable, so it is cumbersome at times to do reports because you have to do a lot of scrubbing of data and combining reports. - Wish it had better reporting capabilities.

Advice to Others

When there is a enhancement, we often experience outages or issues with the application, which is very frustrating and gives the customer/user the impression that development or your IT team is not testing the updates before release.

I use Jobvite daily as an admin to support recruiters and coordinators. I approve reqs, offers, and help to schedule interviews. It is easy to use and learn but there are few things that I feel could be improved. Currently working on Wokday/Jobvite integration as well as Jobvite/Docusign integration to help streamline our processes.

-Refer a friend is an easy functionality that we advertise a lot to our employees
-Scheduling is very easy to use and makes it quick for coordinators
-The home screen improvements make seeing my tasks, offers, and reqs a lot easier when I am in there daily

Cons

-Does not convert time of a scheduled interview for a candidate in a different time zone.
-Does not cluster an applicants - one person can appear 10+ times for each job they've applied to so search can be difficult; would help if a name appeared once and then showed you the jobs they've applied for to make search/sorting easier.

I am a newbie to the tool so still have quite a bit to learn. However, I would consider myself a very quick learner and in all my experience, have always been able to figure new things out quickly. The Jobvite tool is not very intuitive.

This is my second implementation of Jobvite into a start-up software environment. The support and implementation team does a great job of meeting the unique requirements, where possible, of each customer's needs.

Pros

Comprehensive and utilizes social recruiting and ease of use for non-recruiters. Good reporting functions and snapshots.

Cons

UI is clunky and the features are not always intuitive. i.e. moving someone that was hired as an intern and moving them to an FTE req and generating isn't seamless. As a result, multiple records were created and because of the ATS integration it's creating some interesting duplications of effort.

Advice to Others

Overall, very happy with Jobvite as an ATS solution for us. Would love to see it continue to evolve the ease of use aspect.

I'm a big fan of Jobvite. It's the first applicant tracking system I've used on a regular basis and I think the overall experience has been great. Easy to get ramped up on and lots of opportunities for customization.

Pros

Big fan of the manual scheduling tool.

Cons

Dissapointed there isn't an opportunity to put interviews on hold. I'm required to go in and cancel an interview rather than put it on hold. I know I can modify the schedule, but if the candidate hasn't shared his or her updated availability, it makes no sense to reschedule for a later date.

Enjoy using this product, and we are certainly happy with it overall. It does a better job than our previous ATS, and the customer service is great whenever we run into any issues or have questions. It took some time to get trained on the system, but the rep was very thorough and ensured we were up and running very quickly.

Pros

OFCCP compliance assistance tools

Cons

Few glitches that they are working out still (certain automated emails not being sent to all candidates depending on how they apply or the ability for them to track their status), and a bit difficult to customize certain items unless you reach out to customer service

Advice to Others

Would recommend it for government contractors

My team has been using Jobvite for over a year. We love the customer service the most. Also Jobvite seems to be constantly updating and improving- we appreciate that

Pros

Customer Service, ease of use, and the constant evolution of this product into something better

Cons

I would like the reporting functions to be more in depth and pervasive. I also would like the search function to be updated. It seems to randomly pull lots of irrelevant results- even when I put an exact name in, for example.
